After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic
Chapter 106: Officer, Arrest my Sister and Cousin!
CHAPTER 106: CHAPTER 106: OFFICER, ARREST MY SISTER AND COUSIN!
Isabella Weaver spent the entire afternoon at the police station giving a statement.
Whatever the police asked, she simply replied, "I don’t know," which frustrated Danny Cameron and the others to no end.
However, no one dared to push her.
They all knew she was Christopher Weaver’s daughter and Ella Weaver’s sister, and for Christopher’s sake, they had to treat her well.
This was also why Isabella declared her identity as soon as she arrived.
She sat quietly and calmly, knowing that without evidence, she couldn’t be detained. If they got nothing from her, they would naturally let her go.
She just didn’t expect to be questioned for so long.
It seemed that Ella Weaver had already spoken to Officer Cameron.
"Officer Cameron."
"What, are you ready to confess?"
"I have nothing to confess. I just want to ask you if you like my sister?"
Danny Cameron’s face suddenly changed: "What nonsense are you talking? I’m interrogating you, not the other way around!"
"Ella Weaver wouldn’t like someone like you. Stop wasting your time trying to please her."
Danny’s intention was so plainly exposed, he was utterly embarrassed!
"I’m a cop, investigating the disappearance of your parents! Don’t accuse me carelessly!"
"Indeed."
Isabella, tired from the afternoon questioning, spoke with a slightly hoarse voice: "Then why don’t you interrogate Ella too? Since it’s my parents who are missing, I’m filing a report too. Officer Cameron, I suspect their disappearance is related to both Ella and my cousin Alexander Parker. Go ahead and arrest them!"
Great, if she couldn’t leave, they might as well come in to keep her company!
Danny Cameron was dumbfounded by what he heard!
Arrest Ella Weaver?
"What evidence do you have to suspect them?"
"What evidence does Ella have to suspect me? Show it to me."
Of course, there wasn’t any evidence!
Danny could only call Ella Weaver.
Ella thought there was news and arrived quickly.
Upon seeing her, Isabella gave a smile devoid of warmth: "Sister, Mom and Dad are missing. My first suspect is you, officers, interrogate her! However you interrogate me, do the same with her. If there’s any preferential treatment, I’ll report you!"
Ella was shocked: "You suspect me? How could I!"
But Isabella ignored her and turned to the officers: "There’s another major suspect, Alexander Parker. He once said if I didn’t marry him, he’d kill my entire family. My sister can testify, you can ask her."
Danny Cameron, being a policeman, instinctively asked Ella, "Is what she’s saying true?"
"Well... it is, but..."
Before she could finish, Danny had already given the order: "Bring him to the station! I’ll question him personally!"
It didn’t take long; Alexander Parker was also brought to the police station.
As soon as Ella saw him, she cried, "Cousin, Isabella insisted on calling the police to have you arrested. No matter how I persuaded her, she wouldn’t listen!"
She played the victim first, hoping to block Isabella’s way.
Unfortunately, she forgot that her intelligence was no match for Alexander.
"Why are you crying? It’s hideous! I told you to call the police on the man who tricked us into marriage, not to bring Isabella in!"
Alexander’s face was grim as he walked straight to Isabella, half-kneeling before her, and asked, "Cousin, did anyone bully you? As soon as I heard you were here, I came immediately!"
But Isabella didn’t look at him, instead staring at the door. A glimmer of light flashed in her dim eyes, unblinking.
Alexander’s heart sank, and he slowly turned to see a silhouette he had anticipated.
