The person approaching bwas /bbFerris’s /bfriendb, /bEthan.

lle was also one bof /bSilver Moon Pack’s elite, a rather gentle and modest bperson/bb. /bHaving known him for almost three yearsb, /bI’d always had a good impression of

bEthan/bb. /b

He kept staring at the shopping bag in my handb. /bFinding it too troublesome to exin, I simply nodded in acknowledgment.

“Watches from this brand aren’t cheap. Even the most basic models bcost /bbsix /bfiguresb. /bYou really don’t need to bgive /bsuch expensive gifts. bFerris/b, he…”

He trailed offb, /bbut I knew what he wanted to say.

He wasn’t worth me giving such a nice gift.

Moreoverb, /bthe gift I’d spent several months‘ sry on might not even be appreciated by Ferris.

These words were too hurtful for Ethan to say outright.

Of course I knew Ferris wasn’t worth it, and the gift wasn’t for him anyway. I nodded and smiled, deflecting: “Alright, I won’t next time.”

I chatted with Ethan for a while before we parted ways.

Ethan watched my retreating figure and sighed deeply.

‘Ahb, /bsuch a wonderful girl. How did she get ruined by Ferrisb?/bb” /b

He opened WhatsApp and couldn’t help but send Ferris a message of advice.

Your Luna is really good to you. I just ran into her buying you a watch–tens of thousands of dors, bought without hesitation. That must be several months bof /bher sry. Cherish what you have.]

Ferris received this message while dining with Ashley.

His belly full of anger instantly dissipated upon seeing the message.

His expression gradually softened.

He thought: So Aurora knows she did wrong today and wants to buy a gift to apologize. Since that’s the case, he’d give her a way out.

When the time came, he’d ept her giftb, /bnaturally apologize to her as well, make up some sweet words to coax her, and her anger would probablypletely lisappear.

Ferrisb, /bwhat’s wrong? Whose message?” Ashley, sitting across from him, asked.

Ferris put away his phone nonchntly: “Nothing.”

Ashley didn’t ask further.

Soon after, Ferris got up to use the restroom, and Ashley took his phone from the table.

Ashley quickly entered the password and opened WhatsApp.

She first looked at my chat, where bthe /bconversation still stopped at a week ago when I asked if he wanted to travel together when work wasn’t busy.

There were also some travel guides for ces I really wanted to visit.

Ferris had replied “No timeb” /bafter five hours, and I hadn’t sent any messages bsince/b.

Ashley casually looked at those travel destinations, mockery shing in her eyes.

It seems that their three year rtionship was nothing special–Ferris didn’t even want to travel with that pathetic woman,

Ashley exited the chat and browsed randomly, seeing Ethan’s message.

She sneered cotilly, recalling my indifferent expression during our previous encounters, her heart full of scorn.

She thought to herself. I knew that Aurora wouldn’t really let go, but I didn’t expect her to still be buying gifts, trying to apologize to Ferris and make amends.

Ashley exited WhatsApp, turned off the screen, put Ferris’s phone back in its original position, then took out her own phone and called Victoria,

“Victoria, I just went ring shopping with Ferris and ran into Aurora. She was trying on wedding rings in the store, trying to win Ferris back…”

I returned to the vi with the gift and continued packing.

Not long after, the bedroom door was pushed open. Ferris stood at the doorway, looking down at me: “Are you finished packing?i” /i

“Mm, almost done.”

Ferris leaned against the door frame: “Aurora, don’t you have something to say to me?”

My heart jumped. Had he finally remembered about the divorce?
