CHAPTER 184: CAUGHT RED HANDED

In a beautiful glass house, two beautiful feet paddled across the floor calmly. Penny had just finished another one of her science experiment in the lab and was passing the glass of her new drugs to Osvaldo.

It was another new herbs she was trying to help cure his madness. Though he hasn’t been mad for three days in a row, she was scared it might kick in again. And this time, it might be for 6 months even.

She wanted to stop it before it happened.

"Here it is Osvaldo, ahhhh." She sag the same way he sang to her and Osvaldo just smiled.

"How do I know it’s safe Penguin?" He asked and Penny frowned.

"I wouldn’t do anything to harm you."

"You own everything I have. I can not believe mere words." Osvaldo said calmly, his chin resting on his palm as he stared at her.

Penny pouted her lips, eyeing him stylishly. "I wouldn’t dare kill someone I care about?" She said calmly.

"Really?" Osvaldo asked sarcastically and she nodded gently.

"Prove it." He said and Penny wondered what he meant by that. How was she supposed to prove she cared about him so much and that she wasn’t lying?

"How do I do that?" She asked to see Osvaldo point his lips. His index fingers pressed his soft lips gently, Penny gulped, her cheeks turning pink. She never thought in her life, after cussing God and hoping she would die a virgin, she would be cursed with a chaotic horny man.

Penny pushed herself forward, craning her neck to reach his with her eyes closed. She was so embarrassed but she was willing to do anything to help Osvaldo. Aside that, she had slowly fallen for him.

She was in love with a madman. She didn’t care if Osvaldo loved her back, she was willing to wait.

It is stupid to make the same mistake twice, but her heart just cannot help it. She hoped this time, the universe was on her side, and she wasn’t making the wrong decision.

She didn’t want to think of the fear of Osvaldo rejecting her too once he’s healed or once their contract is over. She just wanted to enjoy the moment for now. After all, she wasn’t doing anything wrong if Osvaldo is her husband.

When Penny’s lips touched his, Osvaldo’s senses exploded. But the feelings were so short as she pulled out almost immediately.

What trick was this woman playing on him?

"That’s not..."

"I’m sorry if I interupted your quality time." Darlington said sweetly, a mischievous grin on his lips.

He was happy to see this two were already doing the forbidden. In no time, he should have his grandchildren running around the mansion chanting his name.

"Enjoy yourselves in the love lab." Osvaldo rolled his eyes. It’s no wonder his penguin pulled out with such speed. He stared at the woman whose entire face has taken the colour red. She looked like she would burst of embarrassment anytime soon.

"It’s not like that grandpa, Osvaldo and I..."

"No need to explain, you haven’t done anything wrong." Darlington smiled.

"I should leave now." Penny watched the old man leave and when she turned back to the man before her, he had drank the new drugs, those golden eyes never leaving her.

"I just drank it." He said and Penny’s eyes turned wide.

"All of it?" She asked to see him nod.

"You we’re meant to drink just 10ml of it." Penny panicked.

"It’s just an overdose, I’m not dying."

"Osvaldo those drugs are strong. Don’t you dare move, wait here, I need to check you." Penny dragged him all the way to the next room where a bed laid and placed him there.

"Don’t move, I’ll keep you here for observation for the rest of the day." She stated to see him nod like an obedient child.

He even muttered, "Yes doctor." For the first time since she met this man, he was obeying her orders.

Penny was scared he might get violent, or the drugs might work too much, or he might just die. No matter what, an overdose was not a good thing.

Osvaldo laid in the bed for hours with his penguin watching over him closely. Penny didn’t move even for a minute or take her eyes off him. She conducted series of test, and for some reason, the drug did nothing to him.

Osvaldo didn’t get voilently mad, he didn’t act out, he was just normal.

Every five minutes she called his name to be sure he was still with her, and every time she called his name he always answered. "Yes Penguin." He would open one eye to look at her and Penny would let out a sigh of relief.

After what seemed like eternity, Osvaldo opened his eyes when he no longer heard from his Penguin. He turned to look at her, only to find her sleeping beside him. Her chest rising and falling.

Even Osvaldo could not explain why he hadn’t lost consciousness the past few weeks. No matter how angry or excited he got, he just stayed the same. Sane.

He sat up, and then rose to his feet. "Silly woman." It hadn’t even been three hours yet and she was already tired of watching him.

He picked her from the chair and placed her on the bed. Penny smacked her lips before sleeping again.

The next time she woke up, Osvaldo was not by her side. She was the only one the the big bed. Penny panicked. Had he gone mad again?

She had no idea what he had destroyed this time.

What if he hurt himself again?

What if he kills people?

Penny wouldn’t live with herself if that happened. Not when she caused it.

She hurried into the lab only to see Osvaldo in his lab coat mixing chemicals. Penny signed in relief.

"Osvaldo." She called softly.
