80s Marriage Swap: My Should-Be-Dead Husband Lives On
Chapter 21: Waking Up in His Arms
CHAPTER 21: CHAPTER 21: WAKING UP IN HIS ARMS
Lowering his head, the man kissed those luscious cherry-red lips, which were as soft and sweet as cotton candy.
He carefully savored this delightful experience, little by little.
Like morning dew kissing a petal, tenderly and with a hint of hesitation, their lips pressed tightly together.
Touching, turning, and then as the tip of his tongue delved in, a fierce chase and entanglement began.
He raised a hand to hold the back of her head, while the other wrapped around the girl’s slender waist, pulling her closer to him.
The quiet space allowed their hormones to spread recklessly between them.
Their entanglement gradually became even more frenzied.
Unable to resist, he hugged her tighter, not enough, he wanted her even closer.
He wished he could meld her into his bones and blood.
Not allowing her any possibility of leaving him.
The girl in his arms had misty eyes, a blush on her face, and beads of sweat forming on her nose tip.
Her mouth slightly open, revealing a fresh, moist tongue, innocent yet charming.
The beast within Jiang Jingming’s heart broke free of its cage; he bent down, yearning to savor that delight once more.
Suddenly, the girl in his arms pressed down hard upon his chest.
Jiang Jingming awoke.
Jiang Jingming opened his eyes and realized Sang Yu had rolled into his arms.
Holding him tightly with both her arms and legs.
His gaze instantly became clear, he swallowed, his Adam’s apple subtly moved up and down, and his lashes trembled slightly with restraint.
How could he have had such a dream, especially with her beside him?
Thinking of last night...
He admitted, after locking eyes with her, he wanted to... but Sang Yu fled like a frightened deer.
Jiang Jingming took a deep breath, calming the unusual feeling in his body.
Their proximity brought her head just below his chin; he only needed to lower his head slightly to kiss her smooth forehead.
His eyes, flushed with suppressed desire, stared directly at Sang Yu lying in his arms.
His breathing gradually became heavy, and ink-like darkness swirled in his eyes; suddenly, his gaze landed on a specific place.
Making his body instantly heat up.
Sang Yu was wearing Wei Jin’s pajamas, which were a bit too large for her.
Now facing him like this, the neckline had slipped significantly; a slight downward glance revealed a stretch of snow-white skin.
He stiffly raised his head.
Yet what he had just seen remained etched in his mind.
A rush of heat surged towards his lower abdomen, beyond his control.
He took a deep breath, slowly moving Sang Yu’s hand away from his chest.
Just a slight shift, Sang Yu let out a dissatisfied whimper.
The leg that was draped over him shifted down a bit, inadvertently touching something that should not be touched.
The man gasped abruptly.
Sang Yu hugged him even tighter.
His body trembled slightly, heart pounding wildly; there was no way to leave now.
He could only wait for his body to slowly calm down.
Yet the culprit in his embrace remained unaware of it all; she was dreaming.
She used to have a two-meter bear on her bed, occupying half of it.
Every night, she would hug it to sleep.
The past few days, she hadn’t slept well.
Today, she finally hugged her big bear.
Though why does the bear want to escape; thankfully, she hugged it tightly enough.
Jiang Jingming looked exasperated; only near dawn did he slowly drift back to sleep.
...
Sang Yu woke up from her dream and instinctively snuggled into the warm embrace.
Suddenly, she belatedly realized something amiss,
she was not in her own home; how could there be a big bear?
Sang Yu slowly opened her eyes, and the embrace before her was no bear but a broad chest!
Sang Yu looked on in shock; it seemed she had been the one hugging someone all along, must have dreamt it last night.
She cautiously peeked at the man, finding him with eyes closed, showing no sign of waking, she sighed in relief.
Then stealthily left his embrace, getting out of bed.
Only after Sang Yu left the room did Jiang Jingming dare to open his eyes.
In fact, he had woken when Sang Yu did.
But worried she might feel embarrassed, he feigned sleep.
He sat up; fortunately, she didn’t look closely, otherwise... she would indeed be startled.
Sang Yu went downstairs, finding He Xiulan already up.
"Little Yu, you’re awake?"
Sang Yu scratched her head awkwardly, "Auntie, I got up late."
"No, no, it’s still early, want to have breakfast first?" He Xiulan showed no signs of blaming her.
"Okay."
"I made barley porridge this morning, see if you like it." He Xiulan went to the kitchen to serve porridge for Sang Yu.
Sang Yu: "Thank you, Auntie."
He Xiulan: "We’re all family, no need to be polite."
Sang Yu: "By the way, Auntie, where are my cousins?"
She suddenly realized Wei Jin and the others were not around; perhaps they hadn’t woken?
"Today’s Monday, Little Wei and the others have gone to school; your cousin went to work too."
Sang Yu felt a bit embarrassed; they were off to work while she had just woken up.
He Xiulan seemed to have noticed Sang Yu’s discomfort, saying, "Don’t mind them; I usually sleep until nine. I got up early today to make porridge for you."
Seeing the comforting intent in He Xiulan’s words, Sang Yu smiled, "Thank you, Auntie."
He Xiulan: "No worries, how’s the taste?"
Sang Yu took a big sip and gave a thumbs up, "It’s very tasty."
"That’s good, that’s good," He Xiulan laughed.
"Good morning, Auntie," Jiang Jingming’s voice came.
Sang Yu choked on the porridge she just drank.
"Cough cough cough."
Seeing her like that, Jiang Jingming stepped forward immediately, "Are you alright?"
Sang Yu waved her hand, coughing.
He Xiulan hurriedly poured a glass of water.
"You silly child, why so careless?" Her tone carried traces of concern.
Sang Yu replied after sipping some water, "It’s Auntie’s porridge, it’s too good."
She lowered her head, avoiding Jiang Jingming’s gaze; thinking of how she had been, it felt odd.
Jiang Jingming noticed her unease but didn’t confront it, only saying, "Be careful."
Sang Yu nodded quickly, "Okay."
He Xiulan watched them with a knowing smile, "Our Jingming knows how to care for his wife."
Sang Yu’s face flushed again.
He Xiulan served a bowl for Jiang Jingming too, "I just realized the vegetables in my yard haven’t been watered. I’ll go water them first; you two eat."
Saying this, she left space for the young couple.
Sang Yu felt somewhat awkward, not knowing where to place her eyes.
Admittedly, the man’s physique was quite impressive.
Thinking of the touch from this morning, those muscles were indeed firm, no wonder everyone wanted to feel his abs.
Recalling the time she watched him shower.
Those abs must feel nice to touch.
"What are you thinking about?"
"Thinking about touching your abs."
Upon saying this, Sang Yu suddenly raised her head, looking at Jiang Jingming in shock, hurriedly explaining, "No, no, I didn’t mean it that way, don’t misunderstand."
Oh no, would he think she’s a pervert?
