Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive
Chapter 419: Plans Of Installing a Solar System
CHAPTER 419: CHAPTER 419: PLANS OF INSTALLING A SOLAR SYSTEM
The two elders were left with the lighter ones and they could say nothing but to follow.
As they walked away, some whispers from those lining up followed them. Everyone was wondering who the young girl given so much respect was.
"Alright, let’s get back to work. Move forward and get registered. If you want to know who that was then hurry up." Another soldier urged those gossiping people and the registration resumed.
Chu Miao found that her mother and the other women helping in plowing the flower beds and turning them into gardens for growing vegetables and other foods were already done.
Even though the other women might be a bit slow, those with superpowers and especially He Yan who was a cultivator could do things faster.
Moreover, it looked like they had used water and wood elements because there were already sprouts visible in the gardens.
The seeds planted had already germinated and brojen through the soil.
In less than a week, the people within the community could start eating fresh vegetables and some fruits like strawberries.
They had also planted grapes and other fruits that don’t require growing the plant into a towering tree.
Chu Miao led the Feng family to their apartment, which happened to be on the tenth floor.
The soldier had considered that they needed to walk up and down the stairs to go out, and also in case of another flood, the tenth floor would be safe.
The apartment had been occupied before and the owners had gone to the government base.
As such, it had everything that a household required including regular appliances.
Because the leaders within the sect didn’t want people living in the community to feel unbalanced, Grandpa Li had suggested installing a solar system within the community.
They planned on installing a large solar system that could supply enough electricity to every household within the community and allow them to use at least the light appliances.
The others had thought that the idea was good and some of the residents together with the soldiers were already working on it.
The Chu family had hoarded a lot of things and solar panels were one of them.
However, they didn’t take them out as they wouldn’t be enough and Chu Miao had also expressed her desire to build more modern design houses in the soul ring.
They couldn’t keep using the ancient candles as light especially since the space had changed after the last time when the stream and forest appeared.
At first, it was always daytime inside the soul ring but later, it became normal with day and night. The only difference with the outside world was the speed of the flow of time.
A day outside was almost equivalent to ten days in the soul ring.
Thus, some of the construction materials collected would be used to build houses inside the soul ring.
However, since they had taken many materials from the factories and even had pre-fabricated houses including villas and office buildings, some could still be contributed to the sect.
Most of them would be used in renovating the bunker.
"This place looks as if nothing has happened at all. People are going around doing their own things, you are growing crops, children are playing.
It looks so normal." Mother Feng commented while looking around as they headed to their apartment building.
The plan for training was still being refined and the official training hadn’t began yet. Thus, the sect was still like a normal community where children who were not cultivating were just playing.
"We are trying to make life as normal as possible. That’s why we have a school, a hospital, a cafeteria, and other facilities.
However, we are still going to implement some changes because life cannot be as smooth as before.
So, there is going to be training for all individuals including children as long as they are not too young and even the elders as long as they are not too old to move.
We don’t need them to train intensely but just enough for them to be able to defend themselves if they find themselves in a situation where no one could protect them.
Even if they cannot fight, they have have to be able to run. That’s why you guys also have to prepare yourselves mentally.
In the next couple of days, this will be implemented." Chu Miao explained their plans to the Feng family.
"That’s such a good plan. Even though staying here is safe, you can never know if something happens. It is good to be prepared for any circumstances and being able to run even if we can’t fight is a good strategy." Father Feng supported this initiative.
He and his wife had been forbidden by their daughter to go out and hunt zombies before and he couldn’t convince her. Now that they had a legitimate reason to train, he was happy about it.
Feng Tu also understood this, but after listening to Chu Miao, she also realized that she had been short-sighted in refusing to let her parents go out and kill zombies.
They were no longer living in a peaceful world. In the current apocalypse, everyone should at least be able to escape from zombies or hostile survivors.
After setting the luggage down, mother Feng went to clean and found that everything was already cleaned. It looked like some people had prepared the apartments for the arrival of more survivors.
"Aunt Feng, you don’t need to clean anything. You can just unpack." Chu Miao kindly informed the older woman who stood surprised inside the kitchen.
"The people here are really nice. They even cleaned the houses for the new members." Mother Feng commented as she started to take out things that could be used in the kitchen and supplies.
Of course Chu Miao couldn’t tell them that they were afraid that some people had died in some of the apartments and with the epidemic still going on, they had to clean up every spot within the community and disinfect to prevent spreading.
