CHAPTER 54: CHAPTER 53: ESTABLISHING A MENTAL LOCK 4

Unlike regular items which are readily delivered the minute you click them, healing cabins won’t arrive immediately.

Healing cabins needed to have a lot of checks and approval before it can finally be delivered so most of the time it would arrive the next day after you ordered it.

Thankfully he knew someone who could arrange it immediately.

As soon as he called, they made his order the priority. They immediately processed the papers of the healing cabin he ordered.

Even though his order was processed immediately, it still had to undergo a different test so even unlike regular items that’s why it still took hours before it could finally arrive at his house.

The healing cabin is really necessary for Ryzel as Layton Lewis knew his body should be aching all over.

His physique was very low so he still needed to strengthen it. Anyway at least he wasn’t sickly like when he was a child.

He only has a low physique level without having any diseases which is good. At least it shows that he still has improved over the years.

He doesn’t need to worry about him suddenly getting sick afterwards.

When he met Ryzel for the first time he was very weak. He learned from general Carl that Ryzel was often sick which at least improved with the continuous use of a healing cabin. They used it to boost his immune system and input necessary nutrients for Ryzel.

When they had an accident Ryzel was already healed so at least even though there have been attempts to take his life they were all prevented and he successfully grew up.

Layton Lewis knew that Ryzel’s inheritance was taken by his relatives but at that time he didn’t have any rights to interfere in Ryzel’s life.

So even though he knew that Ryzel would grow up in a harder way he just put bodyguards around him to protect him from danger but didn’t interfere with how he grew up.

Layton Lewis believed that hardships could help a person grow. So he just watched him grow up over the years without interfering.

At that time he didn’t have any rights to intervene in Ryzel’s life so he just watched over him. Now, he has the right to interfere in Ryzel’s life. Being Ryzel’s partner gave him the right to solve all his problems for him.

It is the duty of the sentinels to provide and care for their partner so as his partner he could get back Ryzel’s inheritance in behalf of himself.

He promised Ryzel that he could get his inheritance back in a few days so he already contacted his family lawyers and investigation team to investigate the Hanes family and prepare the things he needed for him to smoothly get the inheritance Ryzel wanted to get.

They already started acting as soon as they received his contact yesterday. He just needed to wait for them to finish before taking action.

He knew that Ryzel’s primary concern was to get his fathers main battleship and the access to his mother’s laboratory inside it.

Ryzel was obviously looking for a marriage partner that could help him get the things he wanted so of course he had to do his best.

It was one of the reasons that Ryzel married him so he intended to do his best not to disappoint Ryzel.

He already knew from the beginning that Ryzel didn’t marry out of love but he married because he was forced by his circumstances.

He wanted to get Ryzel’s heart so he knew that he first needed to solve all the things that are in Ryzel’s heart for him to have a chance to get what he wanted.

If Ryzel’s heart was still focused on something else then he needed to solve them all so that none would remain.

Layton Lewis doesn’t understand much about love but he knows the basics of things. To get someone who’s heart is already full or who’s heart is filled with holes to get a space on it he needed to empty it out or fill it up first.

Unfortunately for Layton Lewis it seems that both of these situations are applicable with Ryzel.

He knew that Ryzel’s heart was filled with worry about his inheritance and other problems so he needed to empty it out.

And because of Ryzel’s experience with his ex betrayal his heart was also filled with holes so he also needed to fill them up.

By doing all of this he was sure that he would at least achieve the first step to get what he wanted.

Solving Ryzel’s inheritance issue was one of the things he needed to do first. As for filling the void in Ryzel’s heart he still needed to observe Ryzel for a few more days to determine his course of action.

Ryzel was a very decisive and responsible person, he knew that he needed to do his duties as his guide so he didn’t even leave a room of hesitation for himself and just did what he needed to do.

He agreed to establish a mental lock with himself even though they just actually met again.

Ryzel really knew what he needed to do and as long as you showed him your goodwill he would also help as much as he can.

He knew that Ryzel agreed to establish a mental lock because of his duties as a guide and also because he wanted to thank himself.

Ryzel was probably thanking himself because he agreed to help him to get his inheritance back and because of the money he gave him.

Layton Lewis already said that he was doing those things as it is his duty to do so but it seems that Ryzel doesn’t think it is a good idea to just receive help from someone so he was repaying him by also doing his duty as a guide properly.

Layton Lewis doesn’t think it is bad at least Ryzel was trying to get along with him on his own way.

With Ryzel’s attitude it can be seen that he is doing his best as a qualified partner.

At least now, Layton Lewis could say that he was feeling extremely good because of the establishment of a mental lock.

With Ryzel by his side he experienced the quietness he hadn’t experienced many years ago. With just Ryzel’s presence he could finally experience the quietness he experienced many years ago.

He already felt good with just the silence he had with Ryzel around him. He thought it was good enough already but establishing a mental lock is on a different level.

After the establishment of the mental lock he could immediately feel his mental sea stabilizing. Even the pollution around his mental sea was slightly lessened immediately and the pollution around his mental sea also stopped grating his mental sea. His mental sea was still full of pollution but they stopped moving around.

Layton Lewis’ mental sea before the mental lock was full of storms of pollution. The original appearance of his mental sea can’t even be determined because of the amount of pollution it had.

He awakened as a sentinel very early and he was also always in the frontlines fighting the Zergs that’s why his mental sea was already full of pollution.

The Zergs always emit radiation particles that pollute the mental sea of sentinels. That’s why fighting zergs everytime causes sentinels to have an easier mania as long as they reach the threshold that they can’t handle anymore.

With the help of stabilizing potions and soothing potions the sentinels fighting in the front line at least have a lower chance to have a mania. They could have time to go back and receive guidance from guides and at least clean their mental sea for a bit.

For Layton Lewis the effect of stabilizing and soothing potions was very minimal. His mental power is very high. It is already 3S that’s why only a few stabilizing and soothing potions were effective for him. Even though they are effective it wouldn’t last long.

He could always feel his mental sea in chaos. The pollutants in his mind were so numerous that it already took up his whole mental sea. He couldn’t even remember the original appearance of his mental sea because his mental sea was already very polluted years ago.

He could always feel the raging storms in his mental sea and how the pollution grated on his mental sea. Coupled with the noise he was receiving everyday. They were all conditions to trigger a mental mania.

The doctors around him and the people who knew his condition were very amazed that he was still sane and hadn’t had a mania yet.

He knew his condition wasn’t good and was always ready to be triggered. That’s why he was always controlling his emotions and mental power.

He was also always in the frontlines even if he had a vacation and only visited the capital a few times because he knew that his condition was very dangerous.
