CHAPTER 59: CHAPTER 059 COMMUNICATION

Upon close inspection, observing the fur color and judging by the Mental Power Fluctuations, it was clear that the Red Fox Warrior had grown very old.

The Red Fox Warrior remained particularly composed.

The Sphere Insect Warrior was quite young, and perhaps due to its nature, it also appeared very calm.

"What is this?" asked Red Fox.

After a brief exchange, Dragon Cypress keenly realized that these two were not as easy to fool as Ghost Fan had been.

Dragon Cypress spoke earnestly, "It is a sacred gift from the Natural God, the Dominating Throne of the Creator Civilization. It can store a vast amount of Origin Force, carrying me through Origin Force vacuums."

Red Fox asked, "What is the Creator Civilization?"

Dragon Cypress replied, "It is one of the powerful Outworld Civilizations destroyed by the Natural God. The Dominating Throne is the highest creation of the Creator Civilization."

Red Fox and White Rice were still somewhat confused.

White Rice asked, "Have you seen the Natural God???"

Dragon Cypress boasted unabashedly, "I saw it when I awakened during my fifth Age Period evolution. The Natural God guided me to obtain the Dominating Throne and helped me make a Contract with it, granting me the power to control it."

As expected, the Natural God was highly effective with the Insect Clan.

White Rice was the first to believe and could no longer remain calm, asking, "Was it the Natural God who guided you to us?"

Dragon Cypress replied, "No!"

Dragon Cypress quickly continued, "But I do travel on the Dominating Throne in search of Origin Force Points scattered throughout Cloud Trace Continent, looking for Insect Clan Warriors like you."

Dragon Cypress went on to explain, "I have taken on the responsibility of the Flame Spider Tribe. With the aid of the Dominating Throne, I travel between various Origin Force Points, engaging in trade with Insect Clan Warriors scattered across different lands."

"Flame Spider Roving Merchant? Trade?" White Rice asked excitedly.

Red Fox then questioned, "Cloud Trace Continent?"

Dragon Cypress explained, "The world under our feet is a super-gigantic sphere, a Life Planet. The Natural God divided it with a Divine Force Barrier into eight parts, which are eight continents. Cloud Trace Continent is one of them..."

Dragon Cypress elaborated in detail.

The story was much the same as the one he’d used to fool Ghost Fan. The only thing he omitted was the Starship Wreckage that lay across the land; through its Starship Passage, one could travel between Cloud Trace Continent and the Ten Thousand Nations Continent and trade with the Flame Spider Caravan.

Dragon Cypress falsely claimed to have discovered many Origin Force Points and to know many Insects.

Red Fox and White Rice had more or less understood but remained skeptical.

Red Fox asked, "How do you trade?"

White Rice asked, "Did you bring any Origin Force Food with you?"

Dragon Cypress responded, "Trading is concentrated at the end of spring and the beginning of summer each year. This year’s trading has already ended, and the next time will be next year. The primary purpose of my and Ink Orchid’s journey was to look for Land of Origin Force, so we carried very few goods."

Red Fox fell silent.

White Rice inquired, "What good things did you bring?"

Dragon Cypress answered, "The fruit produced from the Divine-Given Seed of the Southern Sour Jujube. I’ve brewed the fruit pulp into Ant King Honey. And I’ve kept all the Fruit Cores."

"Divine-Given Seed!" White Rice exclaimed in shock.

"Southern Sour Jujube? Ant King Honey?" White Rice searched through its Inherited Memory and then said, disappointed, "It’s of no benefit to my evolution and growth; I don’t really need it."

Dragon Cypress tried to sell enthusiastically, "Sphere Insects also have membranous wings; you could consider strengthening them a bit. Who knows, you might even fly."

White Rice firmly refused, "Not needed!"

"Alright then~"

Dragon Cypress said, "There is something you do need, but I’m afraid you can’t afford it."

White Rice fell silent.

Taking over the conversation, Red Fox asked, "What is it that we can’t afford?"

"This item is extremely precious..."

Dragon Cypress nudged Ink Orchid with his hind leg.

When it came to sales, Ink Orchid was a bit more skilled.

Ink Orchid opened the Spider Silk Bag, took out a Ghost Fan seed, pinched it with its Catching Feet, and displayed it as it introduced, "Origin Force Food from the Ghost Fan Divine-Given Seed of a High-Level Wooden Darkling Beetle Warrior! It has the miraculous effect of enhancing spiritual power! This is the rarest and most precious type of enhancement. The various benefits of strong spiritual power are described in your Inherited Memory; I don’t need to elaborate, do I?"

"Let me tell you, Ghost Fan Trees are also small arbors, and their fruit yield is particularly low—much lower than that of Rice Trees. It has a three-year Blossom-Fruit Cycle. The Ghost Fan Divine-Given Seed produced only just over six hundred Ghost Fan seeds, and many Insects are waiting in line to buy them..."

