CHAPTER 787: EAST

6 months later.

"We have finally arrived. So, this is the superpower of the east, Reitein?" Kanaria stretched her body while yawning.

"Well, this is going to be interesting." Jay nodded.

"Has Clovis arrived yet?" Christina asked.

"I’m not entirely sure. He’s been out of contact for the last three days." Melody shook her head.

"My biggest question is, why would you be here?" Luci glanced to the side.

The entire Libation Fiesta had assembled. Even Luci had completed her training two months ago from Aisha. However, there was one person who didn’t belong to the Libation Fiesta.

It was Hana. Hana simply looked as if it was the obvious thing to do. "What’s wrong? You guys are using my plane to reach this place. Be grateful."

"She’s too eager to receive the treatment." Kanaria rolled her eyes.

"What are you talking about? My intention in coming here is pure. I simply want to open a branch in the east, and this place is going to be the first step." Hana pouted.

"Is that so? Then, can we take the treatment first?" Christina snorted.

"Obviously not. Clovis has promised and fulfilled that promise." Hana looked away.

"..." Melody sighed before pointing to the front. "She’s not the only one though. There is one more person."

When they shifted their gaze to the front, they found Vina waiting for them.

"Hello." Vina waved her hand with a gentle smile. "Thank you for coming to this place."

"Well, Vina is Vina. The reason we come here is because of Clovis’ request." Kanaria shook her head helplessly.

Vina tilted her body and extended her hand toward the car behind her. "Please come in first. Let’s not make a scene in the open."

Jay and Ragna weren’t that concerned. Ragna simply stood in front of the car as though he were making sure everything was safe. Meanwhile, Jay entered the car without waiting for them.

Melody chuckled and followed suit.

Once the group entered the car, they departed from the airport.

"This place is definitely amazing. Having an airport is one of the hardest things simply because the threat is enormous. However, this place gathers six surrounding cities to create a defensive fortress for the airport. It’s no wonder this is a superpower country." Ragna muttered while looking outside.

"That is indeed true." Hana nodded. "Even my plane, or more like an airship, has to be designed that way due to the limited space. Most countries don’t have airports after all. They’re simply not profitable."

"I couldn’t care less about the airport. I’m more interested in the reason we’re here. After all, we haven’t been told anything about what we’re supposed to do." Kanaria glanced at Vina.

Vina nodded. "You might not know this, but the battle of successors has begun for the Dark Moon Mercenary.

"Right now, I’m planning to destroy one of the heirs. The Libation Fiesta is the one backing me, so when I was asked about a competition, I discussed it with Clovis, and the latter agreed because hunting is your group’s specialty.

"Thankfully, I’m able to shift the battlefield to what Clovis wanted, which is this place. Although I don’t understand his real intention, the mission this time is to crush my competition."

"Hmm..." Jay frowned. "How many competitors are there?"

"There are only three heirs, each having a division. If I can take down one of them right now, it means I only need to crush one more person to take over the Dark Moon Mercenary."

Jay crossed his arms. "In that case, what is the mission?"

"The mission hasn’t been decided yet, but the Dark Moon Sovereign is going to reveal that mission in two days."

"I see. Do you have an idea?"

"No. However, I do have an idea about our opponents." Vina opened a projection, showing a symbol.

"Huh? Isn’t that..." Hana was the first one to recognize it.

Vina smiled. "It looks like Hana recognizes this symbol."

"Who?" Kanaria frowned.

Melody opened the Skynet quietly and found it almost immediately. The symbol was three swords crossing each other with a blue rose blooming at the point of their crossing.

"Three Swords." Melody squinted her eyes. "This is a very powerful group that can be considered a powerhouse of the East.

"Although the group doesn’t have a Tier 9 human as its leader, they do have 3 Tier 8 humans as their leaders. In addition, the three founders are amazing individuals who have connections all over the place.

"There are rumors that they can ask for help, increasing their number to 10 Tier 8 humans."

Hana facepalmed while breathing heavily. "This is going to be a headache. My Skylark family has four Tier 8 humans. If we use our connections, we can probably gather six more, but this is the East, not Absalom."

"Are we going to fight this kind of influence?" Kanaria frowned. "No, right?"

"Well, from my perspective, the Three Swords are planning to expand to the west through the Dark Moon Mercenary." Vina shook her head helplessly. "So, we can only wait and see.

"Still, there’s something weird about this trial. Even though this is supposed to be a competition between the two of us, there are many exceptional individuals currently residing in this city.

"They aren’t supposed to be here, such as the one-eyed swordsman, the bloody pigeon, and even the R.A.I.D. I feel like this competition won’t be as simple as we imagine.

"However, for now, the Three Swords are sending 3 Tier 7 humans along with dozens of Tier 6 humans. Two of the three swords send out their disciples. While they are still Tier 6 humans, they have a pseudo-unique ability."

After hearing the briefing, Melody let out a long sigh, saying, "It looks like we’re going to have a headache this time."

"I wonder if I can even expand to the east at this rate. We can’t really annoy the Three Swords too much because they have the influence to hinder my business here." Hana scratched the back of her head.

"Well, we can only wait for Clovis before making a decision." Kanaria shrugged.

"Yeah. So, where’s Clovis?"
