A Blind Swordsman's Sword Coffin
Chapter 150 - Boundless Fury!
CHAPTER 150 - BOUNDLESS FURY!
Zhao Beichen leaned in and whispered a few words.
At once, Miao Chuanjiang’s expression darkened. He roared, “Useless trash!”
With a flick of his sleeve, he vanished in a flash. As he departed, he barked, “Stay in your rooms for the next two days. No one leaves!”
After that, he gathered several elders and rushed toward the Soaring Heavens Sect’s quarters.
The incident of Zhao Beichen shattering Ji Linglan’s King Spirit Void still needed to be resolved. The negotiations for such a matter demanded authority and manpower.
Hidden in the shadows, Qin Xian silently watched Miao Chuanjiang and his group take flight. He also gathered some intel from the Soaring Heavens Sect’s side. He quietly slipped away, his eyes glinting coldly.
The Daxia Sword Sect’s search continued late into the night, scouring every corner inside and outside the Heavenly Tiger City. Even after sweeping every building with their divine consciousness, there was still no sign of her.
Late that night, in a rundown courtyard outside the city, a woman stepped out, carrying a bucket of swill water. She made her way toward a trash heap.
Splash~
Song Zhi’ang wiped her brow, pausing as a faint whimper reached her ears.
Startled, she cautiously approached the trash heap. In the dim moonlight, she saw a small figure buried under the garbage, only its mouth visible.
She froze, then she saw the red floral jacket poking through the filth and instantly recognized it. Her expression shifted in an instant. Ignoring the stench, she rushed over, tearing at the heap with her bare hands.
When she finally cleared away the last of the garbage, Song Zhi’ang bit down hard on her arm to stifle a sob. Her beautiful eyes quickly filled with tears.
There, twisted grotesquely on the ground, lay a little girl. Her limbs were bent at unnatural angles, dirty trash clinging to patches of exposed white bone. Her swollen eyes were nearly sealed shut. The delicate features of her face had been ravaged—torn, bloodied, and terrifying to even look at.
Sensing someone nearby, Yu Sui’an summoned the last of her strength to crack open her right eye. Through the grime, she recognized the pretty big sister from the day before.
A low, heart-wrenching sob escaped her lips.
The pain had kept her awake for a full day and night. Trash had been dumped over her again and again. Her nose was full of the stench of wilted vegetables. Her breaths came shallow, each one like a dagger in her chest.
Tears streamed down Song Zhi’ang’s face as she kneeled helplessly, unsure how to even lift the girl without hurting her further.
Swoosh!
High above, Ye Feng swept the area with divine sense as he flew past on his sword. He spotted the small village and a woman digging through garbage under the moonlight, so he swooped down to investigate.
Song Zhi’ang looked up in awe and shock. She recognized the man from before. He was an immortal.
She immediately kneeled and kowtowed to him.
“Immortal! Please, save her! You must have a way, right?!”
Only then did Ye Feng spot Yu Sui’an. The moment his gaze landed on the broken little girl, fury and grief exploded in his chest, his blood rushing straight to his head.
Ye Feng’s eyes darkened as he frantically pulled out his jade slip and roared, “I found her! South of the city, hurry!”
“Little Bao!”
Ye Feng ignored the foul stench and crouched beside her. His chest heaved violently when he saw her mangled state up close. His bloodshot eyes twisted with rage and sorrow.
Song Zhi’ang even staggered back, frightened by the ferocity of his expression.
Tears coursed down Ye Feng’s face. His hands hovered over her broken body, trembling, afraid to touch her. He poured his purest vital energy into her, sealing her wounds and stemming the bleeding. But he couldn’t keep looking. He turned his head away.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Multiple figures streaked through the sky, with Li Nanting leading the way. When he caught sight of the scene below, his face twisted with rage. He roared, “Who did this?! I’ll kill them!”
Ye Feng sobbed, “I... I don’t dare move her...”
Li Nanting waved his hand, shattering the trash heap. He gently probed Yu Sui’an’s injuries, and his face darkened. He lifted her with the gentlest vital force and instantly vanished into the sky with her.
Senior Brother Wu Bing turned to the flustered woman and quickly got the gist of the situation. Then he ordered sternly, “Bring out all the gold and silver you have.”
Though cultivators didn’t carry much worldly wealth, they pooled together over 300 taels of gold. They stuffed the money into a large bag and solemnly handed it to the woman along with a jade slip.
“Young lady, keep this gold safe. This is a jade slip of the Daxia Sword Sect.
“If you ever face danger, shatter it. Our disciples will come to your aid. You have done a great service.”
Before she could react, Wu Bing bellowed, “Search the surroundings for any clues! And tell the entire village that if anyone dares lay a hand on Miss Song, they’ll answer to our blades!”
They scoured the surroundings, but no useful traces remained. Soon after, they took to their swords and departed.
Song Zhi’ang stood in place, dazed, cradling the heavy bag of gold and silver. Then tears burst forth uncontrollably.
A lifetime of hardship had changed in a single night—all because of one act of kindness.
She abandoned the bucket and raced back home, shouting excitedly, “Father! Your illness can be cured! You’re saved! I don’t have to go to Yanliu anymore!”
Back at the Daxia Sword Sect’s temporary quarters, the atmosphere was unbearably tense.
Inside, Qin Xian and Tu Kui—both Nascent Soul cultivators—were doing everything they could to stabilize Yu Sui’an.
Meanwhile, Li Nanting was searching through every sect’s supplies for a Bone Regrowth Pill.
Swoosh!
An elder with a pale face flew down from the sky, clutching a jade bottle. “Found it! Found it! Hurry! Quick, give it to her!”
Crash!
Just then, a door slammed open. Li Guanqi stepped out, freshly emerged from seclusion. He frowned at the commotion.
“What’s going on?” he asked. “Why all this noise in the middle of the night?”
Ye Feng and the others rushed to block his view.
Li Nanting squeezed out a strained smile and said, “N-nothing serious.”
“Guanqi, go back and cultivate. We’ll quiet down.”
But Li Guanqi could tell that something major had happened. Through the cracks between people, he glimpsed movement inside the room.
Just then, Tu Kui’s urgent voice rang out from inside, “Old Li! Stop worrying! Hurry and bring the Bone Regrowth Pill!”
The crowd parted, and Li Guanqi finally saw what was happening inside.
Boom!
