After Rebirth, I Married the Great Demon King
Chapter 253: Let Her Beg Him
h4Chapter 253: Chapter 253: Let Her Beg Him/h4
Qin Yumo thought she looked even better than she had the other day. Her face, unadorned, still carried a vibrant charm, especially those eyes—they were spirited and alive.
He liked her deer-like eyes the most, something he had never seen in any other woman.
Yun Shifei knew that people like him only became more persistent the more attention they received.
So, she reached out, pped Qin Yumo’s hand away, and quickly walked ahead.
Her roommates noticed something was wrong. Yun Shifei clearly disliked this man, so when he tried to follow her, they stepped in front to block him.
"What do you think you’re doing? Believe it or not, we’ll call the police!"
Seeing three girls standing firmly before him, Qin Yumo chuckled. Her ssmates were really protective of her.
"Call the police for what? I’m her boyfriend."
Boyfriend? But they had never heard Yun Shifei mention dating anyone, and she had denied it before.
Besides, looking at the way Yun Shifei treated him earlier—keeping him at arm’s length—it was clear this wasn’t true.
Yu Liantao spoke coldly, "Whoever you are, she doesn’t like you, so you’d better stay away from her."
Blocked by them and surrounded by people passing by, Qin Yumo found the situation losing its appeal. It wouldn’t be wise to stoop to the level of a few college students.
Fine, next time then.
As he got into his car, his gaze pierced through the crowd, catching sight of Yun Shifei standing under a tree in the distance, clutching a book. She stood there quietly, graceful and serene. The breeze brushed through her hair so gently that Qin Yumo couldn’t help wondering how it would feel to touch her hair.
A feeling surged within him stronger than ever before—a desire so intense it consumed him. He wanted to possess herpletely.
Heughed to himself. A woman he set his sights on had never escaped him.
He started the car and drove away.
"Shi Fei, who was that guy?" Yun Shifei’s roommate asked her. "He said he was your boyfriend."
"No!" Yun Shifei denied immediately. "I ran into him the other day when I was ying piano. I don’t know him."
She recounted what had happened to Yu Liantao and the others.
After hearing her story, they gasped. "That guy is seriously insane!"
Fu Qingqing, who was from Beijing, suddenly remembered something. "The Qin Family—aren’t they pretty powerful? I think I’ve heard of Qin Yumo. He’s just a spoiled rich kid. Shi Fei, you need to be careful."
Yun Shifei nodded. She would be very, very careful.
Yet, Yun Shifei didn’t expect that ignoring Qin Yumo would only make him more persistent, far beyond what she imagined.
He began showing up at the school every day, bringing her gifts.
Sometimes it was fiery red roses, sometimes it was intricate jewelry.
Even when Yun Shifei threw his gifts into the trash can right in front of him, he merelyughed gleefully beside her. "Go ahead and throw them out. I’ll just keep sending more."
It was as if even tossing his things was a form of acknowledgment to him.
What a lunatic!
Yun Shifei didn’t even nce at him and walked away.
Qin Yumo chuckled to himself. He had already done his research on her—a student from South City. There weren’t many people surnamed Yun from South City, and he actually knew a few of them. Apparently, their families had some business ties.
Hmm...
If he created a crisis for her family, she would cry and beg him for help, wouldn’t she?
After all, a delicate girl like her couldn’t possibly endure hardship.
When she came to him pleading, he would make her do whatever he wanted, and for the sake of her family, she’d have no choice but to agree.
The more Qin Yumo thought about this, the more excited he became, and he couldn’t help butugh out loud.
He dialed his father’s number. "Dad, do you happen to have business dealings with the Yun Family in South City?"
"What now? What mischief are you up to this time?" came Qin Guangtao’s voice on the other end of the line. Hearing it, one could immediately sense suspicion, unable to fathom how Qin Yumo might have crossed paths with the Yun Family in distant South City.
"Dad, what kind of impression do you even have of your son? I just think it’s unnecessary for us to keep coborating with them."
"Ha, are you nning to get involved in thepany’s affairs now?"
Qin Guangtao’s mocking tone was unmistakable, and of course, Qin Yumo caught the disdain in his father’s voice.
As the eldest son of the family, with only a younger sister below him, Qin Guangtao had once hoped Qin Yumo would take over the family business. But Qin Yumo had repeatedly refused. Now, however...
"That’s right, Dad. I’ll seriously start learning to manage thepany, but my condition is that you stop working with the Yun Family."
"Do you have a grudge against them?"
"A little, yes. Is that alright? If you agree, I’ll go to work at thepany tomorrow."
Qin Guangtao frowned and thought hard about it. Years ago, he had partnered with Yun Tiancheng, who had even traveled to Beijing to discuss their coboration. He had a favorable impression of Yun Tiancheng, believing him to be a practical businessman. Their partnership over the years had been smooth, with Yun Tiancheng relying on the Qin Group for most of his product distribution in the northern market.
Ending the partnership so abruptly would undoubtedly incur significant losses. The Qin Group wasn’t enormous, but neither was it small; losses were inevitable.
However, this concerned his potential sessor. Even if it felt like cutting off a piece of flesh, Qin Guangtao didn’t mind. After all, his life’s hope rested on Qin Yumo making something of himself.
If he could truly take over the family business, earning less money wouldn’t be a big deal.
So, Qin Guangtao discussed this with his assistant and instructed him to send a termination letter to Yun Tiancheng.
When Yun Tiancheng received the letter from the Qin Group, he was stunned and immediately called to inquire. He couldn’t understand why their coboration, which had been going so well, was suddenly being cut off.
"You’ve offended the young master; there’s nothing we can do," was the only cryptic answer he got.
Yun Tiancheng frowned in confusion. The young master of the Qin Family? He didn’t even know who that was, so how could he have offended him?
Yet, the other party seemedpletely uninterested in conversing further and hurriedly hung up.
Although Yun Tiancheng felt it was a pity to lose such a reliable distributor, it wasn’t impossible to find alternatives.
The northern market was mostly dominated by a few major families. Yun Tiancheng called them one by one, but to his astonishment, none were viable options.
Initially enthusiastic about his proposal, the other parties instantly changed their attitudes upon hearing his name, firmly rejecting him.
What was going on? Yun Tiancheng couldn’t understand how he had managed to offend all these people.
What he didn’t know was that Qin Yumo had already contacted those families, ensuring that all avenues for the Yun Family’s northern market expansion were blocked.
The southern region might still be Yun Tiancheng’s domain, but Qin Yumo couldn’t extend his influence there. Nevertheless, being cut off from half their market must be a major blow to the Yun Family.
Though he wasn’t overly familiar with corporate matters, Qin Yumo understood enough to know that a sudden loss of such a significant segment would leave the Yun Family severely weakened. It remained to be seen whether Yun Tiancheng could withstand the pressure.
If the Yun Family couldn’t hold out, Yun Shifei would undoubtedlye begging him for help.
He had heard that the father and daughter were very close. For her father’s sake, she would surely plead with him.
