After Transmigrating into a Novel with My Boyfriend, He Turned Out to Be a Native Villain
Chapter 318: Watching a Movie
CHAPTER 318: WATCHING A MOVIE
Although Bo Jingmo had regained his memories now, his body was ultimately not his original one, so he wasn't sure if it would affect his cooking skills.
Seeing Yu Li take a bite, he tightened his grip on the chopsticks: "How...how does it taste?"
Noticing the man's slightly nervous expression, Yu Li let out a surprised laugh and raised an eyebrow: "Of course it's delicious when Director Bo cooks."
Receiving her approval, Bo Jingmo's eyes curved into a smile as he suddenly asked softly: "Want to watch a movie after dinner? You can choose, okay?"
This had been their old habit - after dinner, with nothing else to do, they would curl up together on the sofa watching movies, though sometimes they wouldn't finish, getting distracted by other activities.
Hearing Bo Jingmo suddenly suggest this, Yu Li was momentarily stunned before responding with a smile.
"Sure."
After dinner, Yu Li informed Mu Chengsi she'd be returning tomorrow noon, then opened her phone to check what good movies were recently released.
Footsteps sounded nearby as the sofa cushion beside her dipped. Before she could look up, she was pulled into a warm embrace, a strong arm lightly encircling her waist.
Warm breath brushed against her ear as a voice like an electric current seeped into her bones, sending tingling shivers: "Baby, have you picked one?"
Yu Li rubbed her ear and showed Bo Jingmo her phone screen.
"I don't know what's good, maybe we should pick something with high ratings?"
The man chuckled lowly: "Okay."
Night had fallen, with torrential rain pounding outside. Howling winds carried rumbles of thunder as thick curtains blocked the intermittent flashes of lightning.
The living room was warm, ambient lights casting faint halos in the dim space where only the sounds from the large screen could be heard.
Nestled in Bo Jingmo's arms with a thin blanket draped over her, Yu Li appeared focused on the movie though only she knew how much she was actually watching.
A gentle weight suddenly pressed on her shoulder as Bo Jingmo lowered his head to rest against it.
He turned to kiss the tip of her ear before murmuring softly: "What were you thinking about earlier in the kitchen, darling?"
Yu Li stared at the screen and answered slowly: "Thinking...how scenes like that feel like they happened in another lifetime. It's a strange feeling."
Whether cooking dinner together or watching movies like this, everything felt like distant memories to Yu Li.
Though she hadn't been in this world long, the numerous experiences in the dungeons occupied so much of her recollections that they inevitably affected her perception.
Hearing this, Bo Jingmo's eyelashes fluttered as he tightened his embrace, slowly kissing her cheeks.
"Actually, I've been afraid you might forget."
Yu Li paused mid-movement and turned her head in confusion: "Forget?"
"Mmm." Bo Jingmo's voice was feather-light with a barely detectable tremor, his gentle eyes carrying complex emotions. "My memories just returned, Lili. For me, it feels like just yesterday I picked you up from work, or we were discussing marriage the day before. But you might have already started forgetting these things."
Bo Jingmo wanted to return to their old life, but Yu Li had lived in this world for so long - going back wasn't that simple.
Yu Li tilted her head, cupping Bo Jingmo's face before nuzzling his nose: "No, Bo Jingmo, I haven't forgotten."
Her eyes curved like a fox's, sparkling with light: "We lived together for so many years - how could I possibly forget that easily?"
Bo Jingmo gently stroked her eyes before kissing them tenderly: "I know. I just...can't help minding."
Minding how this world's trivialities had replaced their original life together.
In the dim living room with the sounds of rain and movie soundtrack, all noise seemed to fade away at once.
Yu Li wrapped her arms around his neck, straddling his lap as she blinked and whispered: "It's okay, we'll just slowly find our way back."
Back to their old habits, back to their cohabiting rhythm.
Instead of answering, Bo Jingmo tilted his head up to capture her lips, gradually deepening the kiss until their tongues tangled.
After several passionate kisses, he reluctantly pulled away, leaning close with smiling eyes: "Darling, let's watch the movie tomorrow, okay?"
Despite his words, his hand had already found the remote to pause it before securely lifting her up. Turning his head for another kiss, he murmured: "Hold on tight, baby."
Wrapped around him, Yu Li's fox-like eyes narrowed slightly, glistening with moisture.
As they ascended the stairs, she studied his profile before suddenly leaning close to whisper: "Director Bo, I just remembered something else."
"Hmm?" Bo Jingmo turned with slight confusion.
The woman tilted her head, her upturned eyes gleaming as she deliberately drawled: "Do you still remember all those...positions we used to try, hubby?"
Bo Jingmo's steps halted instantly, his Adam's apple bobbing as his gaze darkened like bottomless whirlpools.
After a beat, he chuckled meaningfully, tightening his hold as he opened the bedroom door with one hand.
"Of course I remember."
......
The previous night's storm had passed, leaving the ground damp with water droplets clinging to new buds, the air fresh with nature's scent.
The newly added class was a public lecture where playing with phones went largely unnoticed by lenient professors.
Seated at her desk, Yu Li propped her chin as she checked messages - Bo Jingmo had texted that he'd arrived at work.
After sending a sticker back, she set her phone down and rubbed her still-sore waist. Though Bo Jingmo had massaged it thoroughly that morning, discomfort remained.
She regretted her teasing words last night - having classes today meant she was the one suffering now.
Casually looking up, Yu Li unexpectedly met Mu Chengsi's gaze.
Blinking, she took a sip from her water bottle, her voice slightly hoarse: "What's up?"
Mu Chengsi stared for several seconds before whispering: "Didn't you become a player? Why can't I sense the system's presence?"
Yu Li smiled: "Hidden it."
"......"
Honestly, Mu Chengsi wasn't even surprised anymore.
At this point, nothing Yu Li did could shock her.
After so many experiences, her heart was as calm as stagnant water.
Suddenly, Le Yi's hushed voice came from behind:
"Hey, want to go bar-hopping tonight? A senior told me about this new place with free drinks today - she said she'd take us."
Hearing a particular word, Yu Li slowly blinked.
"Senior?"
Her lips suddenly curled as she looked at Le Yi: "Would this senior happen to be...Jiang Xi?"
Le Yi froze.
"You know her too?"
