CHAPTER 473: CHAPTER 473: WAKING UP IN HIS ARMS EVERY DAY 3
"Last night, she kept taking care of me, now she’s asleep on the sofa."
Matthew Morgan’s simple words instantly made Chloe Grant and Isabella Gray breathe a sigh of relief.
"I see..."
Even through the phone, Isabella’s sigh of relief was audible.
Chloe felt the pressure again.
She instinctively glanced at Matthew, her expression somewhat aggrieved.
Matthew looked at her, moving his hand from the back of her head to her face, gently pinching it.
His eyes were fixed on her, and he said into the phone, "She was busy all night, let her sleep."
After speaking, he lowered his head and kissed Chloe’s lips.
"Alright, that’ll do." Isabella also cared for Chloe.
Knowing that she had taken care of him all night, she naturally wanted Chloe to rest well.
"I brought you some nourishing soup and put it in the fridge. When Chloe wakes up, have her heat it up for you, and she should share it too," Isabella instructed.
After saying this, she paused, "No, that’s not good. As soon as Chloe wakes up, she loses track of time. If she sleeps until the afternoon, will you wait the whole time?
I’ll head down to the kitchen, you freshen up and come downstairs quietly, it’ll be fine."
"Okay, I got it."
After hanging up the phone, Chloe strained her ears, listening to the footsteps fade away outside the door, and only then did she relax a little.
She patted her chest, "Phew, thank goodness."
Matthew watched her from the side, a faint smile on his lips, "So, when do you plan on telling her?"
As Chloe was about to answer, Matthew pressed closer, "Tell her her granddaughter is going to become her daughter-in-law."
His words made Chloe’s face turn beet red.
She instinctively retorted, "Who wants to marry you!"
They hadn’t even properly dated, what marriage!
Chloe, still sulking, lifted the quilt to get off the bed, but was swiftly pulled back by Matthew, holding her down on the bed as he leaned over.
"If you don’t marry me, are you planning to stay single for life, hmm?" His voice was low, teasing in the intimate atmosphere.
"You’re... you’re so full of yourself..."
Chloe muttered, could she really be single for life if she didn’t marry him?
"Who knows, I might meet someone better than you... umph!"
She hadn’t even finished speaking when Matthew firmly pinched her cheeks, making it impossible for her to speak properly as her mouth formed an "O" shape.
Matthew moved closer, biting her as a playful punishment, throwing out, "You’ll never meet someone better than me. And I won’t allow it."
"Chloe, when I let you go back then, you didn’t. Now that you’re by my side, you can’t leave."
As he spoke, his cool lips barely brushed against Chloe’s cheek, stirring ripples of emotion in her heart, making every pore on her body come alive because of him.
His lips descended.
Contrary to his domineering and indifferent personality.
His kisses were always gentle, extremely patient, tender as water.
Chloe’s only kissing experience had been with him.
Before knowing it was him, she had only found the kisses to be lingering and tender.
Though dominating and assertive, there was softness in his way.
As the kiss ended, their lips and tongues shared the taste of each other.
When they locked eyes, they both smiled warmly.
As Matthew lowered his head, their noses brushed, Chloe closed her eyes as if savoring the moment.
"Uncle Morgan..."
She called out softly.
No particular topic or words, just wanting to call out.
"Chloe," he responded.
At this moment, Chloe felt happy.
The person she called out to responded with the gentlest reply.
