80s Marriage Swap: My Should-Be-Dead Husband Lives On
Chapter 66: Jiang Jingming: That’s Not Enough
CHAPTER 66: CHAPTER 66: JIANG JINGMING: THAT’S NOT ENOUGH
Jiang Jingming was helping Sang Yu with the ingredients in the kitchen.
He was pulling the vegetable stems with great force, as if the stems were someone.
His face was full of, I’m not happy.
Waiting for Sang Yu to ask him, but she had no intention of speaking up.
When he turned his head, he saw Sang Yu happily preparing the ingredients.
He had been sulking there for a long time, and she hadn’t noticed at all.
His movements became more exaggerated until they made enough noise to attract Sang Yu’s attention.
Sang Yu was drawn by the sound of Jiang Jingming picking vegetables, though it sounded more like a bomb defusal.
Unknown vegetables: Please speak up for me!!!
"What’s wrong with you?"
She finally asked.
"Nothing." But his face was full of I’m not happy but I won’t say it.
Sang Yu found it amusing, feeling that such an expression shouldn’t appear on Jiang Jingming’s face.
Yet his demeanor made her feel that Jiang Jingming was no longer just a character in a novel.
"What’s up?" Sang Yu squatted in front of Jiang Jingming, looking at him with a half-smile.
Jiang Jingming slowly raised his eyes to look at the smiling girl in front of him: "I’m not happy."
Sang Yu chuckled: "Why? You don’t like Wei Lai?"
Although Jiang Jingming’s attitude towards Wei Lai wasn’t great, you could still sense a decent relationship between them from between the lines.
"It was supposed to be just you and me today."
Sang Yu could hear some grievance.
"I thought Wei Lai hadn’t seen you in a while. Since you had time today, I wanted you two to catch up." Sang Yu explained.
Jiang Jingming put down the vegetables in his hand: "I’d rather spend some quality time with you."
Sang Yu was taken aback: "Don’t we see each other every day?"
"Not enough." The man’s eyes were deep, with a gentle shimmer, his gaze flickering as if filled with countless threads of affection, seemingly trying to draw her into the depths of his eyes.
His eyes were always hard to resist.
"What do you want then?" Sang Yu seemed to be drawn into another world by his gaze.
She began to unconsciously follow his lead.
He slowly approached until their breaths intermingled.
"Kiss me."
Sang Yu’s cheeks instantly flushed red, as he was always the one to take the initiative to kiss her.
She had never initiated before.
Looking at the man, his eyes flashed with a peculiar brilliance, like the moonlight enveloping them.
Her gaze slowly moved to the man’s lips, recalling their last kiss.
Those lips seemed very soft.
They indeed looked quite kissable.
Kiss or be kissed, why be afraid.
With determination, Sang Yu moved towards those lips.
The moment their lips met, a smile flashed in Jiang Jingming’s eyes.
Sang Yu didn’t know how to kiss, only pressing her lips against his. After a while, she tried to pull away.
Jiang Jingming, however, reached out and held her slender neck, his voice low and slightly hoarse: "That’s not enough."
In the next second, their lips pressed tightly together again, but this time it wasn’t just a simple touch like Sang Yu’s earlier.
First, the man gently swept over those soft lips, gradually deepening the kiss.
The man’s kisses were like a storm, taking her by surprise.
The scent of sweet liquids intertwined on their swirling tongues.
Her mind went blank, simply closed her eyes naturally, as if it was all meant to be.
She forgot to think, just instinctively followed him, sinking together.
"Brother Jingming, I flipped—" A sudden voice interrupted the amorous atmosphere.
Sang Yu almost instantly pushed Jiang Jingming away.
Her face blushing wildly, not daring to look back.
Lowering his head, Jiang Jingming waited until the desire in his eyes slowly faded before looking up at Wei Lai.
Wei Lai scratched his head, "Brother Jingming, I didn’t know you two were here, I just wanted to say that I finished flipping, what’s next."
Jiang Jingming said nothing, and Wei Lai swallowed, saying: "I guess I haven’t completely flipped everything, I’ll go check again."
With that, he ran off in a flash.
Sang Yu’s face was now as red as a cooked lobster, completely flushed.
Jiang Jingming watched Sang Yu’s bewildered figure, chuckling softly.
Sang Yu sneaked a glance back, only glaring at Jiang Jingming when she saw Wei Lai was gone: "You’re still laughing."
Jiang Jingming immediately apologized: "Sorry."
Sang Yu pouted: "There are people at home, how could you do this."
Jiang Jingming chuckled softly: "Then I’ll wait until there’s no one to continue."
Sang Yu looked at Jiang Jingming with a gaze full of grievance and accusation, giving him a playful scowl.
Jiang Jingming found this side of Sang Yu very cute, her soft face puffing up when she was angry, like a little squirrel, adorably fierce.
But he also knew that everything had to be in moderation, going too far wouldn’t be good.
"Sorry, I’ll try to control myself in the future."
Sang Yu snorted twice and continued preparing her ingredients.
If she had known this man would be so demanding, she wouldn’t have tried to soothe him.
Jiang Jingming seemed satisfied, watching as she became much more easygoing.
Wei Lai cautiously poked his head out from the back door, afraid of seeing something he shouldn’t.
Otherwise, Jiang Jingming might silence him for good.
But with this angle, he couldn’t see the kitchen at all.
"Brother Jingming and Sister-in-law have such a good relationship? So eager to kiss like that?"
Although he had stayed abroad for a few years, where customs were more open, he was actually quite conservative himself.
Seeing that scene made him blush and his heart race.
"What are you looking at?"
Wei Lai was so deep in thought that he didn’t even notice Jiang Jingming standing in front of him.
Startled by Jiang Jingming’s voice, Wei Lai fell to the ground.
Seeing Jiang Jingming, Wei Lai immediately stood up and dusted himself off: "Brother Jingming."
Jiang Jingming glanced at him and walked toward the backyard.
Wei Lai quickly followed him like a puppy.
"Brother Jingming, I didn’t mean to interrupt you and Sister-in-law." Wei Lai immediately admitted his mistake.
Jiang Jingming remained silent.
"Brother Jingming, you and Sister-in-law have a really good relationship."
Jiang Jingming finally raised his gaze to look at Wei Lai.
Wei Lai’s eyes lit up at once: "Brother Jingming, when did you and Sister-in-law get together? When did you get married? How come I didn’t know? Why didn’t you tell me, I wanted to attend the wedding."
Jiang Jingming: ...I knew I shouldn’t have been so lenient with him.
"Go out and buy some things."
"Why do I have to go? Can’t you let my brother-in-law do it?"
He also wanted to understand a bit about Jiang Jingming’s love life.
He found it hard to believe someone like Jiang Jingming would be interested in women.
Vaguely remembered he seemed to be cold and indifferent to everyone.
And the way Jiang Jingming acted just now was somewhat surreal to him.
"Are you going or not?"
Wei Lai: It seems like I really have to go.
"Alright, what do you need me to buy?"
Jiang Jingming casually listed a few things and sent Wei Lai off to buy them.
With his chatty nature, if not sent away, he would keep talking endlessly.
