CHAPTER 321: CHAPTER 321: THE BUNKER

Most of them were injured and had decided to hide in the mountain for a while to heal their injuries.

Being tired, Lei Ying couldn’t move anymore and had leaned against the stone wall of the mountain, only for the stone to sink into the mountain and a door appeared next to it.

Such a coincidence had saved them a lot of trouble.

When Chu Miao saw what the bunker looked like inside, she was shocked. The bunker was not similar to what she had imagined.

She had thought that since it was built decades ago, it was just a big cave sectioned into various smaller rooms looking primitive and backwards.

However, what was in front of her was something that seemed to have come out of a sci-fi movie.

The entrance wasn’t as narrow as she had expected. At least five people could walk side-by-side inside the entrance. The walls were pristine white and not the kind of paint that would come off or become dull with time.

This was evident from the fact that the walls were still pure white even after existing for decades and there was no mould on them although the place hadn’t seen the sun or been aired for a long time.

About fifteen meters from the entrance, there was a disinfection chamber. It looked similar to those chambers found in ICU in the hospital where doctors pass through and a disinfectant mist is sprayed on their bodies to kill any germs or bacteria that might cause diseases or infection.

Chu Miao didn’t understand how something so advanced had existed when the bunker was built.

The disinfection chamber had glass doors and one could see everything going on inside. It also looked like the glass was bullet proof.

As Chu Miao and Ye Xuan got close to the door of the disinfection chamber, the doors opened automatically and the two walked straight inside.

As soon as they stepped into the chamber, the doors closed again and disinfectant was sprayed on them for a full minute before it stopped and the door leading to the inside of the bunker opened.

The two walked out without saying a word. It was only when the doors closed again behind them that Chu Miao finally spoke.

"How is this place so old yet so advanced?"

"I don’t know. When we found it, it was like that. The disinfection chamber had helped us a lot at that time in preventing wound infections, which led to us healing faster than anticipated." Ye Xuan had also been surprised by how advanced the place was at that time.

But it worked to their advantage so he didn’t care and just made full use of the resources for his soldiers.

Chu Miao looked around and found that they were in an open area, kind of like a reception but without the desks and attendants.

It wasn’t completely empty either as there were supplies lying around the place. It looked like the last time Li Kun and the others came to drop off the supplies, they were in a hurry and just emptied them there without a care.

With a wave of her hand, Chu Miao took all the supplies there into her space. They then walked around the reception area examining the walls that had been painted white as well.

They wanted to determine from what area they could start the expansion. It couldn’t be too close to the entrance because the mountain there was a bit narrow, but moving further inside, it was possible because the mountain was far wider than what had already been carved out.

The two walked around the bunker that had hundreds of rooms. Chu Miao took the supplies stored in each room and also the things left behind by the people who had occupied the bunker before Ye Xuan.

Even though a part of the mountain had been hollowed out to make the bunker, only a small part of it had been used. The rooms were small and only enough for a bed, a dressing table, and a small wardrobe.

However, this was already big enough in a situation where living space was limited. For a single person, the bunker rooms were indeed big enough.

If they used double-bunk beds, then each room could house two people.

"The area that is already available for living could be used for the regular people in the future. Those doing odd jobs and things like farming and so on." Chu Miao said then she pointed on one side and continued.

"This place could be hollowed out and made into a common kitchen and dining area. Then some gardens and paths can be created after that leading in different directions.

We can then build living quarters of low level cultivators near the dining area and move on like that until we build living quarters for the high-level management of the sect and higher-level cultivators.

What do you think about this plan?" Chu Miao asked Ye Xuan with a smile on her face.

"It’s a good plan. What about the training ground and the pool you talked about? Also, there is the cultivation tower you mentioned." Ye Xuan wanted to know all the plans his girlfriend had after finally seeing the place.

"The training ground should be a distance from the living quarters. So it can be built at the very back.

The pool should be a short distance from the training ground to facilitate easy access.

As for the cultivation tower, that will probably have to wait until we find the right materials and skills to formulate it.

It would need space stones that could be used to manipulate space laws allowing the tower to appear small on the outside but the space inside would be big. Kind of like a space ring.

We also need classes and a meeting square. Let’s build everything one step at a time." Chu Miao explained while thinking about where to get such rare materials required to actualize their dream.
