Seeing the emoji response, Yu Li chuckled and put away her phone as she entered the kitchen. Hearing her footsteps, the man inside turned around and asked gently, "Hungry? Or is your stomach hurting again? Did you drink the warm water I left on the table?"

Yu Li nodded, "I did."

Bo Jingmo wanted to touch her but remembered his hands were still cold from washing them. Instead, he lowered his head to nuzzle her cheek. "Any plans for this afternoon? Want to go out?"

Yu Li thought for a moment, "Not really."

No sooner had she spoken than her phone vibrated twice in her pocket. She frowned when she saw the caller ID—Xin Hao? Didn't they just hang up?

Yu Li glanced at Bo Jingmo. After exchanging looks, she answered on speakerphone. Xin Hao's boisterous voice immediately filled the room:

"Yu Li! We're landing in half an hour. Didn't you just wake up? Let's grab Bo Jingmo and get lunch—I'll book a restaurant!"

Yu Li and Bo Jingmo: "......"

She frowned, "Didn't you just say we'd schedule a time?"

Xin Hao sounded utterly unbothered, "Yeah, and didn't you say anytime works? So we're coming now. What? You busy?"

At the airport, Xin Hao looked at the disconnected call and grinned. "Heh! Serves you right for always sassing me!"

Qi Cheng’an silently averted his gaze, "You're so immature." He'd booked these tickets long ago but deliberately didn't mention it during the earlier call.

Xin Hao clicked his tongue, "It's her fault for being ungrateful. I'm only going because I was worried something actually happened to her."

Qi Cheng’an asked, "Did you tell Yu Jiao?"

"No way. But she's probably too busy to care about us right now anyway." Xin Hao rubbed his chin, "I heard that person returned to the country. Isn't she busy preparing to welcome them?"

Standing nearby, Zhang Can asked curiously, "Who?" He knew Yu Jiao was Deva's leader—who could possibly warrant her personal reception?

Xin Hao glanced at him and said slowly, "Who else? Deva's founder, of course."

Standing behind Qi Cheng’an and Xin Hao, Zhang Can peered through the gap between them. His eyes widened when he saw the woman's face—identical to the one from the instance. Holy shit, it's really her! But then his expression shifted again.

Wait... something's wrong. Why does Yu Li have the instance system's aura? Isn't she supposed to be an NPC??

Yu Li gestured for them to sit upon their arrival. But Zhang Can wasn't the only one who noticed the anomaly—the moment Xin Hao stepped into the booth, his demeanor changed instantly. He remained rooted in place, scrutinizing Yu Li warily.

"Why do you... have the system's aura on you?"

Yu Li waved a hand casually, tilting her head with a smile. "As you can see, I'm a player now too."

Xin Hao and Qi Cheng’an exchanged glances before slowly taking their seats. "You signed the contract last night?"
