CHAPTER 600: CHAPTER 600: END OF OU LIN-2

More gasps. Someone spat on the ground. Another shouted, "So he kept another woman’s handkerchief while being married?!"

"How shameless!"

"No wonder he was always sneaking around!"

Ou Lin shook his head violently, sweat dripping down his face. "No! That’s not true! You’re being tricked by Su Jiyai. She’s the one who hates me. She must have told you all this to ruin me!"

Lianhua’s eyes narrowed with disgust. "You still dare to use Boss Su’s name? Do you think I am her sister? That was your plan from the beginning, wasn’t it? To get close to me because you thought I was her blood relative. How sad... I am not."

Ou Lin froze. His lips trembled, "Y... you are her sister... right? You must be lying... Everyone knows..."

But Lianhua laughed softly, her voice full of scorn. "I am not her sister. I am only her subordinate. Go ahead, ask anyone in this base. They will tell you the same."

The crowd immediately broke into whispers again.

"So he only chased her because he thought she was Boss Su’s sister?"

"That’s disgusting... so all his love words were just for power?"

"Ha! He’s nothing but a snake!"

Ou Lin felt the world spin. It was like someone had pushed him into a deep pit. His knees weakened, and he almost fell again. "No, no, no! I really love you! Please believe me!"

But no one looked touched anymore.

A man shouted from the side, "You betrayed our Boss once, didn’t you? You joined with outsiders to bully her!"

Another woman said, "And you dared to hold onto Boss Su’s handkerchief like some pervert. Do you think we don’t understand what that means?"

Someone else scoffed, "All this time he acted like he was loyal, but really he was just waiting for a chance to climb higher. Disgusting."

The voices grew louder, harsher.

"Shameless man!"

"I’ve never seen anyone as filthy as him!"

"He even made a proposal thinking we would cheer for him. What a joke!"

Ou Lin’s body shook violently. His face was red from shame, then pale again. He shouted over and over, "It’s not true! It’s not true! I didn’t do it! I didn’t betray anyone!"

But no one listened. The crowd’s insults poured like stones.

Lianhua crossed her arms, her smile faint and cruel. She looked down at him like he was a bug. "Ou Lin, you said you would give me everything. But all you gave me was lies and dirt. I should have never wasted my time with you."

Ou Lin’s lips trembled. Tears filled his eyes as he stretched his hand toward her. "Lianhua... please... don’t do this to me..."

But she stepped back, avoiding his touch, her voice sharp. "Don’t call my name again. From today, you are nothing but trash to me."

The shouts of the crowd grew louder. Some people even pushed forward. Their faces were red with anger.

"Throw him out!" one man yelled.

"Yeah! Kick this rat away!" a woman screamed.

They all surged forward, grabbing Ou Lin by the arms and shoulders. He struggled like a madman, twisting his body, shouting, "Let me go! Don’t touch me! I paid for my stay!"

But there were too many hands on him. One man punched him in the ribs, another twisted his arm behind his back. He cried out in pain, his knees scraping the ground as they dragged him toward the gate.

"Stop! Stop! You can’t do this to me! I have rights!" Ou Lin yelled desperately, his voice breaking.

Nobody listened. The crowd was like a tide, pushing and pulling him along. Finally, they reached the entrance of Hope Base. With one final heave, they hurled him out into the dirt. He landed hard, rolling on the ground, coughing.

He lifted his head weakly and shouted at the gate, "I paid for my stay! I gave you crystals! You can’t just throw me away like garbage!"

At that moment, with a loud clink, a handful of crystals fell onto him from above. They hit his back and scattered on the ground.

Everyone inside the gate burst out laughing. One man sneered, "Look, it’s his deposit. Seems like even Boss Su doesn’t want his dirty money."

A woman added with a mocking smile, "What a good slap in the face."

The laughter was sharp, cutting him like knives.

Ou Lin’s face twisted in rage. He picked up the crystals with trembling hands, then stood up, his eyes burning with hate.

