After Divorcing the Tycoon, I Married into a Wealthy Family Again
Chapter 202: No matter how ugly it gets, it’s still acceptable
CHAPTER 202: CHAPTER 202: NO MATTER HOW UGLY IT GETS, IT’S STILL ACCEPTABLE
"Did I ask about this?" Florence looked at his face, already showing some bruises and discoloration, presumably from the bodyguards who tried to bring him here.
"What else could it be?" Jason sneered, "You’re the one who arranged this place for me. Wherever I go, whatever I do, you always know."
"It was your own request for me to arrange a place for you," Florence looked at him, "You willingly walked into this, saving me the trouble of catching you."
Jason’s expression darkened, "What are you trying to do?"
"I told you before, if you ever dare to deceive me, you’re dead." Florence’s eyes turned ruthless, "You haven’t forgotten the truths and lies you confessed to me, right?"
"I didn’t lie to you."
"In fact, I never believed you from the start, but I wanted to give you a chance. Aunt Monrose’s death is tied to your mother, isn’t it?"
"It’s been such a roundabout way, and it’s all for this!" Jason shouted in anger.
"What else?" Florence replied, "You said she committed suicide, but I don’t believe it."
"She did commit suicide!" Jason insisted firmly, "She took so many pills, there was no saving her."
"Then why does someone say the pills, including the deadly ones, were given by your mother?"
Jason’s pupils trembled, "How could you know this? Did Ethan tell you? This was a secret within the Harper Family, it’s impossible for it to be leaked."
Being spread like this makes it sound like the mistress killed the first wife.
He had once confidently admitted to Florence that Abigail had committed suicide due to the pressure from the Harper Family, now he was shocked.
"He didn’t tell me, I found out myself," Florence responded coldly, "The medicine was delivered by your mom, but the fatal pills were given by you!"
"What do you want? Let me tell you, I have people in Italy, you know the Mafia, you... ah!" Before he could finish speaking, Florence fiercely kicked him with her high-heeled foot.
Jason fell to the ground, his cheekbone aching from the kick of Florence’s high heel. He glared at her menacingly, "Careful... I’ll make sure you die miserably."
"And those filthy deals you did with that billion," Florence stepped on his face with the tip of her shoe, "I offer double, guess if they’ll take it."
"You’re stalking and monitoring me," Jason growled angrily.
"After murdering people and committing all those evil deeds, how can you live so comfortably?"
Jason sneered coldly, "The Harper Family is like that, survival of the fittest, if Ethan can’t manage, he shouldn’t hold the position."
"Incapable?" Florence pressed her foot down harder, "He returned for three years, but you fell to ruins, running away like a coward."
Jason approached Florence, never expecting this woman to pose any threat to him, but she turned out to be terrifyingly cunning.
He was the one who willingly jumped in.
"Let me tell you, if you kill me, you’ll be carrying a murder charge, worth it? Ah!"
"Of course not worth it." Florence look him in the eye, "Back when Ethan’s leg was injured, all of you had a hand in it. I don’t know exactly who yet, but you’re first on my list."
"What do you intend to do!" Jason shouted angrily.
"You’re right, I can’t have your life on my conscience." Florence signaled to the group of people, "The Mafia you’ve been dealing with will escort you back to the Harper Family in France. If I ever hear about you again, I’d hope you’d have committed suicide."
Florence smiled, turned, and walked away, accompanied by Jason’s cries of distress.
When Florence walked out of the manor, Lily was still waiting in the car, but she had received several calls and was worried, "Boss, the situation online... Mr. Gardiner already knows it was us."
Florence was rather calm, "What’s he going to do about it?"
"Oliver said Mr. Gardiner came straight to the company, demanding to see you."
"Then let’s go back." Florence glanced disapprovingly at her high heels, "No need to drive too fast."
"Okay."
They arrived at NQ after about an hour.
When Florence reached the floor, she immediately felt an oppressive atmosphere upon exiting the elevator.
Oliver approached her worriedly, "Chairman Fuller."
"Where is he?"
"In your office, waiting. He was already furious when he arrived, and has been waiting ever since, pressuring me for calls."
So he called Lily.
"Boss, maybe we should go in with you." Lily worried about the possibility of a fight.
"No need." Florence refused, "I’ll go."
Lily and Oliver exchanged glances, still uneasy, deciding to stay by the door.
Florence pushed the door to the office, where a tense figure stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, visibly radiating anger.
Luke turned to her, full of cold rage, but she simply glanced at him before heading into the lounge.
He was about to follow when she emerged, holding a pair of high heels.
Then she leisurely sat on the sofa, replaced her worn high heels with the ones she was holding, and threw the worn pair into the trash.
Irate, Luke questioned, "Why throw them away?"
Florence looked at him, "They’re dirty, so I don’t want them."
Luke seemed provoked by her words, taking several steps towards her, "Florence, why did you do this?"
Florence feigned ignorance, "What?"
"Don’t pretend you don’t know," Luke couldn’t express his current mood.
Upon discovering that Florence was behind the scandalous news about him, his first reaction wasn’t anger, but overwhelming sadness.
She was really preparing to do anything to get the divorce.
Florence remained indifferent, "What did I do?"
"Do you not know the chaos going on online?" Luke was both angry and heartbroken, "Is this what you do for a divorce?"
Florence’s expression turned cold, "So, you also know I want a divorce."
Luke looked at her, "Don’t forget your affair with that Harper."
"Why don’t you expose him too?", Florence responded indifferently, "As long as I can get the divorce, it can be as scandalous as it needs to be."
"But that’s all fake," Luke said, sincerely and unfairly, "I’ve never spoken a word to that actress, since realizing my feelings for you, I’ve not been with any other woman!"
"But the prior incidents were real," Florence’s casual remark brought him back down to earth.
"Luke," Florence looked at him confidently, "I have told you before that I’m no good person. I will use any means necessary to achieve my goals, as long as they’re harmless to unrelated people."
