CHAPTER 56: CHAPTER 55: IMPRINTED QUANTUM BEAST ON EACH OTHER

His body was fine but the potions that weren’t absorbed were sticking on his body which made him feel very sticky.

He immediately went into the bathroom for a shower.

As he was showering he saw a conspicuous symbol on his upper left arm. A black and white tiger was fully printed on his whole upper arm.

The tiger on his arms should be the quantum beast of Layton Lewis.

Last night when he entered the mental sea of Layton Lewis he saw the tiger roaring with red eyes at the center of the pollution storm.

The tiger on his arm shows a majestic tiger from its stature alone. He can also clearly see its proper color unlike last night.

He saw the tiger injured in many places; he couldn’t even see its proper color because he was surrounded by pollutants.

The mental sea of Layton Lewis was really terrible. He can’t even see the original form of Layton Lewis’ mental sea.

A guide and a sentinel’s mental sea is often a picture or a place they are most fond of. It reflects the places they wanted the most. So after the sea in the person’s mind they should see a different place at the center of it.

The sea was the barrier set up by the sentinel and guide’s mental powers. Only those that are allowed can enter the very center of a person’s mental sea.

They learned at the Academy that in a sentinel’s mental sea, the pollutants would start at the mental sea until it reached the center area. Once the pollution is at the center of the area the sentinel would most likely experience symptoms of mania. And once the center was filled or suddenly triggered then the sentinel would experience mania.

This is also the reason why the federation still can’t find a way to bring back a sentinel’s sanity once they have a mania. Their mental sea would mostly be in chaos already and can’t be brought back to normal.

Until now the federation was still looking for a solution for it but unfortunately they still can’t find anything. A guide and a stabilizing potion could only help sentinel’s who are on the verge of having a mania. Once a mania starts then they can’t stop it any longer.

Sentinels’ mania have always been a concern of the federation but they still can’t find a solution about it.

Layton Lewis’ whole mental sea was already filled with pollution. The center of his mental sea is already covered by a lot of pollutants. Surprisingly he still hasn’t had a mania.

It says that once pollution reaches the center of a sentinel’s mental sea they are going to start showing symptoms of having a mania.

However, Layton Lewis hasn’t shown anything strange like those people who were on the verge of mania. Ryzel doesn’t know how long Layton Lewis’ mental sea was in that state.

His mental sea is raging filled with storms and pollutants, he can’t even see anything that can be said to be good.

He was really surprised that Layton Lewis was still sane as he is now. His mental sea is very terrible, anytime he could have a mania.

Layton Lewis should also have felt terrible. He was constantly fighting in his mental sea and using his mental power to control his situation. He should also be hearing the terrible noise that all sentinels could hear as long as they awaken.

He was truly amazed by the perseverance of Layton Lewis. He was constantly fighting everyday together with his quantum beast.

He doesn’t know how long his mental sea was in that state but it certainly didn’t just happened recently.

He was fighting with his mental power everyday and he could even do his daily task. He was can kept fighting the Z ergs in the frontlines.

Ryzel could only say that Layton Lewis was truly amazing. He fully deserved the title as the federation’s god of war.

If Ryzel didn’t enter the mental sea of Layton Lewis yesterday he wouldn’t have noticed that his state is very terrible.

Layton Lewis always remained calm in his daily life. He could properly converse and command his army without any errors. So , if you are just looking outside, Layton Lewis appeared to be fine.

A lot of people still guessed that he should have been suffering from pollution as he stayed in the frontlines for many years without a guide. They guessed right but they didn’t guess the severity of it.

Well he hadn’t seen it himself he wouldn’t have known that a sentinel was still alive even though his mental sea already shows that he should have had a mania long ago but he was still fighting it himself.

If he said that to other people they would surely not believe him. Who could believe that a person that should have been dead or in coma was still surviving through sheer perseverance.

Layton Lewis was fighting to control the pollutants not to affect his mind using his mental power while his quantum beast was trying to fight the pollutants in his mental sea.

The mental sea of a guide and a sentinel is also the home of their quantum beast so Layton Lewis’ quantum beast was always fighting the pollutants in his mental sea.

Last night he saw the severe state of Layton Lewis’ mental state and how badly wounded his quantum beast is. With how badly wounded they are, they are still fighting until now without even showing it to others which is really amazing.

Layton Lewis hasn’t shown his quantum beast for many years already. A lot of people who were always paying attention to Layton Lewis noticed that he wasn’t showing his quantum beast for years already.

A quantum beast can fight side by side with their sentinels in space. Their fighting powers are very strong and they fight with their sentinels against the Zergs.

They are very strong and they can fight in space without additional support so sometimes the quantum beasts are even stronger than their sentinels.

Some people were asking why Layton Lewis’ quantum beast wasn’t appearing in the battlefield even though his quantum beast is a strong force in the battlefield.

A lot of people defended Layton Lewis saying that he wasn’t letting his quantum beast out because he doesn’t need it. Even if he doesn’t let his quantum beast out he could still lead his army to victory.

The military also didn’t clarify anything so afterwards those that are asking about it quieted down.

Now, Ryzel finally knows the reason why Layton Lewis wasn’t letting his quantum beast out. His quantum beast was constantly fighting the pollutants in his mental sea.

Once Layton Lewis quantum beast goes out, the pollutants would really corrode all of his mental sea. After the pollutants cover all of his mental sea he would really have a mania.

Even if he perseveres once his quantum beast stops fighting he would have mania because his mental sea would be totally covered by pollution.

This morning, after establishing a mental lock he doesn’t have a chance to check the mental sea of Layton Lewis because he has already passed out.

Now that he still has a lot of energy he should check the mental sea of Layton Lewis. As his guide he can’t just leave the mental sea of Layton Lewis in such a precarious situation.

So as soon as he left the bathroom he immediately talked to Layton Lewis.

"Layton, I would like to check your mental sea again, is that okay?"

"Yes of course, but we should eat first. You haven’t eaten anything for a whole day. I already prepared our meal," Layton said after putting his light brain down.

"Ok, then, let’s eat first," Ryzel agreed.

"Then, let’s go. I left our food in the heater so we could eat immediately," Layton said while waiting for Ryzel.

"Ok, let’s go down," Ryzel said after combing his hair.

While eating he noticed that in Layton Lewis’ left wrist there was a symbol on it.

"Layton, can I see the symbol on your hands," Ryzel asked as he was really curious what his quantum beast looked like in Layton Lewis’ hand.

"Here," Layton said while putting his hands in front of Ryzel.

Ryzel saw that in the left wrist of Layton Lewis a white cat was napping lazily. Unlike the quantum beast of Layton Lewis which was depicted as an imposing tiger. His quantum beast doesn’t have any imposing manner. It was depicted as a cute sleeping cat.

"It’s unfair, why is your quantum beast depicted with an imposing manner but my quantum beast was just shown sleepy?" Ryzel asked with a little bit of jealousy.

"I can’t do anything about that, as we don’t really know what the criteria of showing the symbol is. Don’t worry even if your quantum beast isn’t imposing, at least it is very cute," Layton Lewis said with a smile.
