"Dinner is ready." Just as Chu Miao was thinking about the memories she had gained that day, she heard her mother’s voice calling them for dinner.

There were still some people who could only fill one gallon of water a day even after training for months.

However, such a small amount of water was still very valuable.

The sect had also decided to place several water tanks within the community and have those individuals with water superpowers to go there and fill them with water daily.

This was a form of training and it could also supply the residents with water constantly.

There was so much food in the space ring it was practically bursting at the seams.

If the warehouse wasn’t that big, she didn’t know what they would do with so much cooked and raw food.

As she replied several meat and vegetables dishes appeared on the table. There was also a pot of hot soup that had been cooked by her mother before using the livestock and vegetables grown inside the space ring.

When the members of the Li family walked into the dining room, they were still surprised when they saw the spread of dishes on the table.

This was richer than what some people ate even before the apocalypse. Moreover, the meat on the serving dishes on the table looked fresh and not frozen or preserved.

They wondered where the Chu family got fresh meat so often but they knew better than to ask such questions.

"You old geezer, I should move into your house permanently. How can you eat so we’ll everyday while I eat food that wasn’t fit for horses?" Grandpa Li started bombarding grandpa Chu as soon as he saw the dishes.

Of course he was just joking as in the apocalypse, the food they ate at least had some vegetables and had a semblance of a balanced diet.

They also ate until they were full, unlike many people who were already starving to death.

Even though Chu Cheng knew that his friend was just jesting, he replied seriously and invited him to stay.

"Why do you think I went to get your old bones for? Of course it’s to bring you along with me so that you can relieve my boredom and I will give you a plate of meat everyday.

How does that sound?" Grandpa Chu also replied jokingly, but he was actually seriously inviting his friend.

The two had known each other for over four decades, so they understood each other well.

They both knew when one was just making fun and when they were serious and Grandpa Li could tell that his friend meant what he said.

"Alright, I want to see if I don’t eat your supplies to bankruptcy." Grandpa Li knew that his friend had a good reason for his invitation, so he agreed without many questions.

The others didn’t understand their way of communication but they were used to the two old men who although didn’t see each other often before the apocalypse, still had such great chemistry.

Therefore, they never interfered with whatever they did.

The two families sat down and had dinner together. With all the food either coming from the soul ring or having been cooked with water from the spiritual spring, the amount of spiritual energy gained from one meal was significant.
