CHAPTER 300: CLEANING UP.

Leo took a couple of hours to tell Snow about the entire scenario before he was spared by her. The young man sighed while he was showering and mumbled, "I am not going to take Lily to any of these shady places. This girl loves drama too much."

Earlier when he was clarifying something for Snow, the little goblin was snickering behind her mother and teasing Leo. After cleaning up, he came out of the room and headed downstairs. He had to go to the office and sign a few important documents. He found that Snow was also ready in her work attire. The young man asked, "Didn’t you say that you don’t want to go today?"

The lady sighed and replied, "I don’t but I have to see through the hand over of tasks. I am sure Percie would be scolding me in the back of her head since she already has so much and now she has to entertain someone new in the finance head chair."

Leo shook his head and replied, "No, it wouldn’t be a problem, but can you tell me who did you choose to handle this burden?"

Snow replied, "I hired Cherry for an year. She will be earning in commissions. She has been handling the finance for her restaurants and wanted to find a job to learn more. I thought why not have her come and help me. So, she has been training as my secretary for the past three months, and I must say, she still has the knack for the twists and turns."

Leo smiled and replied, "Well, she wasn’t a valedictorian for nothing in her year. So, you two teaming up is a nice thing. However, I am sure one of these days, Elvin would come over to sulk in my office or raid Cherry with a cheeky bouquet of flowers."

Snow smiled and replied, "That’s okay. Cherry knows how to handle him so you won’t be affected. What about the Sigil Alliance? Are they also coming over today?"

Leo nodded and replied, "Frag looked into the contracts and diffused a few inevitable loopholes that were favoring them. When she went back to the people, she simply stated, that they were breaching the spirit of negotiation by coming up with such petty tricks to exploit us and that we would call off the cooperation since they don’t want any merit at all."

Snow chuckled and replied, "She scared them into coming clean."

Leo nodded and then he held her hand as they walked out of the house. Lily followed them with a quick step as Zeenat came over holding her small bag. Lily entered the car and sat in the back. Leo helped Snow inside the vehicle carefully and then took the steering as Zeenat and Jock followed in the back.

Snow said, "Ma said that you would need to go to the stag nation on the weekend. The Grimm family has agreed to your terms."

Leo nodded and Lily said, "I have a winter break next week. Can I go along with Baba?"

Leo was surprised that she would bring this up, but the system said, ’Ping: Host it is important that your child knows a little more about the world than what she learns from the books. Take her out and have her widen her horizon. This will cultivate her character. As a reward the system will ensure that your wife and unborn child stays safe here.’

Leo was hesitant since Snow and the unborn child was his biggest concern, so he looked at Snow, who was still contemplating if she should agree or not, and said, "It’s fine. I can take her with me and look after her. This will a chance for her to see how the world works on the broader spectrum. Here she would only worry you."

Leo sneakily winked at Lily. The little goblin was very image conscious. She was a sensible child and when Leo said that she would only worry Snow, she frowned, but when she saw the wink she understood that Leo was only saying this to get Snow to agree, and she said, "Yes, Ma, I will also watch over Baba out there and protect him from any female wolves. I promise to be good outside."

Leo glared at his dark cookie through the rear view mirror only to see her tongue sticking out at him, and Snow said, "Fine, you can go but you must listen to what Baba says and not embarrass him. Act with dignity and be wise. Don’t speak much and listen well. Okay?"

Lily nodded and after a few minutes they reached the school, Leo picked up the little goblin in his arms and asked in a whisper, "Why are you poking your mom today? Do you want her to beat me?"

Lily giggled and said, "No, it is because you didn’t practice with me. Baddie Baba."

Leo smiled helplessly and said, "Baby, you are so petty at times."

Lily blushed as if Leo was praising her. The young man couldn’t help but give a deep kiss on her cheek and said, "Next time you can come to me and tell me directly please. I am afraid of getting scolded by your Ma."

Lily nodded and then she kissed his cheek as she said, "Sorry, I went a little overboard just now."

Leo smiled and dropped her to the school, before taking Snow to the office and headed to the conference room where he signed the few contracts and agreements with the twelve legal representatives from the Sigil Families with Fragrance present on the scene.

After that he went inside his office and used his computer to contact Ellyse who had initiated a strike team to take out the warlord who dared to aim at his life. Leo leaned back in his chair and watched a feed, how a team of six trained assassins stormed through the area and they began to clean the area one house at a time and one assailant at a time.

This was the clean up team for a reason, they had the highest kill count in the entire company and they were the reason why the Pinnacle Security had such a high reputation when it came to the mercenary business. They were a security consultancy on the surface but they did carry out missions for various governments and they did a good job. This is why, when someone came looking for trouble with them, they thought twice.

Ellyse was sitting in her office, with Leo connected to her on the computer as they both watched the stream play. Suddenly, the telephone in her office went off and she picked it up before asking, "Yes, Amanda."

Amanda was her secretary, who said, "Ma’am, Minister Kujo of the Ivory nation is on call. He wants to talk to you about the ongoing mission."

Ellyse said, "Connect him through."

Amanda didn’t say anything else and simply connected the person to Ellyse, who said, "Greetings Minister Kujo. To what do I owe this pleasure?"

The person on the other side yelled, "Stop with the pleasantries, how dare you send your men to take down Warlord Bam? On whose authority?"

Ellyse smiled faintly and said, "Minister Kujo, if I were you, I would lower the voice a bit before you piss me off and I have my snipe take you out with an incendiary round and have your head splashed all over that gilded study room of yours."

Yes, Ellyse had a sniper posted to aim for Kujo at the moment, and as soon as he called, she pressed a command button on her computer and a small window appeared which showed the Minister sitting in his study directly. The Minister was shocked and asked, "What do you mean?"

Ellyse said, "If you piss me off, I will take you out like that porcelain vase on your right."

Her words dropped and followed by a whistle the vase in the study clinked and then it fell and fell all over the ground. This was proof that if Kujo tried to act smart, he would die. The minister was shocked, and Ellyse said, "Warlord Bam dared to put out the hit on someone who is really close to the President of the Pinnacle Securities, and for what? For his greed, so the Boss decided to send out a message and Warlord Bam is the example for the world.

If you also want to interfere in this mission, I can send you to meet with Warlord Bam in hell. Would you like that?"

Minister Kujo understood that this company was not someone he should mess with, even if he had used their services in the past, if he tried to act smart, they would kill him. He simmered down and said, "I see, if that is the case, then you can go ahead and deal with this issue as you want."

Ellyse replied, "I am not looking for your permission Minister Kujo, so please be mindful of your tone before me.