Dragon Cypress took over the conversation, saying, "Don’t underestimate Ink Orchid; it also owns a Divine-Given Fruit-Scented Orchid Seed."

Ink Orchid quickly followed up, "Dragon Cypress is favored by the Natural God and certainly has a Divine-Given Seed as well—one that’s not from the Natural God System but from the Creator Civilization, a unique Divine-Given Seed in all the world."

Below, White Rice straightened its tentacles, its demeanor becoming solemn upon hearing these words.

According to its Inherited Memory, only Insect Clan Warriors favored by the Natural God could obtain Divine-Given Seeds, which were extremely rare. Yet, in this conversation, Dragon Cypress and Ink Orchid had already mentioned four kinds of Divine-Given Seeds. This also meant that at least four kinds of Origin Force Foods produced from these Divine-Given Seeds were available for purchase from them. Among them, the Fruit-Scented Orchid Seeds and the Ghost Fan seeds were essentials for White Rice’s evolution and growth. Its heart burned with eagerness.

Red Fox, beating White Rice to the punch, asked, "How much for the Ghost Fan seeds?"

Dragon Cypress: "25 Source Stones per seed."

"Source Stones?"

As Beast Clan warriors lacked Inherited Memories, Red Fox was puzzled and turned its head towards White Rice.

White Rice also took a moment to locate the relevant Inherited Memories, then privately explained in detail using compressed Telekinesis and mental power.

Red Fox had an epiphany.

White Rice: "We don’t have Source Stones."

Dragon Cypress: "Couldn’t you sell the Origin Force Food produced from your territory?"

Red Fox: "How many Source Stones could the fruit produced by my White Rice Divine-Given Seed be sold for?"

Dragon Cypress replied truthfully, "It’s quite valuable. As for the specific price... I would need to see the mature fruit and assess its quality before setting one."

Red Fox then asked, "How much are you selling your Fruit-Scented Orchid Seeds for?"

Dragon Cypress replied, "8 Source Stones per seed. But this year’s yield has already been fully pre-ordered; there’s none left for this year. Perhaps next year or the year after, we can arrange a batch for you."

Red Fox continued, "What enhancement effect does that Divine-Given Seed from the Creator Civilization have?"

Dragon Cypress: "Water System Ability enhancement."

The Sphere Insect Warrior had a dual talent in earth and wood. White Rice was slightly disappointed. Red Fox, a member of the Beast Clan, possessed pure physical strength and had no Elemental Talent. It wasn’t disappointed.

Red Fox fell silent for a few seconds, then said, "Last question, Dragon Cypress Ant King, do you have any Origin Force Food in your trades that extend Life Span?"

Red Fox was indeed very old.

Dragon Cypress shook its tentacles gravely. "That would be Divine-Grade Origin Force Food, which breaks the Law of Life. Sorry to say, we don’t have that..."

Red Fox slowly lowered its head.

White Rice’s initially high spirits sank into sorrow, its tentacles drooping.

Seeing this, Dragon Cypress made a rough guess. Red Fox must have been born here a very, very long time ago, guarding the White Rice Divine-Given Seed as it evolved and grew. But a singular type of Origin Force Food, at best, could only help it evolve to a High-Level. Red Fox had then, by chance, come across White Rice, which had metamorphosed from an ordinary Sphere Insect into an Origin Force Life. It took White Rice in, protected it as it grew, and guided it in choosing a Life Seed, probably hoping to share some of the benefits... Unfortunately, it was too late. Red Fox was already old, its bodily functions declining, and it had no hope of advancing to becoming a Mountain Lord. It must have given up and thus given all the fruit produced from this Wild God-Given Seed to White Rice. That’s why White Rice had evolved to a High-Level Warrior at such a young age. Their relationship was clearly very strong. An old Beast Clan warrior and a young Sphere Insect warrior, relying on each other here, just like an elder and a junior.

Dragon Cypress fell into a somber mood for a while before asking, "When will the White Rice Divine-Given Seed mature?"

Red Fox, emerging from its despondency first, said, "The Blossom-Fruit Cycle for this White Rice Divine-Given Seed is three years. This batch of fruits still needs another six months to mature; they will be ready at the beginning of next summer."

Ink Orchid: "Then we will come again at the start of next summer. We also purchase the White Rice Fruit pulp, refining it into Ant King Honey."

Dragon Cypress: "White Rice, I will also buy the common Origin Force Food produced by your territory."

White Rice said, "My territory has only seven Life Seeds left unreaped this year. As for what has already been harvested, there isn’t much left..."

Dragon Cypress was about to speak when Ink Orchid raised its wing to tap Dragon Cypress gently, then pointed downwards with its foot.

A Sphere Insect Little Warrior, about twenty centimeters long, was hurrying their way along the ridge, running furiously.
