Mrs. Shen sighed, "What else can we do? Right now Chun’er is unreliable, and Xique just cares about herself. To establish ourselves in the city, we need a good match for Chun’er. The Li Family has influence and connections, finding a good match for Chun’er would be easy, so for now, we have to bow our heads. When times are better, we won’t need to lower ourselves."

The Shen Family couple was also trying to appease Shen Bin, but the Li Family gave them no face, blocking their entry to the compound. Even when they got in, they lied about the child being at the hospital, not even allowing a glimpse of him.
