Capítulo 857: Chapter 370: Invasion

“Why me?”

Violet had no objections to the matter, but Zorro couldn’t help complaining, “Guys, I’m feeling weak in the knees right now, can I have an easier job?”

“No.” Mouse rejected directly.

Before Zorro could ask why, he was given a reason, “Just look at you, with that kidney deficiency look, clearly from too many late nights. At this time of night, if you still need to go out to work, no normal person could have a rosy complexion, and you definitely don’t look like an old man. Among all of us, you’re the only one suitable for this job!”

“Moreover, Old Pao is responsible for teaming up with Old Jack. Old Jack has done plenty of heists; he’s a very experienced old hand. It’s appropriate for him to go inside and deal with the target.”

“Violet is a beauty anyway. Seriously, what kind of beauty does insect control work? She is more suited to delivering takeout.” Zorro said indignantly.

“Exactly, so all the insect control work is yours alone. Violet is only responsible for chatting with the security personnel. Although she’s an employee of the insect control company, she’s a socialite desperate to mingle with the wealthy! Her main job is also being a call girl.”

Mouse had the character settings all listed out, “From what I understand, private estates often have lots of beauties coming and going. They dress up as various professionals, hoping for a chance encounter with the estate owner, and quite a few have succeeded. So the security personnel pay no mind to these beauties, not even to transactions, because they are used to it.”

Violet gave him a thumbs-up after hearing this. Look at the intel he’s got!

Zorro took a deep breath and finally compromised, nodding reluctantly, “Okay, I’ll handle the insect control work.”

The group started deploying the action plan, discussing for over ten minutes before finalizing the tasks.

“Alright, let’s confirm once more. I’ll be in charge of vehicle watch and assistance, hacking into the estate’s security system, and maintaining smooth communication and command. Old Jack is responsible for going in through the back door and over the wall to strike the target, Old Pao will take a sniper position at a high point to eliminate risks. Violet and Zorro are responsible for going through the front door to plant explosives on the aerial vehicle. Anyone have any objections?” Mouse asked.

“No.” The group shook their heads.

“Okay, let’s synchronize our time.” Mouse pulled out a watch, adjusted the time, and said, “Current time is 23:26:47.”

“Spot on.”

“Accurate.”

“I’m off by 4 seconds,” Zorro said.

After saying this, he checked the time against the person next to him, adjusted his watch, and nodded, “OK! The current time is 23:27:04.”

“No discrepancies.” The group nodded.

“Let’s go!!”

After that, everyone packed up, grabbed their respective briefcases, and headed out.

As they went downstairs, inevitably they ran into the motel’s landlady. Seeing the group heading out, she warmly greeted them, “Honey, heading out for dinner?”

“Honey’s calling you,” Old Pao winked at Zorro, nudging his shoulder.

Zorro bravely walked over and smiled, “Yeah, honey, care to tag along?”

“Oh, maybe not,” the landlady glanced at their faces and immediately declined, “I still need to look after the shop, can’t go out. But you’d better return early; I close up by one o’clock.”

“Can it be a bit later? We’re going to have some wild fun outside, and motels don’t usually close at night, right?” Violet said.

“It’s not very safe around here at night, so I need to close up. But I can give you a spare key, or call me when you’re back.”

The landlady winked at Zorro, throwing a flirtatious glance.

So that’s your reason for closing, right? Afraid I won’t call you upstairs to sleep if I come back too late?

Zorro reluctantly agreed to her conditions and then turned with the group to leave.

Once in the car, Old Jack and Old Pao got into the Highlander, Zorro and Violet boarded the insect control company’s van, donning work uniforms and headphones.

“Can you hear me?” Mouse sat alone in the Highlander, turned on the computer, and initiated the channel dialogue.

“Of course, it’s clear.” The others replied after hearing it.

“Then let’s move out.” As Mouse spoke, the Highlander next to him started up.

Old Jack drove, reversing out of the space, turning around, and flooring it to leave the street.

The insect control company’s van also started leisurely and unhurriedly left the street.

As the two cars left one after the other, Mouse also started his vehicle and followed.

A few minutes later, Mouse parked the Highlander in an alley not far from the private estate, stopped the engine, and opened the computer’s electronic terrain map, calling the people on the channel.

“I’ve arrived at the target location.” Old Jack drove, parking in a small grove several meters away from the private estate.

After stopping and getting out, he and Old Pao opened the trunk, took out the suppressor rifle and handgun from the briefcase, loaded the subsonic bullets, took off their coats, put on black nightwear, and donned masks, looking every bit the part of sneaky thieves!

Old Pao changed into matching clothes too, grabbed the briefcase, and headed for higher ground, climbing a tall tree with ease, sitting on a branch strong enough to support his weight, setting up the sniper rifle, and aiming at the brightly lit private estate.
