ALPHA’S REGRET: FALSE MATE, TRUE LUNA
TRUE 333
Chapter b333 /b
Everything instantly became quiet.
Edward’s face immediately turned red with anger. He looked at me in disbelief, clearly not expecting his formerly obedient daughter to dare hit him.
My fingers were also trembling as I delivered that p.
“Edward, please keep your mouth clean. If there’s a next time, it won’t be just a p.”
He stood frozen, taking a long time to react before reaching out to fight back.
But this time, it wasn’t so simple–several bodyguards immediately rushed forward and pressed him into the snow.
Edward was held down firmly, pletely losing his usual authoritative father demeanor, looking utterly disheveled.
“Let me go! Let me go!! I’m hitting my own daughter–what right do you have to stop me?”
Hearing this hysterical shouting, I found it absurdly funny.
Usually, he refused to acknowledge me as his daughter, but now, just to hit me, he kept acknowledging the rtionship.
I clenched my fists and said coldly: “Throw him out. I don’t want to see him again.”
With my words, Ferris slightly gestured, and the bodyguards immediately dragged Edward away.
Themotion alerted Mary, who came out of the house: “What happenedb?/bb” /b
“Nothing. Please go back inside to rest–it’s cold outside.”
I quickly helped Mary back into the houseb. /b

His gaze darkened, burying his resentment deep in his heart.

Thinking of how Edward had been protecting Helena today, I returned to my room and took out the strand of

Edward’s hair I had pulled at the engagement party.
I made a phone call: “Did you get Helena’s biological sample?”
“Just arrived today.”
The person on the other end was someone Dane had found for me, specialized in handling such tricky matters.
“Good, pleasee over.”
I had long ago arranged for someone to obtain Helena’s sample to investigate her true rtionship with Edward.
After hanging up, Edward’s words from earlier still echoed in my mind, making my chest feel heavy.
Thinking I hadn’t contacted Adrian in a while, I was about to call him when suddenly, there was a knock on the
door.
I came back to my senses and turned to see Ferris standing at the doorway.
“Aurora, are you alright?b” /bhe said quietly.
I walked over and said softly: “Yes. Thank you for today.”
He looked at me, but his expression wasn’t very good: “No need to thank me.”
I thought he was upset because of Edward’s words, so I quickly exined: “Nothing happened between Dennis and
me.”
“I know.” Ferris’s expression softened slightly. “Come, let’s go downstairs and rest.”
“Okay.”
We went downstairs together.
With only the two of us left in the living room, I didn’t know how to start a conversation.

My face was pressed against his chest, clearly hearing his rapid yet deep heartbeat.
My breathing caught, but I didn’t push him away.
“I’m really fine,” I said quietly.

My heart panicked, and I instinctively turned my face away, suddenly hearing a voice from my phone.
The call I had just ced to Adrian had connected, and someone answered.
