Addicted After Marriage: Marrying My Abstinent Boss
Chapter 163: He Stole Her Heart
CHAPTER 163: CHAPTER 163: HE STOLE HER HEART
"Professor Irving, that’s too much." His voice was broken and hoarse, extremely restrained.
"Yeah, right, it is quite over the top."
She washed the towel, took clean clothes from the rack, and dressed him, buttoning him up tightly.
With a look that said, "What can you do about it?"
Her actions weren’t gentle; instead, they grew increasingly rough.
Ethan Sinclair scoffed and paid no mind.
Then, Hugh Irving dressed him in pants.
"Alright, out you go," she said.
Ethan obeyed and walked out of the bathroom.
After taking some fever medicine, his body felt significantly better. Not being pretentious, he sat at the dining table and ate the late-night meal that Hugh Irving brought.
While eating, he kept his eyes on Hugh Irving, and his mind was quite complicated.
Hugh Irving folded her arms and sat on the sofa. After he had almost finished eating, she left, leaving the keys behind.
The moment she closed the door, Ethan’s hand paused for a moment, instantly losing his appetite.
She left without a word, without a trace of reluctance.
He sent a message to Zane Sterling: "Repay the money."
Meanwhile, Zane laughed sarcastically and replied, "In your dreams."
He knew Ethan was impatient, so it was inevitable he’d leave, but thankfully he came, so it couldn’t be said there was no feeling.
Then, he called Colby Jennings.
[Hey, do you know what that woman named Xu is up to?]
Colby Jennings was lying in bed, looking tired and about to fall asleep.
Upon hearing Zane’s voice, he instantly became alert.
[Mr. Sterling, sorry, I really don’t know her intentions. Anyway, nothing went wrong, right? Considering your charm, what are you afraid of?]
[I’m afraid your life isn’t short enough!]
Opposite, Colby Jennings was so scared he shivered.
Smack!
Zane hung up the phone, tossing it aside.
Sophia Lowell, lying on the bed asleep, furrowed her brow, turned over, murmured, and continued sleeping.
There was nothing he could do; his wife was too beautiful, and it was normal for her to be attractive. He had to proclaim it widely so everyone knew she was taken.
He carefully lifted the thin blanket, crawled in, and embraced her in his arms.
"Honey..."
"Honey, honey..."
"Oh, Zane, just rest a bit..."
Sophia furrowed her brow, moved her shoulders slightly.
It had been less than twenty minutes, her body was still relaxed, and she hadn’t fully rested yet.
Zane felt aggrieved.
Sophia slightly opened her eyes, extremely sleepy, "Zane, keep it down..."
"I can’t, you make him calm down, I really can’t control it."
He rested his chin on top of her head.
"Don’t make me kick you off." She replied blandly.
"Alright, alright, alright..."
——
For the long term ahead, Zane and Ethan started to get busy with the company’s listing, leaving early and returning late, often sleeping less than six hours a day.
Soon, the driverless car company went public, causing excitement throughout Sterling Group.
Zane distributed benefits to all departments and invited key staff and renowned individuals from inside and outside the industry to the celebration banquet.
The celebration was held at [Mountainview Farmstead].
The farm was booked for the occasion; many had signed in at the farm in the morning, but the actual banquet would start at six in the evening.
Zane and Ethan were still busy at the company.
Sophia Lowell and Hugh Irving, along with others, arrived at the farm to have fun first.
Accompanying them were Nathan Jennings and her contractual husband, Clay Gable.
Colby Jennings, of course, came along, aiming for Hugh Irving.
Only the exterior areas of the farm were open; the interior was still under inspection and setup.
So they were having fun outside.
The farm featured a gigantic heated swimming pool and numerous small hot springs, as they had been informed before. Many came specifically to swim and soak in the hot springs.
Naturally, they wouldn’t miss this perfect opportunity.
The men had nothing much to change; they switched to swim trunks and soaked in the water.
But the women weren’t as quick.
After changing clothes, they still had to take pictures everywhere with their phones.
Sophia dressed in a pure yet alluring sexy one-piece swimsuit, with a large bow covering her chest in the front and a U-shaped backless design, with lace-trimmed triangular cuts, highlighting her perfect figure.
Hugh Irving, being more liberal than the others, wore an underwear-styled swimsuit, showcasing her advantages entirely.
Nathan Jennings was relatively conservative, wearing a sporty one-piece swimsuit. But with her great figure and baby face, one couldn’t help but glance a few more times.
"Can we go that way?" Nathan Jennings saw Clay Gable and Colby Jennings not far from the gate.
She pointed in another direction, clearly unwilling to run into these two men.
Colby Jennings wouldn’t let her wander aimlessly, and Clay Gable followed her around whenever he was free, making her feel like life was being controlled.
"And you’re this afraid before even getting married; what about post-marriage?" Hugh Irving mumbled.
Even she felt intimidated seeing it.
But it seemed marrying Sophia to Zane was a different story.
They seemed to get along quite well.
They came to another area of the deep-water zone, planning to swim first before soaking in the hot spring, to avoid feeling too cold.
The weather in May wasn’t suitable for prolonged cold-water exposure.
"Nathan, you and Clay Gable ended up signing the agreement?" Hugh Irving asked.
Nathan Jennings pursed her lips and said, "Yes, he cooperated well, seems like a good guy. I just haven’t figured out how to get along with him yet."
"I heard the date is set for you two?" Sophia Lowell entered the water first.
She shivered, but it was okay, with the sun being somewhat strong, otherwise, she wouldn’t have dared to dive in.
"Yes, it’s set, May 20th. Invitations will be sent in a couple of days." Nathan Jennings entered the water with little enthusiasm.
"It’s a good date; I hope he’s a good man too," Hugh Irving sighed, noting everyone seemed to have families now, making it less convenient for outings.
Nathan Jennings blushed.
Clay Gable should be considered a good man; he seemed nice these days.
Yet one matter was particularly hard for her to talk about.
Her grandfather kicked her out of the house, sending her to Clay Gable’s villa. Even though they slept in separate rooms, seeing each other was unavoidable, making things awkward.
She even overheard from the maid that Clay Gable almost never stayed home before; now, with Nathan Jennings moving in, he seemed to be around the house constantly, even bringing his computer back home.
He appeared to never leave unless necessary.
"Hey, Nathan, hasn’t your heart been stolen by him in less than half a month?" Sophia Lowell teased.
Clay Gable was quite the sweet guy; Nathan Jennings was undoubtedly charmed by him.
Watching Nathan Jennings with her budding face, blush-filled, she couldn’t help but redden whenever she saw Clay Gable.
Clearly, she liked him but was too shy to admit it out loud.
"I don’t know, but whether awake or asleep, it’s all about him. I feel like I’m poisoned."
Nathan Jennings dared not think further, hurriedly diving into the water, vanishing from the two women’s sight with a graceful swim.
Sophia Lowell chuckled, her gaze returning to Hugh Irving.
"What about you?" she asked.
Of course, referring to her and Ethan Sinclair.
"Me? I plan to stay unmarried; you know that," Hugh Irving responded decisively.
After walking out of Ethan Sinclair’s house that night, it was indeed like Nathan Jennings said; her mind was full of images of him, both awake and asleep.
She couldn’t even sleep well.
Whenever it came to her ovulation period, it felt particularly uncomfortable, dreaming of him even in her sleep.
It was like seeing a ghost indeed.
