CHAPTER 44: SO WHO IS AZAZEL?

"Why are you guys talking about age so much? Does it matter that much?" Iris asked curiously as she closed the gap between us and interrupted me from hearing Alicia’s age

’Why did you interrupt at the most critical moment?’ I inwardly facepalmed at her and sighed deeply

Then I looked at all five girls surrounding me and said to them, " Alright, girls, tell me your ages one by one. Starting from Alicia"

Well, it’s better I ask now so that I don’t freak out later when I am asked their age or something.

’Yeah, that would be lame,’ I wryly smiled.

Alicia sighed and pouted at me. And why is she pouting? Please don’t ask me, I can’t always read their thoughts.

"I am thirty-five, and before you think I am old, please don’t. I am just a toddler compared to my elder sisters, who are hundreds of years older," She said and returned to hugging me to recharge her mana.

I nodded at that, though in my mind I thought, ’even if you say not to mind your age, you’re literally 15 years older than me’

I then turned my attention to Eva, who noticed my gaze and looked at me with a sweet smile, and began her words, "I am just 2 years younger than Alice, though my birthday is next month, so I’ll be thirty-four then," She said with a thoughtful look.

’So her birthday is next month, wonder what kind of present my elf wife will like,’ I thought, and looked towards Iris, who was still confused about why I was inquiring about everyone’s ages.

But upon closer look, I noticed something different about her.

Along with her usual ponytail with braided bangs, and her beautiful brown skin.

She was now wearing a fur jacket instead of the denim one she had worn before, along with a tank top that showed her cleavage and midriff, clearly showing those sexy abs, and paired with her toned thighs, which are also revealed due to her now wearing shorts instead.

Overall, she looks absolutely beautiful and sexy.

"Iris, you... look different?" I said to her with a slight pause, to which tilted her head slightly, then asked, "What do you mean I look the same, hmm.." She then looked at her clothes and realised what I was talking about

"Ah, you are talking about my clothes. Actually, my aunt gave them to me to se— Ahem, because the climate in The land of the night is too cold, that’s why." She finished and looked away from my judging gaze

’She should know that it’s not a valid excuse, right? Those clothes barely do anything to warm someone up, and even her jacket is too short for her entire body.’ I thought as I looked at it with deadpan eyes.

"Anyways, what’s your age?" I asked, shrugging away the thought of her possible scheme to seduce me with those skimpy clothes

Iris looked at me and answered, somewhat clueless, "I am 25, but why are you asking that? When does age start to matter when there are elixirs and such things found in the market at a discount?"

Wait...

There are elixirs

No, I guess as expected of the supernatural world, but...

Discount?

Seriously, and there are billionaires trying desperately to find a way to live longer, but they can’t find any.

But I shook my head at the question as it was useless to think of those things.

’Anyway, I am glad I am not going to age natively, and as I am a part vampire, I am probably also immortal.

I thought as I looked at the last two, who I was, yet to know the age of

But before I needed to ask, Eleanor was already ready to answer, "I am probably 23 or 24, I’m not sure, as there’s no sun to measure time here and no one bothered to find alternatives," She uttered with an unsure look.

’Wait, weren’t you supposed to be the same age as me? Why are you older now? I Inwradly questioned in disbelief.

However, I thought. ’Wait, if Liliana also turns out to be older than me, does that mean I am actually younger than all my wives"

At that realization, I was starting to sweat nervously ’That leaves no seniority for me as their husband’

But in a way, it’s also better.

At least no one would blame me if I got any of them Pregnant.

Ahem...

Let’s move on to Liliana, then.

I turned my attention towards Liliana, who was, for some reason, avoiding my gaze

"Why are you looking away, Liliana?" I asked, but she still didn’t look at me.

I was confused and decided to make her look at me by grabbing her face and looking into her Eyes.

I asked, "Are you hiding something from me or us?" I raised my eyebrow as she still refused to answer and tightly closed her mouth.

Then, with a divilish smirk, I thought of a way to make her answer quickly.

"Answer immediately or I’ll think you like to be humiliated publicly," I whispered in her ear and grabbed her ass, fondling those plump and juicy peaches.

Lilian moaned slightly and pouted in defeat. "Damn it, at least let me keep my secrets, arghh, Alright, I am way past a hundred happy," She blurted out in annoyance.

But the entire room got quiet at her words.

’Hundred huh? Though I expected she’d also be older, I definitely didn’t expect she’d be past her century’ I mused inwardly with a wry smile.

Though the others took that differently, "Huh? You are a hundred I thought we were the same age," Eleanor said in confusion, and Iris shared the same look.

"Didn’t we attend that bastard’s lecture together? Though you got taken away after the first month, still, we were all the same age back then," Iris’ disbelief and confusion clouded her face.

Liliana sighed and said with a tired tone, "Iris, Eleanor, you two should have at least focused on your studies a bit more, don’t you know that time moves slowly in hell, and I wasn’t the same age as you guys even back then Demons age slower than other species, untill we hit our prime which is at thousound years old"

Her words convinced Eleanor and Iris, and they asked for nothing anymore.

But someone else had a different question.

"But I am confused. That means you wasted all those years without any training. Shouldn’t demons already be more? Powerful at your age, Liliana," Alicia asked, and Liliana turned her head away at that question.

’That’s what I was fearing for damnit, now I am going to be teased for being lazy and doing nothing, wasting all those years without investing that time in learning useful things,’ she blushed as she thought and looked at me, who was looking at her curiously.

’NO! Definitely no, I don’t want my reputation to worsen in front of Valerian, ’ she inwardly screamed in denial of that possibility.

"Ahem, I can’t help it, my father doesn’t really like me injuring myself in training, so I used that time to study instead," She said with a forced smile.

’Technically, it’s not a lie. I studied all the romance novels I could and researched all types of poison as a safety measure,’ she nodded at her justification.

Alicia didn’t ask for more, as it’s not really her place to judge someone, and returned to snuggling at me.

Then, now that I know my wives a bit more than before, and with a subtle smile, I looked at them.

"So then, let us sit down and talk because, honestly, standing. All day is meaningless," I said aloud and carried Alicia with me to a couch.

The others followed me, and we sat on the same big couch.

"So, about the previous incident with Alina Eleanor, I hope you apologize to everyone here, especially Alicia," I asked Eleanor, who sat beside me, glaring at Alicia, who had the special seat on my lap.

But upon hearing my words, she dispersed her jealousy and looked at everyone. "I honestly would have rejoiced if she actually succeeded in killing you all, but I would have earned Darling’s hate as well, so I apologize and hope you don’t get between me and Darling anymore for me to not do it again," She said with a bow, but her words were anything but that of an apology.

I wryly smiled at that and pinched Eleanor on the waist. "She basically means she won’t do it again and hopes you forgive her this time," I said on her behalf, and before Eleanor could retort, I glared at her to stay quiet.

But the others don’t really seem to be angry at Eleanor’s words.

"Husband, you don’t have to sugarcoat her words; we know she isn’t one to share," Iris said and leaned into my side, hugging my arm.

The others also shared the same sentiment.

Guess they don’t need me as the mediator then. Good, less work for me.

I smiled at the thought and moved on to a different and more important subject

"So who is Azazel?" I asked solemnly
