END OF ROCKET

I pulled up the hatch and walked down the stairs calmly with my spear in hand. The first grunt that was unfortunate enough to cross my path as I walked down the corridor barely had time to register what she was seeing before my spear had severed her head from her shoulders. The next grunts I saw fared little better though one of them managed to get out a single syllable of the word intruder before being sent on his way. It was enough though as someone heard it and pulled the alarm causing red lights to flash and a loud warning sound to fill over the whole base.-

I just sighed at this before looking at the grand tapestry and finding the part that represented the other exits to this place before casually plucking the threads that made them functional only to replace them with malfunctioning possibilities. The tapestry rippled for a moment as my changes were forced onto the world and I felt my energy drop a bit as a cost for the alteration but that was a small thing as now all that remained of Rocket was trapped in this base and unable to flee.-

Clearly Giovanni and Koga figured this out as the grunts went from scrambling to the various exits to swarming the main pathway to the entrance that I stood in the way of. None made it past me as I thrust out my spear without moving from my spot in the hallway. Even as pokemon were sent to try and force their way through me I casually dispatched them by rejecting any damage they did to me while altering any failure of my spear to fatally wound them on the first strike.-

"You must have ascended already then. Ha~ Do you know how much work went into slowly integrating Rocket into the league for a bloodless take over? All ruined because of you, a single man. Now a god. Pokemon exist to be exploited by us humans, as a human yourself you surely must know this right?" A calm familiar voice spoke up as it's owner walked around the corner. Giovanni was not a tall man but had a well built figure hidden barely beneath his black suit and a stern serious face with short oiled back brown hair.-

I shook my head at him however. "Pokemon are simple creatures true but that does not make them lesser than humans. Our races were meant to be two parts of a grand whole. Individually we could be good but together we can achieve greatness. Your philosophy has twisted this concept into a self serving thing. I don't know what it was that caused this shift but in the end I suppose it doesn't matter, you will die today for the things you've done. Be grateful that I have no desire to draw out you end or I'd allow Mew to get her pound of flesh first for your transgression in attempting to clone her." I said calmly before thrusting my spear rapidly into the ceiling above me causing blood to spurt out of Koga's neck from the crawl space he was trying to use to sneak up on me.-

Giovanni seemed actually pained by this death which genuinely surprised me. "Why that expression? From someone like you the lives of your subordinates must mean little right? You did command the others to charge me all together despite knowing only death awaited them after all." I asked and he scoffed. "I won't deny my own ruthlessness but even I care when a friend is lost. Surge, Sabrina and Koga were all people I considered friends for many years now."-

"They were amongst the first to support my ambitions and follow me. Now only I remain. Poetic isn't it? I was the first of Rocket and now I am the last. Be quick about killing me, I am not going to fight you pointlessly." he said before closing his eyes and waiting for death. I didn't gloat or brag or taunt him but simply nodded as even I could respect the courage to embrace ones death with grace.-

I didn't draw out his death and severed his head from his body in one clean slash of my spear. Like that Rocket was over and all the major criminal organizations were gone. It felt strange almost to finally be done with this crusade of mine. What started nearly four years prior had finally reached it's conclusion. I felt hollow at the achievement however as now I had no goals, no driving force. "I could go for a nap." I muttered tiredly as I rejected my location while solidifying it in my home. Before I crashed on my bed I sent a single message to the entire world through the pokenet "It is done."-

While I slept the world exploded in chaos as the message had it's intended effect. Everyone be they common folk or champion now knew that I had destroyed the final large criminal organization and celebrated. Oak pulled his influence to get everyone to leave me be even though some ignored this to look at my place from the edge of my property in hope of spotting me. Mine was a legendary achievement and even though only two other people in the world knew I was a god many couldn't help but wonder if I had taken that last step before I had taken rocket out.-

My sleep was deep and dreamless lasting an entire two days as I simply didn't wish to wake up for any of it. On the third day I finally opened my eyes feeling refreshed and ready for whatever came next. That said I had guessed that what came next was a dark tear in space opening in front of me leading to a place I was all too aware of, the distortion world. I didn't flinch away at this but just smiled and walked through the portal.-

The distortion world was still just as dark and dreary as ever when I stepped out onto one of it's rocky floating land pieces. As a mortal when I last visited this place I hadn't been able to feel it but now I could feel just how wrong the dimension. The tapestry of this place was frankly a mess that looked as though whole parts were burnt out and then patched with vastly mismatched pieces of fabric. My entire domain felt revulsion at it but I ignored it for now as I was a guest here and it would be rude to go rearranging the place willy nilly.
