After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic
Chapter 214 I Miss You
CHAPTER 214: CHAPTER 214 I MISS YOU
Over half an hour later, when Reese Renfrew and Ryan Parker returned, they found Alexander Parker’s hospital bed empty.
"Ella, where’s your cousin?!"
Ella Weaver sleepily turned over, "I don’t know!"
She had only dozed off for a little while; how was Alexander gone?
"His eyes can’t see, he shouldn’t have gone far, maybe he’s just outside!"
However, Reese and Ryan frantically searched the hospital inside out, but couldn’t find him!
Reese cried bitterly, "Where did he go? He can’t see anything, what if something happens to him out there?"
...
Wayne University.
Isabella Weaver’s taxi stopped at the campus gate. She paid the fare, got out, and as she was about to enter the campus, she suddenly caught sight of a familiar figure.
Her body stiffened for a minute, then she turned pale with fright, "Cousin, watch out!"
With a loud "bang," a bicycle crashed into Alexander, knocking him to the ground. The bike owner immediately cursed, "Are you blind? Can’t even dodge when a bike’s coming! Idiot!"
Isabella hurried over and helped Alexander up, glaring coldly at the other person, "He really can’t see, but your eyes clearly can, yet you crashed into him. You’re the one who’s idiotic!"
She rarely cursed unless she was extremely provoked.
The person waved a hand in front of Alexander’s face, realizing he truly couldn’t see, hastily apologized, and rode away.
Isabella was even more angered; the person’s apologetic attitude was so aggressive, utterly lacking manners!
Alexander simply chuckled, as if he wasn’t the one hit.
"Cousin, why are you laughing? He hit you; why didn’t you beat him up?"
"Didn’t you curse him for me, Cousin? I’m quite satisfied with that."
Isabella couldn’t understand his logic. He used to never take a loss, but now she cursed at someone a bit, and he acted as if he had gained something.
"Don’t be angry, Cousin. I don’t want you to be upset. If you really want him to be beaten up, I’ll get him back when my eyes are healed."
Isabella glared at him, even blindness doesn’t stop him from using the Mind Reading Technique!
However, since he can’t see anything now, glaring at him was pointless.
"Are you hurt?"
"No, I’m fine. Did I scare you, Cousin?"
Alexander spoke as he reached out to stroke Isabella’s face.
Isabella dodged, "Why did you come? Wandering around blind, something could happen."
Alexander missed, so he simply pulled Isabella into his embrace gently, sighing tenderly, "I missed you."
"You shouldn’t have come out; surely your family is searching for you."
"I heard you won the championship, so I came especially to congratulate you."
"It’s a bit cold; you’re dressed too lightly. Go back to the hospital!"
"I’m really lucky to have waited and found you here."
Isabella angrily pushed him away; what’s going on, talking to him was like being on completely different wavelengths!
"Cousin, I bought you a gift."
Alexander took out a small box from his coat pocket and handed it to her.
Isabella opened it and inside was a huge diamond ring the size of a pigeon’s egg!
She had been cramming knowledge on jewelry recently and estimated the diamond was at least twenty million!
She instantly stuffed it back into his hand, "I don’t want it!"
She thought Alexander would insist on giving it to her as he used to, but unexpectedly, he didn’t.
"Does Cousin think, because this money isn’t earned by me, that’s why you don’t want it?"
Isabella didn’t quite understand what he meant at that moment; does it matter whether he earned it or not?
But as long as there’s a reason to refuse him, it was fine: "Yes, you don’t earn anything, stop buying me things."
Alexander’s heart clenched as he tightly held the ring, "Alright, I understand."
