Connor was shocked: "What?!"

"This is currently top secret. Lucas wasn’t supposed to say anything, but he feared if he killed your woman, you might retaliate, so he told me."

Connor was stunned. He pulled the car over to the roadside, steadied his mind, and spoke calmly: "Young Master, I don’t think she’s a thief."

"Lucas says the higher-ups suspect she’s a spy."

"She’s not! She told me she hasn’t killed innocent people; she only completes tasks for the special forces!"

"Her words can’t be trusted."

"I choose to believe her! When she said those words to me, she definitely wasn’t lying!"

Harry Hunter was indifferent about whether Natalie Niles was a good person or a bad person, or about whom she had killed. He himself was cold-hearted and ruthless; as long as Natalie didn’t bully Isabella Weaver and stayed out of his way, everything was fine.

Therefore, he remained neutral in his opinion: "Lucas doesn’t have evidence, she might be wronged. Do you want to save her?"

"Go save her!"

Connor’s eyes grew red: "I miss her a lot."

Harry Hunter had just left Moonlight Tower, and shortly after, the building was surrounded by people holding banners.

On the banners, phrases like "Moonlight Jewelry maliciously competes, forcing Weaver Clan to bankruptcy" and "A treacherous daughter, seizing family assets, completely heartless" were displayed, alongside "Isabella Weaver, return justice to us," among other similar words.

Isabella Weaver held a cup of coffee, standing upstairs watching the crowd below grow larger. There were many reporters interviewing and taking pictures; her face remained icy cold.

She had just dealt with her mother’s funeral and hadn’t had time to catch her breath before Christopher Weaver came to smear and slander her!

She suddenly found it laughable!

Other people’s fathers cared for their daughters, afraid they’d suffer even a little, whereas Christopher was fearful she’d succeed, wanting to drag her down even if he was bankrupt!

Secretary Landon knocked and entered the room: "President, your father is in our lobby downstairs and wants to see you."

"I won’t see him."

"But if he makes a scene, it could be detrimental to our company’s reputation and to you."

"Tell him in front of all the reporters, if he goes to my mother’s grave and kneels for three days, I’ll see him."

"Understood."

Secretary Landon went off to do his bidding.

In the lobby, Christopher Weaver was unlike his usual self, lacking poise and image, with disheveled hair, unshaven beard, and a wrinkled suit, looking utterly defeated.

"Make Isabella come down to see me! I’m her father; today I want to ask her what benefit she gets by bankrupting my company?"

"Your company lets such a heartless person be president; the outcome will be no better than mine! She won’t even spare her own father and uses any means to suppress me. You’ll all be trampled by her!"

"Why doesn’t Isabella dare to see me? She’s guilty! I gave her the best upbringing, provided her with extraordinary talent, and to seize family assets, she used despicable methods!"

Christopher Weaver continued to rant into the reporters’ cameras, the bankruptcy almost driving him to collapse. He had lost everything and had nothing left to fear.
