Despite being her first time in a hotel, Jiang Huaiyu controlled herself not to look around like a clueless country bumpkin.

Jiang Mengyu was bought by Madam Jiang Li Chunhua from her biological father Lin Hai.

Lin Hai favored sons over daughters, so once she was born, while her birth mother Leng Xiangyu was still unconscious, he swapped her with a son he had with a widow outside and then sold Jiang Mengyu to Li Chunhua.

The Jiang Family treated Jiang Mengyu essentially as a servant, often left her hungry, and didn’t allow her to attend school before the age of ten.
