Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World
Chapter 128: The Crazy Duo
CHAPTER 128: THE CRAZY DUO
Yu Xuan strolled toward the duo, who were deep in conversation.
They looked human at first glance, but their aura told a different story.
Both stood over seven feet tall, long hair flowing down their backs. Surprisingly, they were twins though not identical.
One had a thin, scholarly build, glasses perched on his nose, while the other was a wall of muscle that could probably snap a tree in half by breathing on it.
As Yu Xuan drew closer, both pairs of eyes locked on him. The one with glasses adjusted them slightly and said, "To what do we owe the visit... of the man who killed a fellow disciple?"
Yu Xuan’s brow twitched. "It was self-defense," he replied flatly.
Inwardly, he was impressed. His conversation with Number One had been in a low voice, yet somehow these two had heard him.
Then again... this was a prison. He really should have expected sharp ears here.
"Hello. My name is Yu Xuan," he said with a polite nod.
"I’m En," said the man with glasses, "and this is my brother, Ke."
"I heard you’re both from the Myriad Path Peak," Yu Xuan said. "I was hoping we could discuss... business."
At the word business, their eyes lit up.
"Ah, are you looking for pills? Or perhaps a custom potion?" En’s voice carried a hint of excitement. "I’ve got a very wide variety."
"Unfortunately, not at the moment," Yu Xuan said. "Maybe next time. What I’m looking for now is a recommendation either a formation master or a weapon smith, you guys would know better."
En clicked his tongue in mild disappointment, no doubt imagining he’d just lost a potential guinea pig for one of his normal experiments. "You’re in luck. Ke’s both."
Ke crossed his arms, his voice a deep rumble. "What’s the specific task? Keep in mind, my services don’t come cheap."
"I’m looking for... indestructible robes."
"I can make them partially indestructible up to the Core Formation stage," Ke said matter of fact. "Anything beyond that, I’d need to call in favors. But that would cost you hundreds of thousands of sect points."
"That’s fine. How much for your version?" Yu Xuan asked. He really didn’t want to bleed his wallet dry again.
His mind drifted to the robes his master had given him, robes he refused to wear unless absolutely necessary. Those screamed ’I have arrived’ in a way that would get him killed faster than a sword to the gut.
He retrieved his plain Yu Clan robe and handed it over. Ke examined it with a faint frown.
"This is just ordinary fabric. I’ll have to replace the material first, that’s not my part, I can outsource it. After that, I can weave in durability with mini-formations. Price range would be... forty to fifty thousand sect points and I am really curious why you are not wearing the ones given by sect?"
Yu Xuan ignored his question and thought for a moment, then pulled out three more robes and handed them over.
"Take these too. But tell me, are you reliable? I want credibility before I transfer that much. I don’t want to find out I’ve been scammed."
Ke shrugged. "I won’t give you promises. What will you do?"
Yu Xuan narrowed his eyes.
He had simply assumed, that the other party was some crazy person to be captured and taken to prison even when they were not in their peaks.
So he was gambling, either they are some wierd people and he will be scammed or he can built some connection to the Myriad path peak, he remembered that his clan mate Yu Bo was there.
Yu Xuan activated [Immortal’s Gaze].
Ke flinched, just for an instant before regaining his composure.
’They’re really not ordinary...’ Yu Xuan confirmed his earlier suspicion.
"Believe me," Yu Xuan said, locking eyes with him, "I don’t like being on the losing end of a deal."
Ke, without breaking eye contact, pulled out an official looking paper and a quill. He scribbled something down, then handed it over.
"This serves as a binding agreement. If you think it’s fake, you can always sue me."
Yu Xuan glanced over the document, noting Ke’s signature. Something about it seems... odd. But with the possibility of immortal dynasties existing out there, he kept his thoughts to himself and tucked the paper away.
After some casual conversation and exchanging contacts, Yu Xuan left them and headed back to his bed.
Meanwhile, En and Ke watched his retreating back.
"What was that?" Ke muttered. "When his eyes turned golden, his spirit surged, it even pressed me into submission."
En frowned. "It was strange. His cultivation isn’t even close to mine, yet he dominated you in a battle of spirits."
"Should we... invite him to our homeland after he ascends?"
"We’ll keep observing. But maybe we should toss him a technique let’s see how he handles it."
Back on his bed, Yu Xuan was still mulling over their conversation.
From what he’d heard, the brothers weren’t here for any serious crime, they were supposedly on a private errand and a little "vacation," touring various peaks.
Even as inner disciples, they’d had to get multiple layers of approval to wander around.
And yes, they were inner disciples.
The reason they were stuck here was... bizarre.
En — whom Yu Xuan now mentally dubbed the crazy alchemist, had been experimenting with a new pill in a crowded street.
The pill was supposed to "rapidly purify one’s meridians." Instead, it exploded in a puff of strange, shimmering mist.
Ke reacted quickly, deploying a talisman that created a barrier to prevent the mist from drifting away. Unfortunately, it also trapped dozens of unsuspecting pedestrians inside.
At first, everyone thought it was harmless. Some even took a deep breath, curious about the fragrance. That was when disaster struck.
Someone farted and a loud, unmistakable PFFFRRT! echoed through the barrier.
The culprit froze in shame. But before anyone could point fingers, another fart joined in.
Then, like a chain reaction, everyone trapped inside began farting uncontrollably.
Within seconds, it was a symphony — no, a battlefield of gas.
The mist, it turned out, truly did purify the body... by violently expelling all impurities from the digestive system at once.
The smell was so potent it made a Foundation Establishment cultivator’s eyes water.
A Core Formation disciple who happened to pass by was seen fleeing while holding his nose. Somewhere in the chaos, a poor disciple fainted, face down, never knowing who dealt the final blow.
By the time the talisman barrier was dispelled, the street looked like a war zone. No one was injured, but public harmony had been annihilated.
And thus, for "disturbing public order" En and Ke were thrown into the holding cell.
