An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me
Chapter 252: Miss Firestorm
CHAPTER 252: MISS FIRESTORM
A few days went by and the academy was finally back and everyone resumed. After everything that had happened, and everything seeming like they wouldn’t come back to the academy, but they finally did.
And it seemed the school was now on a high-drive mode because they had allowed a lot of time to go to waste in all the breaks and everything.
The students had had their good share of outside experiences, it was now time for them to know what was what and what wasn’t.
Homeroom started and Wen simply told them all to spend the next forty minutes going through the course sheet that was provided for them and pick out their core courses.
At the start, they were all taking courses that were general to them, but now they had to make their selection and stick with it till the end.
Riven looked at the paper in front of him with a quill in his hand, he looked at everything that was on it. He picked blacksmithing, combat, advanced combat, spirit zone class, spatial magic classes, beast taming classes, and spell creation.
That was a total of seven classes, the only amount that was allowed for him to take. He could sit in on other lectures, but he would not be recorded as a student of the class.
When the forty minutes ended, all of them submitted their forms, with that they had chosen all their courses.
The class ended and the next one started, Riven had his first class in Spirit Zone. He was about to head there when Noel walked up to him.
"What class are you headed to, bro?"
"Spirit Zone class," Riven said.
"Yeah, I think nearly everyone is taking that class, understanding the spirit zone is a crucial step in breaking through," Noel said.
"Yeah, some people are not going to survive it," Riven said. He recalled the book, the class was the hardest, the logic and skills required were a lot and many of them would drop out of the class after today.
"Why do you say so?" Noel asked.
"Just watch and see," Riven replied.
They all headed for the class, it was a large circular auditorium with seats set in ascending order and a stage at the center.
Riven sat inside along with everyone, and not only from his class but also from the other classes. They waited for a few minutes and then the instructor walked in.
She was a petite lady with red hair and glasses, she wore a long black gown with long sleeves.
The moment Riven laid eyes on her, his eyes widened. "Miss Firestorm," he muttered.
"Hello students, I am Miss Firestorm." She spoke and her voice reached everywhere in the hall.
"I’m a mage from the Council of Mages who just recently left there to come and teach in the prestigious academy.
Now before I go on, I would like to explain to everyone what this class is about. Here we learn about the details of the spirit zone that no one else teaches you, and you can’t get outside.
To most people, the spirit zone is simply a manifestation of our mana and thought, but it is far, far more than that." She said and looked at a boy who was talking in the class, and with only her thought he got lifted off the chair.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, what’s happening?" the boy yelled and kicked, but he couldn’t get down until she finally decided to drop him.
Everyone was stunned because she didn’t use wind or anything, so how did she do it? They didn’t even feel a heavy fluctuation in mana.
Riven watched in awe as well, though he already knew about her. She was called Firestorm, not as her real name, but she buried her real name in her past for certain reasons.
She was a mage, a prodigy. She graduated from the Royal Academy at only fourteen and went on to study at the council.
And she managed to do something that many mages had been struggling to do for hundreds of years, she created spirit magic, which was what she just showed right here.
"What I just did right now is called spirit magic, the ability to give your mana form. That form is what I used to pick him up.
As long as someone is within the effective range of my spirit zone, I can use spirit magic on that person," she explained.
The entire class burst into noise, talking about how awesome that was. Their expectations for this class rose rapidly and they wanted to learn more about it, but then she burst all their bubbles.
"But I’ll not be teaching you that, because it is extremely hard to learn and would probably take two years to five years to get relatively good at it.
I simply showed you all so that you can see the extent to which the spirit zone can be used. It is not simply a place where you can cast spells and do whatever, it’s the external presentation of what happens in your mind.
Your imagination gives shape and life to the mana. It sounds simple and straightforward, but as we go on, you’ll all come to understand how hard it is.
First is the logic of the spirit zone, its structure and how it came to be. Sadly, I will not be touching that, and it’s all up to you to do it. Whoever is not capable of presenting something good in the report by next class will leave this class and drop it.
The spirit zone is extremely important, and so, if you are going to study it, it will be best for you to do it with all your heart," she said, then she scanned the faces of everyone.
"Each of you has a spirit zone, but today I’ll be showing you a spirit zone. That’s all we will do before we end class for today," she said and then made sure she was standing at the center of the stage. She took a deep breath.
