A Cutie Spoiled by Her Seven Uncles
Chapter 483: Couldn’t Help Making a Comparison
CHAPTER 483: CHAPTER 483: COULDN’T HELP MAKING A COMPARISON
Lady Ji’s lips twitched fiercely upon hearing this. Could she refuse? Just recall how her second son stopped her from feeding the tiger that elixir, and what was the result?
"You better get a cage and lock it up! Otherwise, if it harms anyone, that wouldn’t be good."
Upon hearing Lady Ji’s words, Xiaosuisui grinned, revealing her row of small white teeth, "Thank you, Grandmother!"
She ran up to grab Ji Youzhi’s sleeve. "Uncle Seven..." Her voice trailed off, and with that pouting little face, it was simply impossible for anyone to refuse her!
Ji Youzhi was helpless. He could only enlist Ji Youze to do the heavy lifting. They found a cage to house Xiaosuisui’s big cat and then had someone take it back to the Ji Mansion.
In the tower, the old monk gazed solemnly at the scar-faced child and murmured to himself, "Buddhist Karma Suisui? Or the power to summon all creation?"
As the old monk murmured to himself, the young girl sitting on the futon woke up with a soft cry. Seeing the four white-bearded old monks standing before her, she frowned.
"How did I end up here? Are you a monk from Qixia Temple?"
Hearing the child before him, he couldn’t help but recall the scar-faced child addressing the Abbot as "Master"!
And this child addressed *him* as an old monk... He was a monk and, by rights, should have emptied himself of all worldly entanglements, yet he couldn’t resist making a comparison.
"Amitabha! Young Benefactor, your body is no longer in grave danger. You may go downstairs by yourself!"
Upon hearing this, Li Yanyan initially appeared confused. However, after a moment, she remembered the incident where she had conjured an enormous tiger using her illusion.
Her face turned pale. "Old Monk, I ask you, where is my Grandma?"
The old monk closed his eyes, clasped his hands together, and sat down in a meditative posture. He said, "Benefactor, once you go downstairs, a novice monk will guide you to your relatives."
Li Yanyan turned and left upon hearing this.
Xiaosuisui, for her part, was delighted to have the big cat as her mount, even though it was currently weak, caged, and being sent back to the Ji Mansion.
However, Xiaosuisui was still imagining her triumphant return to the Capital City, riding high on her big cat, her heart leaping with joy at the thought.
"Big Kitty, you must be good. Behave in the Ji Mansion when you get there, eat well, listen carefully, and don’t bite people, okay?"
She fondly caressed the character ’king’ on the big cat’s forehead, instructing it earnestly.
This made Ji Youzhi and the few Divine Hunters present rub their foreheads in exasperation.
"Princess! This tiger is a wild animal; it can’t understand what you’re saying. In my opinion, it would be better for you to instruct the men sending it to the Ji Mansion to be extremely careful. They must not open the cage door. If it escapes and its wild nature resurfaces, and it bites someone, that would be real trouble."
Li You’an had been temporarily summoned by Ji Youzhi using a signal. He didn’t understand Xiaosuisui’s abilities, but that didn’t stop him from liking the little girl. That was why he advised her as he did.
His point made sense, Xiaosuisui thought. So she said, "No problem! Big Kitty, you know not to leave the cage, right? Stay obediently inside, recuperate, and wait for me to come back!"
Then she had her big cat sent away.
Low "AWOO, AWOO" growls from the tiger reached her ears, sounding rather pitiful.
The tiger was sent away, and everyone dispersed. News of the incident, however, quickly spread throughout the Capital City, especially among the pilgrims of Qixia Temple who had witnessed it firsthand.
They described the scene so vividly that, for a time, everyone felt the little girl was extraordinary—almost as if she could communicate with animals!
Some people began to grow suspicious of the girl with the scar on her face.
