    too deep

    wish to leap

    on out, I keep

    trying, but I weep

    ''cause I can''t make this leap

    this trench of mine is too deep

    I start to think "why try", though, "keep

    on trying" my heart says, so I weep

    for I feel that my hearts words are too cheap

    and my mind says "this trench is horribly deep

    so don''t even try," though even with this I leap

    for I do not wish to remain in this trench so deep

    and though my mind says "it''s pointless" my heart tells me to keep

    on trying, for it is possible to get out by a leap
