Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins
Chapter 85-Jealous Alpha, Back Off
CHAPTER 85: 85-JEALOUS ALPHA, BACK OFF
Iris:
Once we finally touched the ground, I sat down on the side to catch my breath.
Thankfully, Kash and Luca did not complain, but Lara seemed annoyed that I was taking some time.
She paced around tiredly, almost like she was checking on me every two seconds, making it seem like I was wasting their time, and then finally I just caught up.
"Yeah, let’s head back to the campsite," I stated.
"It’s okay if you want to rest though," Luca said harshly, keeping one eye on Lara.
"No, it’s okay, I’m fine," I stated. I guessed it was nice of him to notice that I was bothered by Lara’s glares.
Once we started heading back and reached the campsite, I saw a devastated Scarlett trying to calm down my hyperactive children.
The two of them had grabbed the pillows and torn them open, playing with the inside material.
"Whee!" Amy was jumping up and down until she saw me arrive. "Mommy is here!" she yelled, running with her little feet.
"Be careful, Amy!" I screamed, running toward her when I saw her trip and fall. Her little arms spread out as she began to cry loudly.
"I don’t like this place!" she complained instantly.
"But you said you loved it here," Colin muttered, and she only gave him a hand gesture while still crying loudly.
"Come here." Kash stepped forward and grabbed her from me.
"What? You just had a little fall and you’re crying? You’re an Alpha King’s daughter, huh? Where is the strong daughter of mine?" He lifted her up in the air and then held her, and she instantly started giggling and laughing.
I reached the campsite and looked at the mess.
"This is so horrendous. We will have to clean it before we leave." I reminded everyone that I was not going to let anyone leave until the entire area was clean.
I hated when people went somewhere for picnics and then littered around like it was their property. Nobody would dirty their own property.
That was the problem. They only did this to places they thought were not theirs, which was sad and pathetic.
"Anyway, we should all take a shower and then get ready for dinner," I said, gesturing toward the cabin, and Lara was the first one to run toward it to freshen up.
Of course she did. The rest of us were busy cleaning the area.
It took some time, but once we were done, we all went inside to take a shower one by one.
However, I noticed that Luca’s injuries were not that mild for him to ignore them for too long.
Once everyone was showered and ready for dinner, we sat around the fire together.
Scarlett had asked me earlier if we were able to obtain the cure, and I had given her a nod.
They had prepared the food after a while. They had made egg-fried rice, steaks, noodles for the kids, and some dumplings.
We were going to eat well. It felt like a celebration, and only I knew how important it was. I was far happier than anyone could imagine.
I noticed that Luca had been scratching his back a lot.
He kept running his fingers around his neck and scraping the wounds, then shifting his back in a way that showed he was in pain.
I knew it wasn’t unbearable, but it was that irritating kind of pain, the kind you get when you have an itch you cannot escape.
The kids were really chatty. They kept everyone busy, making sure that Luca and the rest were responding to them.
They weren’t very talkative with Lara except for Amy, who would respond to her once in a while.
A sense of guilt settled in my chest as I watched Luca struggle with the discomfort.
"Okay, kids, now that you are done with dinner, you are going to come to the cabin with me. Get freshened up, and then I will put you to bed," I told them, and both nodded.
They already looked sleepy, so it wasn’t hard to lead them away from the fire.
We stepped back to the cabin together, and the two went into the restrooms while I sat on the couch and looked around.
It was a great cabin with plenty of rooms, three in total, but everyone still preferred the tents. Of course, not Scarlett.
Scarlett would be sleeping in the cabin.
That was when someone came in, looking like an angry bull.
"Why did you go with him when I told you I would take care of everything?" Kash demanded as he arrived.
"Can you please at least tell me what you’re talking about this time?" I asked, trying to sound sarcastic.
"The cave. I was going to go inside with you. Why did you go there with Luca?" he questioned, placing his hands on his waist as if he were completely confident in his accusation.
"I’m sorry, I don’t think I’m hearing you right. Are you really upset that I went in there with Luca? Let me explain it to you, because he is my boyfriend, and we can do things together." I watched his expression harden.
"Well, then you saw what happened. You passed out, didn’t you?" he remarked.
It was his way of suggesting that Luca wasn’t responsible or strong enough compared to him.
"Well, he saved me and then went inside and brought the herbs. So what exactly are you complaining about?" I replied, making it clear why I believed Luca had done an excellent job.
Kash stared at my face in silence, nodding as if issuing a warning.
"You know—" he began, but the kids came out of the bathroom.
"Daddy!" Both yelled, and Kash instantly put on a sweet smile.
"Daddy, are we all going to sleep together in one tent today?" Amy wondered, sounding hopeful.
Kash looked at me and then back at the children.
"No, kids, sadly we cannot. But it’s alright. We will spend more time together soon, hopefully," he commented, and I watched the kids pout in disappointment. "But it’s okay. We are having fun, aren’t we?" he added while lifting them and strolling toward the door.
"If you’re not busy with Luca, you should come and eat dinner with all of us," he taunted, even though he knew Luca was already outside.
What did he mean by saying I was busy with Luca? It was just his way of trying to annoy me.
He stepped out while I stayed behind to catch my breath and remind myself that I wasn’t going to react to his pointless comments.
But I already knew the night was going to be very difficult with the way Kash was behaving. And I wished I had ended the night right after dinner.
