CHAPTER 915: SOUL SWAP IS REAL

Day Ninety- Eight...

At Syphiruz Mafia Medical Facility

Nathan was standing beside Jane’s sick bed. He held her hand tightly. He still couldn’t believe that he survived the deadly poison. He felt so lucky.

However, his heart wasn’t at ease since Jane was in a coma.

Nathan leaned in, whispering something in her ear, "How long are you going to stay sleeping here? What is the purpose of living without you?"

Nathan gently caressed her face before planting a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Dad?" Ethan’s voice was heard from behind. He slowly approached his father, his hand holding his laptop.

"Ethan, come here," Nathan called him out, signaling him to come closer.

"Why are you holding that laptop?" he asked the young boy with puzzlement. "Aren’t you here to visit your mom?"

Ethan gazed at Jane with a solemn expression on his face. He didn’t know why his mother remained unconscious. He expected her to wake up yesterday.

"Dad... there is something I want to talk about with you. Can we discuss it here while waiting for my mother to wake up?"

Nathan bobbed his head as he grabbed a chair. He sat down while letting his son sit on his lap.

"What do you want to talk about? I’m listening," Nathan said, staring at his son with interest.

"Dad, do you believe in miracles?" Ethan asked him expectantly.

What he was about to discuss with his father was a supernatural thing that happened to Jane and him. Ethan didn’t know how his father would take it.

Meanwhile, Nathan smiled, ruffling Ethan’s hair. "Yes. I do believe in miracles. If not, then I guess... I wouldn’t have survived after getting poisoned."

Ethan let out a soft giggle. He was glad to hear that.

"Dad, how about a soul swap and time travel?" Ethan asked him again.

Nathan was taken aback for a moment. His son, who loves scientific things, was asking him this question.

’Soul swap... and time travel?’ Nathan furrowed his eyebrows.

"Hmm, those things only happen in novels and dramas. Why do you ask, son?" Nathan replied.

"Dad, I have the ability to see spirits and supernatural beings. Will you believe me?" Ethan’s expression turned serious as he gazed at his father.

His father was bewildered.

Ethan continued, "Dad, I know it’s hard to believe this. My Mom might forget everything once she wakes up. But I have to tell you what I know."

"My mom wrote her journal. It’s about her mission of making you fall in love with her in one hundred days to save herself and stay alive."

Nathan remained silent, just looking at his son with puzzlement and confusion.

’One hundred days mission?’

He darted his gaze back and forth between Jane and his son.

"Dad, I will not force you to believe me. I just want to let you know what my mother has gone through just to be with you."

Nathan brought his gaze back to Jane. "Does it mean... she only approached me because of her mission? Are her feelings for me not real?"

Ethan facepalmed upon hearing that. "Don’t misunderstand me, Dad. It’s not what you think. Her feelings for you are real. Why are you doubting her? Do you want me to beat you, Dad?"

Nathan chuckled upon hearing that. "I know, son. We love each other. However, what is this mission all about? Can you elaborate further? I’m a little bit confused."

"Here is your laptop, Dad. Read this!" Ethan showed him his laptop.

Nathan didn’t waste his time as he read Jane’s journal about her One Hundred Days Mission.

"I’ll leave you here for a moment. Take your time to read this, Dad."

Ethan got off his lap and handed the laptop over to him.

His curiosity was piqued as soon as he read the first sentence– 100 Days to Seduce the Devil.

’Is she referring to me as the Devil?’ Nathan pouted his lips. He didn’t know whether to cry or laugh.

Nathan started reading Jane’s journal silently. He felt like he was reading a fictional novel. But the only difference is that... this was about Jane and him.

Nathan stared intently at his laptop screen while having conflicting thoughts. He was in disbelief at first.

In the first page, Jane talked about her being in a coma. Nathan knew that it happened because of him. He attacked Jane’s assassin guild and until now, he was regretting what he did.

"A magical creature? A soul swap? A hundred-day mission to make me fall for her... " Nathan uttered in disbelief, the crease on his forehead deepening.

Nathan was stupefied for a moment as he reminisced about his first encounter with Abigail. It turned out... Jane was possessing Abigail’s body at that time. She deliberately approached him.

He wouldn’t have believed it; however, something inexplicable happened that day.

Abigail fell from the 13th floor of a building. She should have been gravely injured and hospitalized in critical condition. In the worst-case scenario, she should have died from the fall.

However, on the same day, Abigail miraculously appeared in front of him. If not for the soul swap and Bam-Bam’s divine intervention, Abigail couldn’t survive that fall. It was the most logical and acceptable explanation for this miracle.

"If this is true... then the woman I fell in love with... is not Abigail, but she is still her... my Jane."

Nathan continued reading her journal. He was debating in his mind. He wanted to know more. Even though some things were hard to believe at first, part of him couldn’t deny the possibility that those moments were true.

As he continued reading the pages, he finally understood some inexplicable incidents in the past concerning Jane while she was in her coma state.

He remembered those kiss marks that appeared on Jane’s body. He did it on Abigail but Jane’s body still received those marks.

"Jane’s soul is still connected to her body. Whatever happens to Abigail’s body will also manifest in Jane’s body. When Abigail took the bullet on my behalf, Jane’s body also suffered from the same gunshot wound. At that time, Jane was at the hand of the Red Dragon Mafia," Nathan mumbled at the realization.

"The soul swap is real..." he added.

Nathan had lost track of time just reading Jane’s journal. He just stopped when a faint noise caught his attention. He raised his head only to meet Jane’s teary eyes. She was now awake!

"Jane!" Nathan hastily stood up, dropping the laptop on the floor. He immediately approached Jane’s bed.
