DIVINE MEETING

"Another egg with that mortal? That's what, the third now?" Fall asked with a confused look. "He's quite good at satisfying during mating so it's inevitable that we occasionally produce an egg." Winter said with a shrug. Another wave of energy proceeds the next gods arrival as heat rolled through the air and the clouds split to reveal the sun and a massive yellow and red flaming bird, the first Moltres, Summer. "I haven't missed anything have I?" a surprisingly soft female voice asked as the form of the bird shifted into a busty African woman with short yellow and red curly hair and a vibrant yellow and red cocktail dress.-

"Nah, we all just got here. Spring should be here soon as well as Mew if she's not still fussing over that thing the human criminals made. Honestly should have just killed the lot of them as an example to the others." Fall said with a scoff. "You know that those humans are the prey of our newest member that the high one left for him. Otherwise Mew would have no doubt already made an example of them as is her right." Winter said passing me a glance in the process.-

"The thing you mentioned must be the genetic clone of Mew that Rocket created, Mew two. Even without that crime they'd still not be long for this world, I try not to make a habit of sparing my foes after all." I say seriously. "We know, after the high one decreed we wouldn't touch the human criminals as they would be for her champion to handle we've been watching for them until you were thrown into the world and began your work." Ho ho said calmly. -

After that we ended up waiting in silence for a few more minutes for the other gods who were on their way. The first to arrive was Spring, the first Lugia. She arrived in human form as a tall Caucasian woman with long silver hair and eyes wearing a white dive suit. Shortly after her arrival a white light blipped into existence mid air and expanded before fading to reveal a small glowing pink cat with a long tail that fluffed up at the end. "Looks like we are all here then, good. The meeting can begin." a mature female voice spoke up and the air seemed to tense up as all of the gods here turned serious.-

"Pfft! HAHAHA, I'm sorry but I can't do it!" Fall said as she burst into laughter ruining the atmosphere while the other gods other than me just sighed in disappointment. "What's going on?" I asked confused. "Ah we were gonna haze you by acting all serious and stuff but your face was fucking hilarious!" Fall explained as she laughed. "More or less this is just a greeting party for the newest god. Traditionally the gods whose territory falls in the area hold it. Though it's been many cycles since the last was held." Mew said with a bit of laughter of her own.-

I chuckled at this explanation before inviting everyone into my current dwelling. Mew looked over the scripts on the walls with a careful eye nodding approvingly as she did so. Fall and Summer flirted with Rune leaving him uncomfortable. Ho ho relaxed on the couch and played with the little pixie with a gentle smile. Spring mingled with my other pokemon while Winter sat by herself in a chair sipping a drink. I myself got to work in the kitchen whipping up master level foods and drinks for everyone since it was only natural to offer fine hospitality to my fellow gods.-

Mew ended up coming to me after looking over the scripts written all over my homes walls. "Your usage of the Unknown runes is a bit rough around the edges but quite good otherwise." she said approvingly. "It took a while to get there and a lot of practice with nonconductive materials but I manage well enough." I said without looking up from my knife work on the vegetables. "I can see that. It reminds me of those aura masters of old I once taught the art myself."-

" It was naïve of me to think you humans wouldn't covet that power and unite to try and take it. For all the amazing potential your race has and grand things they've done there are just as many equally negative aspects as well. " she said with a sigh. "Perfections a lie, nothing that exists is perfect. But that does not mean it's not beautiful. For all those flaws there's greatness as well. You can see it in the way we band together and even the coldest of us can show compassion. And in rare individuals it shines like a beacon that the rest look towards in awe. Oak, Steven, Cynthia and even to a degree myself." I say with a small smile.-

"I know, I've been watching the various species of the world since time immemorial. I've seen the greatest humanity had to offer and the worst as well. It's why out of the myriad species in the world they are my favorite. There's so much potential in each and every one of you that it's a treat to watch how you grow or fail to." she says brightly before leaving to mingle with my pokemon.-

I couldn't help but smile as I continued preparing the food. There was nothing for it really as I was simply in an excellent mood. In the span of merely an hour i had become a god, met the local gods and been accepted into their number and now could more or less relax. My goal was fulfilled and the sheer amount of pressure that lifted off of my mind was incredible. For perhaps the first time since I came to this world I was at peace fully. Even when I let go of nearly all my burdens in Orre there was always the impending weight of my goal pressing on the back of my mind, but now i had nothing.-

My pokemon that each held a deep connection to myself also felt this as they all seemed visibly less tense than normal or downright lazy. Even Hades whose madness and anger was a constant in it seemed calmer and less murderous by a considerable amount. The first dish I served up was a simple set of sandwiches prepared with a unique blend of gently sweet bread, tangy mustard, rich grilled meats, fresh lettuce, tomato and cucumbers and just a hint of salt and pepper.
