CHAPTER 67: CHAPTER 66: MEETING HIS COUSIN AND HIS EX

He also has a lot of high level guides as classmates, seniors, and teachers.

However, he observed that their production of potion isn’t as efficient as his. and their speed is also less than him.

When there were no people he was making potions at a faster pace. That’s why he has a lot of reserved potions because he was doing his potions faster and the rate of failure is almost zero.

So he still has a lot of materials allotted to him by the school and he was using them to make more potions. Sometimes he was even making other potions after collecting other materials from making different potions.

He finally knew the reason why, it was because his mental power level was actually higher than the others.

"Dr. Fin, please send me a copy of Ryzel’s result. I need to send it together with my mental sea inspection report," Layton Lewis said to Dr. Fin who was still looking at Ryzel’s result.

"Yes, of course, the result needed to be shown to the others. You should be allowed to increase the security around Ryzel. His information protection should also be raised to the highest level," Dr. Fin said while sending the data to Layton Lewis.

"I will take care of it, I’m sure there will be no opposition regarding those matters. They surely don’t want to repeat what happened 30 years ago," Layton Lewis said.

"30 years ago, a 35 year old guide increased his mental power and reached 2S.

However, his partner was in some opposition with other federation officials causing the delay of the approval of additional security and his information was also leaked.

His sentinel wasn’t strong enough to protect the guide from several pirates who were planning to abduct the guide. The sentinel died protecting his guide and the guide committed suicide as soon as he saw his sentinel die.

Just because of different views a capable guide died which caused a lot of controversy 30 years ago.

The guide association protested to the federation as to why their actions have been too slow.

They also argued that such a common sense should have passed but they spent a lot of days delaying it causing them to lose a rare 2S level guide."

"It caused a lot of controversy 30 years ago? But why haven’t I heard of it?"

"It’s normal that you haven’t heard of it because they already removed most of the news about it from the internet. They also forbid the decimation of it especially in school to prevent panic because it is just a recent event."

"Oh, I see. So that’s why I haven’t heard any of it."

Most of the guide teachers at the academy always tell their students about different stories and histories about guides for them not to forget their roots and become arrogant because of their treatment and for them not to be comfortable in the cage built for them.

The guides in the academy always use history as one of their basis but if it is as near as 30 years ago it is indeed inevitable for them not to use it as an example as it will only cause unrest.

The guide teachers just don’t want them to forget their roots so they have been using history to teach them but they never wanted to cause social unrest so they also limit what they are going to add in their lessons.

"So are we done with our business here or do you still need to go somewhere else?" Ryzel asked.

"No need, we can go now. I already handed in the things I needed to give," Layton Lewis said.

It should be the envelope he passed to one of the soldiers who was at the gate they passed by when they came into the headquarters.

"Okay , then. Let’s go home. I haven’t been able to finish decorating the house so at least I want to finish it now."

"You don’t want to roam around first? It is rare to come here again?" Layton Lewis said.

"No need, we can just roam around here the next time we come here," Ryzel said.

He knew that they wouldn’t be visiting the military headquarters very often because Layton’s Legion had their assigned space for their activities in the capital star. All the legions have their own area in the Capital star. So coming to the military headquarters was rare.

However Ryzel doesn’t want to travel or walk around the military headquarters now because he knew it would be tiring.

He already went to a lot of different places in just a few days. He already beat his past records for a year within just a few days.

As they were walking to the place where they parked their car Ryzel heard a voice he didn’t expect to be in the military headquarters.

"Cousin? Is that you?"

Ryzel heard the call from the back but he didn’t really want to turn around. In fact he wanted to leave immediately. However, the others already recognized him and refused to let him go.

"Cousin it is really you, the family is looking forward to seeing you. We have been waiting for you to visit. As soon as you married the general you haven’t even gone home."

Ryzel doesn’t want to bother but what he said was really irritating so Ryzel stopped and faced the cousin who was currently talking to him.

"Hello, Sean, long time no see, you still haven’t changed your ways until now. In the past I just let you go because it’s a waste of my time to even bother with you.

Actually I still think it is the same, dealing with you is just a waste of time. However, you indeed spent a lot of effort for me to even look at you.

How can you be so shameless? You still have the guts to appear in front of me with everything you have done.

You’re not that naive to believe that I don’t even know what you’ve been doing, right?

And can you stop being fake? You should also arrange your words properly. It’s been years but it seems that your language didn’t even improve from childhood until now.

It seems that Sean hadn’t expected him to say anything as he was already red from embarrassment.

There are a lot of soldiers at the sides, so Sean must have wanted to mislead them again which he has been doing since they were young. He wasn’t saying things properly for him to look bad for others.

Every time Sean did such a thing in the past Ryzel just ignored it as he really thought it was a waste of time.

He always just ignored Sean, which is why a lot of people knew that he didn’t like Sean even though Sean has always been nice to him. He heard about the rumors but he didn’t bother to care about it.

Now that Sean has done something worse he shouldn’t be expecting him to still remain silent.

Does he think he isn’t human and instead a merciful god or something. With what he has done he should be expecting to be treated badly.

Sean seemed really shocked that he was criticized in front of people. Well he was always good at pretending so he was always known for being kind so he shouldn’t have experienced being criticized upfront.

"Hey, you started talking to me first, why don’t you continue? Don’t tell me you’re going to stay silent and start crying to escape from what you started.

You know waterworks won’t work on me, right? Don’t tell me you wanted to lure others by being pitiful again, right?
