CHAPTER 1244: SECOND DUEL!

From MC’s Perspective:

When midnight came, I opened my eyes and got out of bed. Then I looked at my body. Apart from the bruise on my skin, the internal injuries were all healed.

Now, I’m feeling better and started to ponder tomorrow’s duel. I was able to win today, but I know it’s not easy to repeat.

I have a good understanding of the old warriors. They have Ancient Inheritance as well, and their techniques are powerful.

Even middle-aged Ben has mastered his flame techniques. That’s why it was hard for me to block those flames, despite using the blood force during the duel.

I believe it will happen tomorrow. The Blazing Fire Faction has flame element warriors, but each of their flame elements is different.

Some have aggressive flames, while others have milder ones. But without a doubt, they are all dangerous.

If the warriors have Ancient Inheritance, their attacks would be even more powerful.

Today, I got firsthand experience. But the situation would have been different if I had used my own Inheritance power.

Yet, I’m still indecisive about whether to use it or not. If I had used the Inheritance power openly, I could have easily won the duel in the first few minutes.

But I was afraid of the aftermath. Anything could happen. Though Dean had made me lie, I still feel something is amiss.

What if things don’t go as I imagined? That’s why I’m not ready to use the Inheritance power yet.

I’ve decided to continue with brute force. It may lead to my first defeat ever, but I’m ready to face it.

After gaining some clarity, I went to the living room to practice. I sat cross-legged on the ground.

I closed my eyes and started running the blood method. The blood force from the surroundings was attracted to my body.

It started entering my body one after another. Feeling the energy, I began to circulate it.

The blood force coursed through my body. Once it appeared in my bloodstream, a blood light emerged and started the conversion.

The blood force energy converted into the mysterious white energy. This mysterious white energy then strengthened my bones.

The dark black and red skeleton began to grow stronger.

As time passed, I continued with the process. I’m not going to use other elements or inheritance.

I’m sure the faction leaders will be paying close attention. Since the blood force has an invisible nature, they won’t be able to see it.

But it’s different with other forces. Last time, no one paid attention; otherwise, I would have been exposed already.

Time passed.

Morning came. I stopped practicing after reaching my limit. I opened my eyes and felt immense strength in my bones.

Then I stood up and went to the bathroom to take a shower. I spent 20 minutes in the bath.

I walked out of the bathroom and began to change my clothes. After getting ready, I sat on the sofa and started reading the online news.

The news feed had many posts about the duel. Everyone was surprised by the duel because it was almost one-sided before I defeated the opponent.

After reading the online posts and articles, I decided to leave.

About 20 minutes later, I left the residence and started heading toward the duel arena. On the way, I came across faction members.

They were all looking at me with complicated emotions. They don’t know what will happen today.

They can’t be sure who is going to win today, just like the faction leaders and main elders.

These warriors had their own discussions among their group of friends. Everyone was convinced that Zack wouldn’t be able to win if he continued with the same trick.

So the warriors looked at him with a new gaze.

On the other hand, the faction leader and main elders learned of Zack’s departure. The news spread like wildfire.

Main Elders Austin and Ann had complicated expressions. They maintained a positive attitude but didn’t know what decision Zack would make.

As Zack’s masters, they will support him. The other main elders were ready to go to the duel arena.

A few minutes later, I arrived at the duel arena. There are many routes, but I used the participants’ path to reach the duel area. Then I entered the office and met with the staff.

They were all surprised. They didn’t expect me to come to their office. I started chatting with them. I didn’t want to stand on the fighting platform before the crowd arrived.

As time passed, the warriors started to appear in the duel arena. They began to take their seats. Everyone wanted to see today’s duel.

Today is more important than yesterday. More and more warriors started coming. Even those who hadn’t attended yesterday’s duel began to show up.

Warriors from the top 10 factions started arriving from the other sides. The warriors from the Blazing Fire Faction were more motivated than yesterday.

The top three warriors of their faction are strong. They believe the remaining two warriors won’t fall for Zack’s trick.

Warriors from the other elemental factions started coming in. The Bloodline Faction warriors arrived as well. Everyone wanted their faction’s top three warriors to fight against Zack.

Slowly, it’s going to happen in the coming days. They were eager to see what Zack would do. Surprisingly, a few warriors from the Thunderflame Faction came to support Zack Lockwood.

Most of them stayed in the inner hall and faction to watch the duel. They recalled how other warriors made fun of them yesterday, but the outcome changed in the end.

They refused to go through similar mood swings again, so they stayed back.

Viewing Block 1:

The faction leaders started coming in. Faction Leader Clifford made an entrance, followed by Blazing Fire Faction Leader Elmer.

Elmer wore a neutral expression, but there was expectation in his eyes. He looked at old man Clifford. He had said a few words to him yesterday.

But he didn’t regret it. He still thinks Zack won’t be able to pull the same tricks against Bella.

Seeing the tension between the two, the other faction leaders remained silent. But they knew the duel would be interesting.

Faction Leader Monica arrived. She was tense and had been in a bad mood since yesterday. She hoped that today, at least, that kid would be exposed.

Shortly afterward, Faction Leader Vince entered. Then the Bloodline Faction leaders arrived a few minutes later.
