Chapter 308: I Want You to Feel Guilty
CHAPTER 308: CHAPTER 308: I WANT YOU TO FEEL GUILTY
Bian Yue woke up again and saw a foreign doctor in a white coat standing beside her, holding a syringe and looking at her calmly.
"What are you doing... stay away from me!" Bian Yue sat up in fright, curling up in the blanket, her eyes filled with vigilance as she said coldly, "If you come any closer, don’t blame me for being rude!"
The doctor was startled by Bian Yue’s agitated actions, and spoke in a language that Bian Yue could not understand, seemingly trying to calm her down.
But now Bian Yue was on edge, and she suddenly pushed the doctor, who was getting closer, and panic-strickenly got out of bed.
The doctor was caught off guard and the syringe in his hand fell to the floor, bumping into a nearby shelf and knocking everything on the shelf to the ground, creating a messy sound.
Terrified even more, Bian Yue picked up the syringe that the doctor had dropped on the floor and ran out without looking back.
The doctor fell to the ground, watching the retreating figure of Bian Yue in surprise.
He had been called to perform a physical examination on Bian Yue; the master of this castle said his wife was pregnant and needed someone to take care of her.
But now, he realized their relationship didn’t seem to be like that.
This young lady exhibited a puzzling fear.
She must have been traumatized to have become like this.
The doctor struggled to get up, intending to catch up with Bian Yue.
But Bian Yue had already run into the corridor; the corridor was narrow and long, and after just a few steps, she stopped.
In front of her, Li Sihe leaned against the wall, looking at her calmly, smiling as if in self-derision, "I thought you had hurt yourself when you fell, but it seems your body is in very good shape!"
Bian Yue clenched the syringe in her hand and kept it behind her back, pretending to be calm as she looked at Li Sihe and said coldly, "Give me my phone. I want to leave this place!"
"The snow is falling outside, do you want to freeze to death by going out like this?" Li Sihe scoffed at Bian Yue’s request, he sneered, casually saying, "Yueyue, look around, within a hundred miles, besides me, you won’t find another living person. If you run out now, freezing to death is the only outcome."
"Get a car ready for me, whether I die or not is none of your business! I want to leave now! Give me my phone!" Bian Yue became emotional, her spirit more tense and almost breaking in the face of Li Sihe’s indifference, "Li Sihe! Let me leave, or I will do anything! I’m telling you, I won’t let anyone hurt my child!"
Li Sihe looked at Bian Yue’s crumbling face, her words filled with paranoia and stubbornness, all just to protect the child of her and Shen Jinci.
Li Sihe’s smile grew even more self-mocking, "Hurt? What could you do if I really wanted to hurt you?"
Bian Yue’s eyes reddened, she said in realization, "So, you brought the doctor to hurt the child in my womb? Li Sihe! Are you still human? How can you even not spare the child!"
Li Sihe laughed bitterly in anger, "You think I brought the doctor to harm your child? Bian Yue, if I wanted you to miscarry, a single pill would be enough; there’s no need for such a big fuss!"
"Of course, it has to be a big fuss because you want my child dead, but you want me alive and well." Bian Yue stubbornly looked at Li Sihe, her eyes reddened, choking up, "So, you will find a doctor to come!"
It’s a flawless answer.
Li Sihe looked at Bian Yue, and for a moment, he felt a sense of anger that left him speechless.
"Yes, I want you to live well, but as for the child in your womb, I wish he had never existed. Everything you said is right." Li Sihe sneered. He stepped toward Bian Yue, watching her increasingly panicked face, his voice as light as a murmur, "So now, what do you think I’ll do to you if I catch you?"
"Don’t come any closer!" Bian Yue shook her head and stepped backward, "Don’t come near me! Li Sihe, don’t come near me!"
"Why should I listen to you? Just because I can’t bear to see you die? Bian Yue, sometimes being too clever is not a good thing!" Li Sihe’s voice turned icy. His pace did not stop; he continued to approach Bian Yue without hesitation.
Bian Yue’s heart sank to the bottom. She gripped the syringe in her hand tighter and finally, within an arm’s reach, without a trace of hesitation, she stabbed it towards Li Sihe.
Li Sihe had already noticed that Bian Yue was holding something behind her back. He thought she would use it for self-defense, but he didn’t expect that she would use it to stab him.
The pain in his chest was negligible, and even though there was blood, Li Sihe felt almost nothing.
He just calmly looked at Bian Yue, saw her eyes filled with tears, and witnessed her nearly collapsing face.
Bian Yue never thought she would strike accurately. Given Li Sihe’s alertness, he could have easily dodged, but he just stood there in front of her, letting her stab him.
The panic in Bian Yue’s eyes was clear. She stared at Li Sihe and asked softly, "Why didn’t you dodge?"
"Are we enemies?" Li Sihe suddenly asked something totally irrelevant.
Bian Yue looked at the syringe that fell to the ground, covered with Li Sihe’s blood, the glaring red mixing with the blood spreading from his chest, consequences unspoken.
Bian Yue clenched her fist, trying to calm herself, she said, "When you let go of me, didn’t you do it on purpose so I would hit the railing? Li Sihe, I know you don’t want me to have this child, but... even if I am your enemy, this child shouldn’t be harmed."
Li Sihe’s expression grew even colder. He watched Bian Yue, who even now refused to show any weakness, looked down and suppressed all his emotions. He repeated her words coldly, "This child shouldn’t be harmed, I know."
Bian Yue frowned, her eyes vacant.
Li Sihe sneered, "The doctor came to check up on you, you just fainted, I didn’t want any harm to come to you, Bian Yue, I never thought of hurting your child, no, I should say I have considered it, but I also thought about the consequences. If something happens to this child, it’s not something I can bear."
Bian Yue’s tense nerves relaxed, she suddenly felt powerless and slowly squatted down, somewhat dazedly saying, "The doctor came to check up on me?"
"Yes."
Bian Yue nodded, she took a deep breath and said coldly, "Then why didn’t you say that before?"
"Bian Yue, did you give me a chance to speak? You have already decided that I want to harm you."
Bian Yue looked up, her eyes reddened, her voice hoarse and heart-wrenching, "Then why do you want to explain now?"
Li Sihe calmly watched the blood on his chest, not far away, the family doctor hurried over.
Li Sihe looked away, back at Bian Yue, "Because I want you to feel guilty, guilty for misunderstanding me."