He pointed at the security camera near the gate and shouted, "Su Jiyai! If you were really so salty about being rejected once, why didn’t you throw me out long ago? Why play such dirty games?!"

His voice cracked, but he kept screaming.

"I know what happened! Lianhua was never real! You planted her beside me from the start to trick me! You schemed against me all this time, and I didn’t even realize until the end!"

Inside the base, many people had gathered to watch the live scene of his tantrum. They chuckled coldly, shaking their heads.

Lianhua stood beside Su Jiyai, laughing softly at his madness. Su Jiyai only shook her head calmly. She leaned toward the microphone on the table and spoke, her voice clear and calm.

"Yes, Ou Lin. You are right. I did it because I realized I am a petty person."

Her words echoed across the speakers at the base entrance.

The people at the gate erupted in laughter. Some clapped, some cheered. "Boss Su is honest!" someone shouted. "That’s why we follow her!"

Far from making them think she was cruel, her words only made them admire her more.

They knew she wasn’t the kind of person to take revenge over rejection. To them, it was clear she had exposed a rat, not taken revenge on an innocent man.

Ou Lin’s face turned purple with fury. He jabbed his finger toward the camera again. "You’ll regret this! I’ll deal with you later!"

With that, he grabbed his scattered belongings, stuffed them into his bag, and stormed off into the night.

The gate closed behind him. People shook their heads. "Good riddance," one muttered.

But in the corner, Su Jiyai’s fan club stood together, their faces dark. One of them whispered, "Are we really just going to let him leave like that? After everything he did?"

Another clenched his fists. "No way. He doesn’t deserve to walk away free."

One by one, their eyes hardened with the same thought. "Tonight," one of them said softly. "We’ll teach him a lesson he’ll never forget."

Night fell. Ou Lin walked down a broken road outside the walls. His body ached, but he forced himself to keep moving. He fought off a few low-level zombies with his knife, cursing under his breath.

"Stupid base... stupid woman... all of them will regret this..." he muttered.

But suddenly, he felt a chill on his neck. He turned quickly, but before he could react, a heavy blow struck his back. He staggered forward.

"Who’s there?!" he shouted.

A sack was pulled over his head. Fists and kicks rained down on his body. He screamed, struggling, but his arms were yanked behind him.

He tried to fight back, but then he felt an invisible force pressing down on him. A psychic user was holding him.

"No! Stop! Let me go!" he begged, his voice muffled under the sack.

The fan club didn’t reply. They just beat him again and again until his body went limp. Blood dripped from his mouth, and his ribs felt like they were breaking. Finally, when he could no longer move, they left him lying in the dirt.

When he woke up hours later, the night was quiet. No zombies were near. He gasped in relief. "Lucky... I’m lucky..." he whispered.

Terrified, he scrambled up and stumbled away like a ghost, limping with every step.

By morning, he had reached a small base. The sign above the gate read: Starlight Base.

Inside, people turned to stare at him. Their eyes lingered too long, making his skin crawl. ’Do they know who I am?’ he thought, his stomach twisting.

Before he could leave, a man walked forward. He had a kind smile and introduced himself. "Welcome, traveler. I am Moon, the leader of Starlight. You must be tired. Are you looking for a resting place?"

Ou Lin hesitated, then nodded. "Yes... Yes, I need to rest for a while. I plan to go to Cedar Base later. I just need a place to stay for tonight."

Moon gave him an understanding look. "Of course. You are welcome here. Our base may be small, but we take care of guests."

Ou Lin felt relief. He quickly paid with crystals and rented a room. Most of his crystals vanished in an instant.

When he stepped inside the moldy little room, he sighed heavily.

The walls were damp, the floor cracked, and there was almost no food. He sat down and buried his face in his hands.

"Hope Base was so much better..." he muttered. "Food, electricity, safety... all gone because of her... Should I just go back and kneel? Maybe Su Jiyai will forgive me..."
