HOSTING

It was a hit with everyone as even the pickiest of eaters such as Fall who didn't seem to like vegetables from her expression when she saw it seemed to enjoy the sandwiches. "Hey, you sure you aren't interested? If everything you make is this good i'll put in extra effort to make it work." Fall asked and I chuckled but shook my head. "I'm not interested in cross species relationships at the moment, maybe in a few centuries." I said honestly. "A shame, this really is quite tasty." Summer said looking just as disappointed as Fall.-

"You could just have some other master chefs prepare meals for you if you wanted to. I can almost guarantee they'd be more than happy to do so for free if they knew you were gods." I suggested and they all grimaced. "Hard pass. We tried something like that a few cycles ago, ended real nasty when it got out of hand." Fall said seriously. "You must have gotten greedy or perhaps lashed out when the people started asking for stuff in return. How close am I?" I asked and the uncomfortable look they all got told me pretty damned close.-

"Too much of a good thing can be much worse than none at all. The trick is boundaries. For example accept the free meals at high quality but ONLY the free meals, no matter how tempting taking more seems. You can also just pay for the food as well. You ARE gods after all, wealth should be easy to acquire for you if you put in a bit of effort. You for example Fall can no doubt easily find or even create thunder stones or electrical variants of plants. Both are valuable commodities that can be traded for considerable wealth." I explained seriously.-

Their eyes lit up as they understood what I meant. They could each create or find treasures that were useless to them but would be worth a fortune to people. Using the funds they got from that they could just purchase any service they wanted. They want a personal master chef? Done. A gardening master? Done. A masseuse? Done. Anything they wanted done could be achieved by using enough money. Naturally not everything needed just money to be considered but simply quality of life changes like this was not part of that.-

Besides that this trade would benefit more than just the gods as well. The people they were paying for whatever they are paying them for also would likely earn a blessing or the backing of the god in question including whatever benefits that may entail. Anyways I moved on to the second dish of the day which was a rich and thick cheese and potato soup with a base broth of Tauros bones and Farfetched bones. The potatoes were mashed to be mixed with this broth while seasonings, meat and cheese were added as needed for it to have a thick but still liquidy consistency, a bit thinner than apple sauce really.-

This was less popular with Fall since it was pretty heavily potato flavored but she still ate it so it wasn't too bad. The third dish I prepared before desert was a heavily spiced roast Slowpoke that was an incredibly heavy dish since Slowpoke were very fatty. The final dish was the desert dish that consisted of a slice of chocolate and Watmel berry cake that was alone sweet and had a tiny bit of bitterness that complemented the natural flavor of the chocolate. On top of that was a scoop of salted vanilla moo moo milk icecream that the heat of the cake started melting immediately.-

This dish was a wild success as even the reserved winter moaned a little on the first bite much to her embarrassment. "Before you all go I was wondering if I might bother you all to help find the current location of the Rockets. I could probably do it myself but covering such a distance thoroughly would take to long alone." I asked as they all prepared to leave. "do you have a map of Johto?" Mew asked casually. I nodded and opened up the map feature of my device and she pointed at a spot easily.-

"They are holed up right there in a base they think is still hidden. I followed them to it after they tried to escape your pursuit. Nobody gets away after messing with me." she said with a hint of bloodlust. "I know that better than anyone. Saw you restriction on the lifeforces of those in Rota after all." I said and she paused at that and even looked slightly embarrassed. "I should probably remove that shouldn't I?" she muttered before vanishing in a flash of light.-

"Been fun, next time you visit us kay?" Fall said with a grin before turning back into her true form along with the other gods who then shot into the skies and away, no doubt back to their own homes. 'Time to finish this up.' i thought as I faded from existence only the manifest in the location Mew indicated. It was a simple matter of rejecting my own reality as being in one location while pushing forward the reality that I was in a different spot instead. It wasn't exactly being in two places simultaneously but extremely close.-

Looking at the weave of reality I confirmed that this patch of forest that appeared normal at first glance really did hide a secret base in it. Watching the weave i saw how to get into the base normally and casually walked over to the large oak tree nearby and pushed the knot in it's side. the not wood sunk inwards with a "click" and the bark slid aside to reveal a keypad that I casually punched in the numbers 72291577 in order and hit enter. The entire tree shook slightly and slid back to reveal the hatch door it was covering the entire time.
