Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive
Chapter 291: The Beginning of Seclusion
CHAPTER 291: CHAPTER 291: THE BEGINNING OF SECLUSION
"Alright. Everyone should understand the risks involved. Let’s go inside and cultivate." Father Chu said while pulling his wife’s hand to stand next to the pool.
Chu Miao and Chu Hao took the lead to enter the pool followed by Ye Xuan.
Everyone found a spot to sit down and took on a meditating posture.
When the elders saw that all the juniors had already started to cultivate, they all entered the pool.
The pool was filled with spiritual energy that had been accumulating for thousands of years and had liquified. It seemed that the ancestors had expected their descendants to need a way to get stronger faster so they had come up with this idea.
Below the pool, there must be an array that included a spirit gathering array.
As Chu Miao emptied her thoughts to start her cultivation, she decided that she would study the array there to see if she could modify a similar one on the outside world once their sect was started.
She remembered that in ancient times, the academies and sects that taught young people to cultivate had similar places set up.
For instance, the sect that her grandfather had sent her to after she started cultivating before she started following him to the battlefield had a cultivation tower.
The tower had various levels that depended on one’s strength to cultivate in it.
To cultivate in the tower, you had to pay contribution points earned through missions. Once inside, you could climb to the floor that your strength allowed you to reach.
She remembered that the first floor was easy to stay in and the spiritual energy was a little denser than outside. However, the higher you went, the denser the spiritual energy.
The only issue was that climbing one level was as difficult as ascending to the heavens. It felt as if a force was pushing you back and pressing you down the higher you went.
Forcing yourself to climb to a level beyond your capabilities may be a blessing or a curse.
If you were lucky, you would increase your cultivation and also temper your physical body. Many people wanted to go to cultivate in the tower because they could temper their bodies with the force pressing them down.
A cultivator who had tempered their body was different from one who hadn’t. They could withstand fighting with people of a higher level than them. They could also endure more attacks since their bodies won’t give in easily.
Thus, many students tried hard to reach higher floors in the cultivation tower. Unfortunately, not many managed to go past the third level. Many found that to be the limit for their bodies.
However, such students were the ones coming from prestigious families. Those coming from poor backgrounds and loose cultivators wanted to make a name for themselves, so they would do whatever it took to improve, even if it meant hurting their bodies and risking hurting their foundation.
Chu Miao thought that if she could make something similar but less lethal in the future, maybe the juniors in the sect could become stronger faster than those from ordinary bases.
It could also allow those who are not talented in cultivation to at least have a way to advance their cultivation in a shorter time.
As these thoughts faded, Chu Miao felt the spiritual energy in the pool rush into her meridians and she instinctively started to circulate her cultivation technique.
Since she was a dual element cultivator, she had to ensure that all her elements advance together, so the cultivation technique she used had an affinity to both her light element and space element.
Moreover, she had realized that she seemed to have a unique physique that was very suitable for cultivation. With a little aid, her cultivation speed had increased almost to double it’s previous one.
The blessings given by the ancestor when they entered also proves to be very useful.
It had, in fact, expanded the meridians of all of them, thus, improving their cultivation speed.
The only downside to this, especially since the pool had too dense spiritual energy was controlling the absorption speed.
If they absorbed the spiritual energy too fast, it would tear their meridians apart and maybe crack their dantian.
However, for Chu Miao who had been a cultivator in her past life and still had all her memories intact, this was a piece of cake.
She could control how much spiritual energy was entering her meridians and circulate it several times to purify it before sending it to the dantian.
She repeated this otherwise boring process over and over again.
The others were having a challenging time to adapt, except for grandpa Chu who had recovered some of his ancient memories and Ye Xuan who seemed to have a natural affinity to cultivation.
Mother Chu was the first to be overwhelmed by the dense spiritual energy rushing into her dantian. She could feel her meridians cracking and soon, blood seeped out of her skin.
Her dantian was also taken full and was expanding without any sign of stopping. She had no choice but to leave the pool and sit at the side to circulate the spiritual energy she had already absorbed and little by little assimilate it into her dantian.
This process also helped her to heal her cracked meridians and skin. She finally understood what Chu Miao and her grandfather meant when he said not to take any risk and leave the pool if overwhelmed.
It took the family two days to get their bodies to finally get used to such dense spiritual energy entering their bodies.
Apart from Chu Miao and Ye Xuan, everyone else had left the pool to meditate outside at least once.
Only the two people with the rarest elements didn’t seem to be affected by the dense energy. Moreover, both Chu Miao and Ye Xuan had advanced at least once in only two days.
Ye Xuan was now at the third level of Qi refinement while Chu Miao was on the verge of breaking through to the middle level of foundation establishment.
