CHAPTER 107: 106: MEMORY CHAPTER (7)

Florence Fuller was slightly stunned.

"You are the biological daughter of the Fuller Family, which is considered an elite family in Cloudsea City, and you are their only legitimate daughter. Without any surprises, all of this will be yours in the future."

Florence Fuller frowned slightly, "Does that mean I’ll have to manage the inheritance? But it’s not that simple."

"So you can sense it too, can’t you!" Abigail Monrose looked at her, "Your current situation isn’t good, but the Fuller Family can indeed create conditions for you. Florence, you shouldn’t be thinking about whether or not to go. Since they’ve kept you, as their daughter, you should rightfully accept that the future of the Fuller Family is yours."

Florence Fuller was washing her hands under the faucet, looking thoughtful.

"Mom." A gentle voice came in from outside. Florence Fuller heard something and didn’t turn around; she turned off the faucet.

"Oh, you’ve come down." Abigail Monrose wiped her hands, "So? What did the doctor say?"

Ethan Harper wheeled himself in, nodded, "Pretty good, I can move to the second phase."

Upon hearing this, a smile appeared on Abigail Monrose’s face, "That’s good news, then."

Ethan Harper smiled slightly.

Abigail Monrose said, "It’s good that you’re here, and Florence is here too. I have something to tell you."

Florence Fuller looked at Abigail Monrose, then turned to Ethan Harper, but quickly averted her gaze.

"From now on, Florence’s tutoring will be your responsibility."

Ethan Harper was slightly taken aback, "Me?"

"You often stay at home with nothing to do, so you can help Florence. She’s just returned and her family is putting a lot of pressure on her," Abigail Monrose explained.

Florence Fuller felt a bit embarrassed. She thought for a moment and still said, "It’s okay, Aunt Monrose... I’ll find a tutor on my own."

On her first visit, she saw Ethan Harper tutoring another girl, and she was worried he couldn’t manage another one.

That would just be a bother.

Abigail Monrose laughed, "It’s fine, Florence. My son is bored at home, too. You coming here often will give him something to do."

Ethan Harper shook his head helplessly, "Alright."

Ethan Harper agreed, but Florence Fuller’s heart suddenly skipped a beat.

It felt a bit strange.

From that day on, Florence Fuller’s life was no longer just about school and the Fuller Family.

There was also the Monrose Family.

From Monday to Friday after school, she spent about an hour and a half at the Monrose home, and she was there all day on Saturday and Sunday.

But so far, she felt she hadn’t made much progress.

Because she often got distracted.

From the first time Ethan Harper tutored her, they should have been in her study. He sat in his wheelchair, guiding Florence Fuller.

They weren’t close, but Florence Fuller just couldn’t bring herself to look at him.

His gentle and patient voice was in her ears, and as she listened, her thoughts wandered.

"Focus." Her arm was lightly patted, and Florence Fuller snapped back to meet his eyes, her face instantly turning red.

She quickly lowered her head.

Feeling a bit embarrassed.

Ethan Harper smiled, "Did I explain clearly just now?"

Florence Fuller nodded with her head down.

Ethan Harper laughed, "Then which question was I just explaining?"

Florence Fuller’s head hung even lower, "Sorry."

She didn’t know why she got distracted while listening.

"It’s okay." Ethan Harper thought she was nervous and softly said, "I won’t get mad, don’t be afraid."

Florence Fuller nodded.

Repeatedly, over time, the two of them became somewhat more familiar with each other.

Even though they were familiar, Florence Fuller still sensed that Ethan Harper’s seemingly gentle and kind demeanor actually carried a faint sense of aloofness.

Ethan Harper had rehabilitation sessions three to four days a week, but they didn’t conflict with Florence Fuller’s tutoring time. Over the course of a month, they only got to know each other slightly, with no real familiarity.

Florence Fuller could sense Ethan Harper’s sense of distance, and she wisely didn’t disturb him too much, thanking him after each lesson before leaving.

She was already grateful that this handsome guy was willing to help her with tutoring so kindly and patiently.

By the end of the first semester, her grades had noticeably improved, but Michael Fuller was still not satisfied.

He wanted Florence Fuller to be excellent in everything, and such small progress didn’t satisfy him. Furthermore, he didn’t have much time to oversee Florence Fuller at the moment.

He still had to arrange a future for his son outside.

Abigail Monrose was very happy to know about her progress, "Earlier you said you didn’t want to continue tutoring, and I thought Ethan wasn’t teaching well. But seeing your progress, Ethan must have been pretty good, right?"

Ethan Harper slightly raised his eyes, "You don’t want to continue tutoring?"

Abigail Monrose nodded, "Yes, after letting you tutor Florence for less than a week, this girl said she wanted to find another tutor. I was wondering if you’d said something to her."

Florence Fuller was embarrassed.

In the first week of tutoring, she frequently got distracted, and Ethan Harper noticed the problem and suggested that she take a couple of days off.

She had told Aunt Monrose that she wanted to change tutors, but at the time, she said she felt she wasn’t learning well and was afraid of making Ethan Harper angry.

Abigail Monrose said Ethan Harper had a good temper and suggested she try for a while longer. If it really didn’t work, she could come back and discuss it again.

Florence Fuller gave up her initial idea.

Fortunately, the effort paid off.

Abigail Monrose’s phone rang, and she went to take the call, leaving her and Ethan Harper alone in the living room.

"Actually, you could do even better." Suddenly, Ethan Harper’s voice sounded.

Florence Fuller looked at him, puzzled.

"Am I wrong?" Ethan Harper looked at her, "Are you holding back?"

Florence Fuller averted her gaze and said nothing.

Ethan Harper didn’t ask further, he said softly, "But it’s also pretty good."

Florence Fuller looked at him again, feeling a bit unclear about his meaning.

The soft meowing of a cat came, and a pure white cat appeared out of nowhere, jumping over Florence Fuller’s lap from a very close distance. Seeing it, she reached out her hand.

"Wait..." Before Ethan Harper could finish his sentence, Florence Fuller’s hand, reaching out in mid-air, saw the once-cute cat suddenly hiss at her with a vicious expression.

Her hand quickly pulled back, and she looked at Ethan Harper with a face full of lingering fear.

The cat turned and jumped into Ethan Harper’s lap, nestling in his arms as if seeking affection.

"Whiteball is a cat I found." Ethan Harper explained, "It was probably abused before and has trauma, so it doesn’t let others touch it. You should also be careful, as it can really scratch and bite."

Florence Fuller nodded repeatedly, "Good to know."

During the summer vacation, Laura Yates took Clara Fuller abroad for a holiday, and Michael Fuller rarely returned to the villa. As a result, Florence Fuller spent even more time at the Monrose home.

Abigail Monrose hired a top-notch violin teacher for her, which both surprised and delighted Florence Fuller. She practiced diligently throughout the summer and the teacher thought she had great potential, recommending a foreign music university for her.

If she was accepted, she could become the teacher’s apprentice.

She could also join a world-class orchestra for tours in the future.

This had once been Florence Fuller’s dream.

She never would have thought, coming back to the Fuller Family would make it possible!

She was ecstatic.
