CHAPTER 1015: CHAPTER 1006: BROTHERS OF ETERNAL MOUNTAIN

"Second Senior Brother?"

Hearing the master’s words, Mo Wangchen was momentarily stunned.

He instinctively turned his head and looked behind him, had the master’s Second Senior Brother also come?

But soon, Mo Wangchen realized there was no one behind him.

He was surprised, as if he suddenly understood, and looked at the master with astonishment, "Was Master talking to me?"

"Who else could it be?"

The master smiled and then fetched a stool and a bamboo rod, motioning for Mo Wangchen to sit beside him.

"A long time ago, we once fished here together. At that time, all the senior and junior brothers of Eternal Mountain were still here..."

Handing the bamboo rod to Mo Wangchen, the master cast the hook into the water and, after a long silence, began to speak.

Mo Wangchen was somewhat clueless, or rather, he was unable to calm his heart because he simply didn’t know what the master was talking about.

"Does it seem strange?"

Seeing through Mo Wangchen’s confusion, he looked at him, "No surprise there, you’ve forgotten these things..."

"Does the master mean to say that I am the reincarnation of your Second Senior Brother?"

Mo Wangchen thought of this possibility, but then something felt off. He was clearly the reincarnation of Ji Changkong, the son of the ancient Divine King.

The master nodded and said, "That day, in the Ji Family, when you were born, an anomaly appeared in Heaven and Earth."

"Anomaly in Heaven and Earth?" Mo Wangchen frowned, he indeed had heard of this before.

In ancient times, when Ji Changkong was born, an anomaly startled the entire Daluo Heaven Realm; it was a heavenly pen writing the words ’Changkong’ above the Ji Family.

Hence, Ji Changkong was named as such!

"Changkong, that was my Second Senior Brother’s name... that pen... was our master’s..."

"Master?" Mo Wangchen frowned deeper. Who was this master the master spoke of?

Such a transcendent being, yet above him, there was a master, and it was unimaginable how powerful this so-called master must have been.

"Junior does not understand, why is the master certain that I am the reincarnation of your Second Senior Brother, and who is this master you speak of, where is he?" Mo Wangchen asked several questions in succession.

The master looked at the distant sky, "The master has always been there, but we cannot find him."

"What do you mean?"

"Do you know that this world is actually a butterfly, and our master is the Dharma of that butterfly, incarnating as a man, founding Eternal Mountain, and we are the disciples he took."

"Senior Brother Ren Tianyi, he followed the master the longest, Second Senior Brother Chu Yu, in the last Era, he had another title, Divine King Chang Kong!"

"Third Senior Brother Fang Han, born with a sword, his achievements in Sword Dao no less than mine."

"Fourth Senior Brother Shuai Zhen, endowed with infinite fortune, you could also call him the God of Wealth..."

"Then what about you, master?" Mo Wangchen asked curiously.

"Me?"

The master hesitated, then smiled, "I am your junior brother, or you could say, I am your senior brother."

"What do you mean?" Mo Wangchen was even more confused, both a junior brother and a senior brother?

The master shook his head, said nothing, and continued, "Some things, over the long years, even I have forgotten, in the coming days, I will tell you bit by bit."

By the lakeside, the two fished, free from worldly disputes. Here, Mo Wangchen felt a peace he had never experienced before.

In the three days that followed, he learned many things from the master.

In ancient times, Ji Changkong was born alongside an anomaly; that pen was the treasure of Eternal Mountain, the Heavenly Pen!

The founder of Eternal Mountain, the Master, he is the Dharma of this world and the only one capable of preventing the destruction of an Era.

The Heavenly Pen represents divine will; after the master’s disappearance in the last Era, the master spent a long time locating him, but ultimately failed to prevent the destruction of that Era.

All was destroyed, the world ceased to exist, leaving only the master to survive.

Until the birth of the current Era, he emerged from the Time Cave, learning that the brothers from Eternal Mountain of old, with Ksitigarbha’s help, achieved reincarnation.

And the Ji Changkong of old was the Second Senior Brother Chu Yu from the past Era, known then as the unparalleled Divine King Chang Kong!

Among the five brothers, the master was the last to enter the sect, or perhaps, he was the first.

Because he and the First Senior Brother were, in fact, the same person!

This is somewhat similar to Qin Yue, Baiyue, and Yaoyao; Eternal Mountain’s First Senior Brother and the master were both incarnations of the same person’s remaining thoughts.

After three days, Mo Wangchen had learned many unknown things from the master; though reluctant to admit it, the evidence all pointed out that Ji Changkong was indeed the reincarnation of the Second Senior Brother.

And he himself was the reincarnation of Ji Changkong!

"The Heavenly Pen’s whereabouts are now unknown; it carried the master’s intent and found you at your birth in ancient times."

"But to this day, apart from you, I have found none of the other brothers, or rather, they have not awakened, perhaps they have not yet reincarnated successfully."

"Where did the master go?" Finally, Mo Wangchen calmed his heart and couldn’t help but ask.

The master shook his head, "I don’t know. In the last Era, I found him, but it was only a clone of the master, unable to prevent the Era’s destruction. Ksitigarbha speculates the master has fallen into reincarnation, existing in any era, but finding him is too difficult."

"Now, this Era, before long, will also be destroyed if we still can’t find the master..."

"This Era will be destroyed soon?!"

Hearing this, Mo Wangchen abruptly stood up from his place.

The master saw this and was momentarily stunned, then smiled, "Perhaps I wasn’t clear enough; to me, ’before long’ is still several million years away."

"Several million years..."

Mo Wangchen was dumbfounded; such a span is enough to obliterate everything, not even a Holy Emperor can live that long, but in the master’s words, several million years became a mere ’before long’...

It’s unimaginable how much time he has lived through in this vast span of years.

"Earlier, you mentioned that besides us five brothers, Eternal Mountain later took in some female disciples?"

Hearing this, a tinge of sorrow seemed to flash in the master’s eyes; he looked at the distant sky, remained silent for a long time, and finally nodded, "Indeed, and through these endless years, I have been searching for their whereabouts..."

At this point, he stopped speaking, sighed, his face once again displaying the usual smile, and turned to look at Mo Wangchen, "You can call me, Lin Feng!"
