CHAPTER 301: MEETING THE NOBLES.

The week passed rather calmly and Leo defended the family against many small ploys from stray companies and even Matilda Luger tried to meddle with him for acquisition of a small company that Leo wanted to integrate in his own group. However, Cherry was smart and she handle the situation perfectly.

It was weekend and Leo had to depart for the Stag Nation and meet with the Head of the Grimm Family and a couple of more nobles. He was worried about a few things and handed over the Signing authority to Snow, but since he didn’t wish to burden her with extra work, he called Ellyse, and the lady agreed to help and advice Percei Hibiscus for the time he was out of the country.

Ellyse had a great name in the cooperate world and when Percei learned that she was a subordinate to Leo, she was shocked and happy that she caught the right opportunity. This young man was hiding such a card in his sleeves, who knows how many more resources he had at his disposal to handle the situation.

Ellyse had one task, that was to advice Percei in the matters that she could not handle smoothly, and keep an eye on the over all operation. She was an entity that came to follow him because of the system and she was completely loyal to him. So, she would not make any stupid mistake that could cause trouble for the company. After all, people like Matilda and Bishop were waiting for him to stumble so that they could make him fall.

In the morning, Leo was reading a few things on his phone, it was the research about the Grimm family and the few key players in the lobby of nobles in the stag nation. He didn’t wish to walk over there only to be caught off guard by them. Alongside him Lily was also reading the document with the same content.

This entire week, Leo had been telling her about how tricky the nobles could be. The system did tell him that Lily was better equipped to handle the tricks of the nobles, but Leo still felt that it was necessary for her to know a few things that she would have to face there inevitably.

Anastasia has given them a lot of tips over how some of the people behaved. She was an old player of the game, even though she had bought her way out of it, she still knew the hacks and the buttons of the rest of the people.

After a few minutes, Snow came over with a smile on her face and she asked, "Are you two ready?"

Lily stood up and brushed her dress calmly before she said, "Yes, Mother."

The elders smiled and Leo also stood up to smile and replied, "Wish me luck."

Snow walked up to him and kissed his lips gently as she said, "Be careful out there. Some people would come to target you and Lily. Protect her and if it gets too hard to handle, come back home."

Leo smiled and replied, "Yes, Your Majesty, I understand."

Then the two people got into the car and drove toward the airport. The private jet has been prepared and it was ready to take flight. Leo took a deep breath and said, "Jock, when I am gone, you will be staying in the outhouse. Be alert. The office building will be handled by Simon and Ellyse had brought over her own guards. So just focus on the house and the family."

Jock nodded in agreement and patted his chest as he said, "Boss, don’t worry about anything. I will protect everyone with my life."

Leo nodded and Lily rolled her eyes at them as she asked, "Uncle Jock, if you give up your life, how will you protect others? Kill someone if you need to protect the rest but don’t die."

Her words surprised the people but Leo nodded with a smile. He replied, "She is right. You all hold the gun and it is not for show. If someone dares to push you guys too much, then just shoot them in the legs and be done with it."

Jock took a deep breath and nodded firmly. Kyle stopped as they reached the airport. Kyle got out of the passenger seat and pulled the back door open. Leo got down first before Lily followed him. She held his hand and the two walked towards the private jet that stood on the side.

The flight staff greeted them as they climbed the stairs. The two fastened their seatbelts with Kyle and Zeenat in attendance. Leo asked, "Kyle, have you arranged things over there?"

Kyle nodded and replied, "Yes, Sir. We have our own motorcade and guards coming in to meet you on the airport as you touchdown."

Leo nodded and then he looked at Lily as he said, "Love, get some sleep, things would get interesting once we get down."

Lily nodded and propped herself up before kissing Leo’s cheek and said, "Good night, Baba."

The reason Leo asked her to sleep was to save her from being jet-lagged. It would be day when they reach the place, and it wouldn’t be a good thing to have Lily sleep when she should be enjoying the western scenery.

As Lily closed her eyes, Leo instructed the other two to do the same. While he used the internet facility on the plane to search the dark web and spot if there was any chatter regarding them. After a few minutes, Leo raised his brow as he found something objectionable.

It was posted by one of the information traders that the Grimm family was at odds with the Shrine family. The Shrine Family has been blocking the way at every turn and it was because of them the Grimm Family was forced to seek outside help. The reason behind this was the fact that Grimm Family had once helped the Anastasia Marlin when Snow had ran away. The reason was simple, the young scion of the Shrine Family had affectionate feelings for Snow, but his plans to propose Snow upon her return were foiled.

So, these days, he has been rallying people against the Grimm family for calling the external help. Leo scoffed and wanted to comment that the Shrine family and the Scion, Harry Shrine was a shameless hypocrite.

Just when Leo was about to explode, he heard a light murmur. He turned around and found Lily was snoring. Leo smiled and turned over in his side and fell asleep looking at Lily. Her little nose fluttering as she exhaled were very cute.

The flight was calm, and smooth. Suddenly, Leo heard a notification and as he sat up he saw the air hostess walking over to Zeenat and Kyle, waking them up. Leo patted Lily gently and said, "Love, wake up. We are about to land."

Lily groggily opened her eyes and the young man smiled at her. He knew that she wanted to come and snooze in his embrace, but that was not safe. He placed one hand on her cheek and gently caressed it. Soon, the plane landed and then Leo picked her up in his arms as he walked out of the cabin and climbed down the small step carefully.

Kyle and Zeenat followed behind him and right then Leo saw a row of cars driving over. He raised his brow and turned over to Kyle as he said, "Do you want my wife to kill me? Why is this car here? Send it over to her."

Kyle scratched the back of his head and replied, "Sir, this is the second model. Chairman Ellyse ordered two of them."

Leo sighed and said, "Fine, you guys sure know how to cover your bases and spend my money."

Kyle and Zeenat looked at each other with a helpless look. They boarded the car, and after a few minutes the rest of the guards loaded the luggage and the motorcade moved out of the airport special channel. Leo looked around and asked, "Where are we staying?"

Zeenat has taken the role of the secretary and replied, "Sir, we are booked at the Sky Throne Hotel. The presidential suit is ready and we have also booked the rooms on the lower floor for the guards to stay."

Leo nodded and then he looked outside the window. The scenery was similar to the Angkor City but the people and the colors have changed. Leo looked at Lily who was sticking to him like a Koala and asked softly, "Do you see anything you like?"

Lily replied softly, "Why are the trees here, red?"

Leo smiled and replied, "The reason for this is fall season. Here, winters are late and so, before they come, all the tree leaves turn red."

Lily nodded and said, "Can we have these trees in our mansion?"

Leo agreed as he said, "Anything you want, my dear."

Lily smiled faintly and then she closed her eyes once again. Zeenat said, "Sir, I just received the word, the head of the Grimm Family, Stefan Grimm has come over to the hotel and is waiting for you."

Leo raised his brow and asked, "Hmmm, fine, since he has come over, we shall have a bite with him."
