In a certain boys' dorm room, someone let out an exclamation.

Ye Boli turned from his seat: "What?"

"Not Jiang Xi. The comments say it's someone else," Chen Chao leaned in, squinting. "Brother Bo kept this so well hidden? Damn, she's a total knockout. But judging from the comments, this beauty seems to have a bad reputation."

"Really?" Ye Boli opened the comment section and quickly scanned through it. His brows furrowed. "This... doesn't seem like Bo Jingmo's style at all. Made up, right?"

Bullying others with power? Bo Jingmo would never stoop to that.

"No idea. Rumor has it Jiang Xi went to confront this girl—they had a shouting match right under the dorm building. Some even saw Jiang Xi nearly crying from anger."

Ye Boli hissed through his teeth: "Brother Bo's girlfriend is that aggressive?"

He remembered Jiang Xi having a gentle temper. Their few encounters left a decent impression—she didn't seem the type to pick fights.

Chen Chao retrieved his phone and kept scrolling through comments.

After a while, he tsked twice and shook his head: "No wonder Brother Bo hasn't been back this semester—probably busy with this girlfriend. Some claim they're seen together often. Fuck, even as his roommate I didn't know."

Then he tapped his chin, suddenly proposing a bold theory: "Hey, what if this girl's after Brother Bo's money? But since it's his first relationship, he can't bear to break up and just obeys her every whim. Then Jiang Xi found out and confronted her to stop taking advantage of him."

Ye Boli: "..."

Are you insane?

Noticing Ye Boli's exasperated look, Chen Chao defended he wasn't spouting nonsense.

"Look, Brother Bo never mentioned dating anyone. No official announcement, not even a photo in his feed. Last time we met he was single—how could he get into a relationship so fast?"

He added: "Unless they fell in love at first sight?"

He glanced at Chen Chao: "Any clarifications on the forum? Has Jiang Xi said anything?"

"Nope," Chen Chao scrolled while muttering. "Silence equals admission, right?"

No word from Bo Jingmo or Yu Li either?

Frowning, Ye Boli took out his phone: "Don't spread rumors online yet. Let me ask Brother Bo."

The message went unanswered. Checking the time—Bo was abroad, probably still asleep.

Chen Chao suddenly suggested: "Don't you have Jiang Xi's contact? Why not ask her?"

Ye Boli happened to share a class with Jiang Xi and had added her during a group project.

After some hesitation (and Chen Chao's prodding), Ye Boli finally messaged:

Several seconds of silence, then the "typing" indicator appeared before her reply:

Ye Boli: [Are they true?]

Reading this, Jiang Xi bit her lip, fingers hovering.

Ye Boli wasn't the first to ask. But how could she explain?

The forum wasn't entirely wrong—she did approach Yu Li over Bo Jingmo. Just not for the reasons speculated. Should she tell classmates it was about some "instance"? They'd think her insane.

Moreover, she knew nothing about the student council affairs and couldn't clarify.

After Yu Li's public shaming, why should she defend her? She'd only inquired about Bo Jingmo—Yu Li was the aggressive one.

Besides, she hadn't leaked this. Its exposure must mean divine justice at work.

The bombshell sent shockwaves:

[WTF?? Backstabbing friends for love?? Bo Jingmo's this kind of person?]

[Seriously, what black magic does Yu Li possess to make Bo Jingmo go this far?!]

Seeing this, Ye Boli glared at Chen Chao, who raised his hands in surrender:

"Fuck! Wasn't me!! We just found out—how'd it spread so fast?!"

The revelation made Yu Li and Bo Jingmo targets of mass ridicule and attacks.

Meanwhile, Yu Li learned of the situation.

Leaning against a table, she chuckled softly.
