Chapter 255 Aren’t You Tired of Pretending?
CHAPTER 255: CHAPTER 255 AREN’T YOU TIRED OF PRETENDING?
"Motherfucker! Why are they chasing us so relentlessly? Who did we piss off?" Wen Yang shouted as he ran frantically.
Qu Ming turned around and knocked over the trash bin beside him, "Who knows, you’ve offended plenty of people!"
"Maybe you’re right!" Wen Yang kicked over another trash bin and looked at Qu Ming’s hand that had touched the bin, "I’m telling you, don’t touch me with that hand tonight! It reeks!"
"Ha!" Qu Ming sneered, "Don’t come home tonight! I don’t want your dirty foot that kicked a trash bin inside!"
"Don’t let them get away!"
"The boss ordered that we must catch them!"
"Fuck you all!" Wen Yang looked at the men in suits jumping over the piles of trash and pulled Qu Ming as he ran, "Are they on adrenaline or something?! They’re jumping through all that filth!"
"You think everyone’s a fake neat freak like you!" Qu Ming retorted, automatically following Wen Yang swiftly.
Wen Yang, clearing the way ahead, saw the ’Parking Lot’ sign and immediately led Qu Ming toward the underground parking.
But before they could reach the underground parking, five or six people poured in from the entrance, and men on both sides blocked the exits. Wen Yang pulled Qu Ming behind him and cursed under his breath, "Damn it, I knew it."
"We definitely pissed someone off!" Qu Ming, hearing this, kicked Wen Yang, "And you told me it was Dream Drunk’s people! You son of a bitch, tell me, did you sneak off to work as their trader again?!"
"They sought me out, and since I was itching to try, I went for it." Wen Yang knew he was in the wrong, laughed dryly, and explained awkwardly.
"Mr. Wen didn’t just work as a trader," the leader of the suited men put down the walkie-talkie, took off his sunglasses, and walked forward expressionlessly, "You practically worked as a spy trader."
Wen Yang sneered, "Bullshit!"
"I told your boss from the start, I’ll help manipulate your stock prices up. I don’t need much of your profits, just a quarter. But in the end, your boss turned around and screwed me over, didn’t even give me a fraction and outed my location to my enemies." Wen Yang pointed at them fiercely, "If I can’t have a good time, neither can you!"
Seeing Wen Yang’s stubbornness, Qu Ming knew it was bad. He quickly pulled Wen Yang back, stepped in front of him, and smiled at the men in black suits, "Hey, let’s talk this out, okay? You know that you’re not supposed to start a fight in Dream Drunk Casino, right?"
"So, we’ll just take you for a little walk. I hope you don’t force us to get physical," the suited man said indifferently, "Remember, the parking lot isn’t considered the casino’s premises."
Qu Ming forced a smile and whispered to Wen Yang, "I knew you’d mess this up. I’m going to have to use up all my smiles for the month."
"You call that a smile?" Wen Yang glanced at Qu Ming and stepped forward, whispering, "When I count to five, run."
"What about you?" Qu Ming asked.
"The old way," said Wen Yang, stepping in front of Qu Ming and addressing the suited men, "Okay, I’ll go with you, but I want to know what your boss plans to do with me. I deserve to know even if I’m going to die!"
Just as the suited man was about to speak, Wen Yang shouted, "Five! Run!"
Everyone froze, and they saw Qu Ming, who had been hiding behind Wen Yang, sprinting away, "Fuck you, Wen Yang! You skipped the count!"
"Damn it! Just run!" Wen Yang shouted as he lunged at the person in front of him.
At that moment, a blinding car light shone straight from the parking lot entrance, causing everyone to shield their eyes.
A calm and indifferent woman’s voice echoed, "I mean, wearing sunglasses and suits at night, aren’t you tired of pretending to be cool?"
