After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic
Chapter 95: Not in the Mood to Have Children
CHAPTER 95: CHAPTER 95: NOT IN THE MOOD TO HAVE CHILDREN
"That won’t work either, we’re just in a contract marriage, I can’t take advantage of you." Isabella Weaver stood up and was about to leave.
Harry Hunter was slightly exasperated. Couldn’t she see the big words on his face saying "I just want you to take advantage"?
"Finish your meal before you go. Aunt Hart made a lot of dishes, I can’t finish them alone."
Seeing her hesitation, Harry added, "She was happy to receive the red envelope yesterday and is waiting for your praise today to get another one. You don’t want to leave her without a red envelope, do you?"
Isabella thought for a moment and finally nodded, "Then I’ll trouble you one more time, next time I’ll treat you."
"Okay."
Harry was somewhat amused and helpless, never seen a wife like this, thinking about the maid and pulling money from her husband.
Aunt Hart and her companion finished cooking, tidied up the house, received two more red envelopes, and left with endless gratitude.
This time Harry didn’t fuss, quietly had dinner, washed the dishes with Isabella, then walked her to the villa’s door, softly reminding her, "Drive safely, send me a message when you get home."
"Okay." Isabella agreed, started the car, and left.
As soon as she left, Harry called Connor, "Connor, buy that guest house!"
"Yes, Young Master!"
Connor didn’t need to ask which guest house it was. The Young Master had been busy lately, and everything unrelated to the Star Region Group was about Isabella, including Wayne University.
After seeing Isabella off, Harry returned alone to the living room and suddenly felt it was too big and a bit desolate.
The phone on the sofa kept ringing. He glanced at it; it was Ben Hunter calling.
He picked up, and the old man’s irritated voice came through, "What are you up to, kid? You just took over and already shut down Wayne University? The principal and the board came crying to me! Do whatever with Star Region Group, but Wayne University has so many students, are you saying they don’t need to graduate?"
"Your granddaughter-in-law was expelled from Wayne University. Your grandson is unhappy and not in the mood to have children. Do as you see fit."
Ben Hunter was stunned by that one line: "What?! "
Harry’s tone was sorrowful, "Your grandson is so useless he can’t even protect his wife’s student status, might as well shut down the school and build a new one with Isabella as principal, what do you think?"
"My dear grandson, don’t be impulsive! The school Grandpa founded with his own hands is still needed!"
Ben Hunter calmed his grandson with a few words, put his phone on speaker, and lashed out at those around him: "Who was the blind one that expelled my granddaughter-in-law?! Elliot Archer, you all have grown defiant, huh? Planning to expel me next? Still have the face to come to me crying? Want to pressure my grandson? Get out of here, all of you!"
Elliot Archer, the principal of Wayne University, along with the school board members knelt down, hurriedly pleading, "Old Master Hunter, we’ve been wronged, we really didn’t know Isabella was your granddaughter-in-law, if we had, we wouldn’t dare touch her!"
"Old Master, we’ve already told Young Master Hunter we can immediately reinstate Isabella’s student status, but Young Master refuses, insists on shutting down the school, please save us!"
"Old Master, it’s not us who are the culprits, it was Christopher Weaver who came to us, saying he wanted to withdraw his daughter. If someone doesn’t want their daughter to attend, we can’t force her to!"
Ben Hunter was taken aback: "Who? Christopher Weaver? The Watch King?"
