After Transmigrating into a Novel with My Boyfriend, He Turned Out to Be a Native Villain
Chapter 322: Hack the Surveillance
Yu Li washed her hands in the restroom but didn't return to her seat. After drying them, she found a quiet spot and took out her phone. She texted Bo Jingmo to ask if he was done, then sat on a chair scrolling through videos.
The system observed her actions, momentarily confused.
"Sis...you came to a bar to play with your phone?"
Yu Li replied indifferently, "I'll go back later."
The atmosphere had been too awkward with her there. Since her roommates were first-time visitors, she let them enjoy themselves first.
Even sitting there doing nothing, Yu Li's striking appearance and languid aura attracted numerous people trying to hit on her.
"Hey beautiful, can we get acquainted?"
Hearing this familiar pickup line, Yu Li paused her scrolling and looked up to be greeted by overwhelming alcohol breath. The man before her wore a disheveled suit with loosened tie, his face flushed red from drinking as he stared at her with undisguised lust.
Expressionless, Yu Li responded, "Sorry, no. I have a boyfriend."
The man blinked, then burst into drunken laughter.
"No problem, no problem," he slurred, his breath reeking like fermented vomit. "Relationships don't last forever anyway. Let's exchange contacts."
So that's what he meant by "no problem."
Yu Li leaned back to increase the distance between them.
"I mind. Could you leave me alone?"
Ignoring her rejection, the man actually tried to put his hand on her. Yu Li immediately stood up to evade, her voice icy. "Get back to your own seat."
Missing his grab, anger flashed across the drunk's face as alcohol clouded his judgment.
"Hey you bitch—"
But when he met her utterly calm eyes, his drunken haze momentarily cleared. As he hesitated, another man suddenly rushed over.
"So sorry miss! My friend's wasted, I'll take him away immediately." The newcomer covered the drunk's mouth and dragged him away while whispering fiercely, "Are you insane? That type's clearly unapproachable. Didn't I teach you the trick? Target the obviously drunk ones!"
The drunk mumbled, "But she's...so pretty..."
"Plenty of pretty girls here. She's clearly not an easy mark, stop wasting time." The man glanced at Yu Li before lowering his voice further. "I already scoped out another one, just follow my lead..."
With loud music and crowd noise drowning their conversation, they assumed Yu Li couldn't hear them. After giving them a look, Yu Li pocketed her phone and quietly followed.
From a corner, she watched the two men sneakily eyeing a particular direction. Following their gaze, her expression froze when she recognized who sat at that booth.
......
"Wanwan, stop drinking..."
A girl watched helplessly as Wan Wanwan kept chugging alcohol on the couch, completely baffled. What had gotten into her tonight? She'd been drinking nonstop since arrival without saying a word. Maybe inviting her had been a mistake.
This couldn't continue. She turned to her friend, "Did you find her aunt's contact?"
"Got it. Messaged her already—she's coming right away."
"Good." The girl reached out. "Give me the phone. I'll wait outside for her aunt. We'll come back after sending Wanwan home."
Her friend nodded in agreement.
As they tried helping Wanwan up, she violently shook them off. "Don't call my aunt! I'm not drunk! Bring me more drinks!"
The girls pretended not to hear, coaxing gently, "Okay okay, you're not drunk. Let's get some fresh air—it's stuffy in here."
Wanwan forced her eyes open, squinting at them before suddenly bursting into tears.
"Screw you Bo Jingmo! Should've found someone you liked sooner instead of wasting my damn time!"
The girls had no idea who this Bo Jingmo was but humored her while guiding her toward the exit.
Just as they reached the doorway, two men suddenly blocked their path.
"Need help, ladies?"
Smelling the alcohol on them, the girl subtly frowned. "No thanks, please move."
"Don't be like that! We just want to help you carry your friend."
"We don't need help." As she tried going around them, one man suddenly grabbed Wanwan's waist.
"Hey! Let go!!" she shrieked.
"Relax! We'll just help to the door!" The man was already transferring Wanwan from the girl's arms to his own, his hand creeping toward her shoulder.
"Let her go! Someone's waiting outside for us!" The girl desperately looked around for assistance.
The men exchanged glances before abruptly steering Wanwan toward a side exit.
Panicking, the girl blocked them. "Release my friend now!"
"Main exit's crowded. We're taking the side door—same thing," one said shamelessly.
Frantic, the girl pulled out her phone to update Wanwan's aunt. When she looked up, the men had nearly reached the side exit. She was about to call for security when a calm female voice spoke beside her.
"You're Wanwan's friend? She'll be fine. Go wait for her family at the main entrance."
The woman's tranquil tone inexplicably felt reassuring. Before the girl could respond, the woman was already heading toward the side exit.
Meanwhile, the two men thought they'd succeeded. Grinning at each other, they were about to celebrate when—BANG!—something hard smashed against their heads.
A soda can clattered to the ground.
Stunned, one man touched his aching head before erupting.
"What the fuck?! Who fucking threw—"
Turning, they faced a pair of chillingly familiar eyes.
Yu Li picked up another drink can, testing its weight while glancing at the ceiling surveillance camera.
"Hack the surveillance."
System: "Got it, sis."
The drunk man blinked before releasing Wanwan with a sleazy grin, approaching Yu Li.
"What? Did you come looking for me, beautiful?"
Yu Li lazily lifted her gaze, suddenly smiling sweetly.
"Exactly."
"I was specifically waiting for you two to come out."
After all, it would've been inconvenient to act with so many witnesses inside.
