Apocalypse: Transmigrated General's Daughter Uses Space to Survive
Chapter 428: Time Flow in the Soul Ring
CHAPTER 428: CHAPTER 428: TIME FLOW IN THE SOUL RING
The others, especially the women, were relieved to hear that. No woman wanted to age faster than normal.
In fact, most wanted to slow down the aging process. That was why before the apocalypse, there were so many cosmetic companies producing anti-aging creams and serums.
There were also many popular cosmetic surgery procedures to help people reverse their aging process.
However, with cultivation, it is a natural anti-aging process and cultivators don’t have to pay a price for their beauty procedures.
Thus, hearing that they could cultivate at a faster rate in the soul ring without affecting their aging delighted the Li family women.
"So, the fresh food you have been giving to us comes from here?" Grandpa Li changed the topic as he was more interested in the rural-style lifestyle in the space.
Looking at the crops, the livestock, and generally the environment, it was very interesting.
"Yes, most of it came here. So, if you don’t have any food don’t shy away from asking." Chu Mo replied proudly.
He was one of the people responsible for growing food and usually helps his wife to prepare and store them in the warehouse and the kitchen.
He found satisfaction in such simple tasks.
"Okay, seeing how there is an abundance of everything here, I will no longer stand on ceremony." Grandpa Li replied with a hearty laugh.
"Okay, let’s find each of you a place to cultivate in the courtyard. And it seems that more people will come in here in the future, the small courtyard won’t cut it.
Little Hao, start making plans to construct new houses here for those who might come later." Grandpa Chu had the foresight of a leader and could already imagine that with the first batch of outsiders coming into the Soul Ring, more would follow.
"Okay, Grandpa. We could first set up the pre-fabricated houses that you and second grandpa found. This will lower our costs and improve efficiency.
We do, however, need to connect those solar panels we found. Even though we have those crystals and chargeable solar lamps that can be used here, it would be great if we can have a constant supply of electricity here." Chu Hao was agreeable to his grandfather’s suggestions on expanding their residence in the Soul Ring and even added his own ideas.
"Alright." Chu Mo replied as he walked behind his father and led everyone into the courtyard.
Grandpa Chu decided to postpone the tour of the place until they came out of seclusion.
He wanted all of them to go into seclusion for at least three days in the outside world before giving the Li family a tour and also starting to plan about the construction.
Chu Miao didn’t see any use in following the crowd and she and her brother broke away from the rest of the group and went to the library.
Since they had decided to promote the study of alchemy and the other professions, they had to find the right books, especially for beginners.
Chu Miao also wanted to pick up alchemy again so she had to refresh her knowledge as well.
The two spent a few hours inside the library and came out with several books in hand.
Chu Miao had not only chosen books about alchemy, she had also picked a few about talisman drawing and array formations.
She wanted to give Ye Xuan a couple of them that detailed the creation of array disks deeper.
"Are you ready to go out?" Chu Hao asked when he walked out and found his sister standing outside the courtyard looking at the vast space in front of her.
"Yeah, let’s go. We have a lot of things to do.
I want to start working on the teleportation array that could send us to the bunker.
I also want to build a few smaller teleportation arrays that lead to random places in the city or even outside it.
I was also planning to make one-use teleportation arrays to distribute to our sect members for emergency purposes." Saying everything out loud made Chu Miao realize just how many things she needed to do and within a short period of time.
"Why so many teleportation arrays?" Chu Hao asked right before his vision blurred and he found himself back in the living room of the Chu family apartment.
"I thought about a method used in ancient times to train young people.
They would be sent to random places either in groups or alone and forced to survive there while fighting demon beasts or plants.
It wasn’t safe as many lost their lives in the process. However, those who managed to come out of just one training session experienced a significant increase in strength and their mentality also changed.
I was thinking that we could employ the same strategy if we want our people to grow stronger faster.
It will involve a certain level of risk since someone could be sent into the midst of a huge horde of zombies. However, those who managed to crawl out of a place like that would become a huge asset to the sect." Chu Miao knew that the modern era was different and many people may not be very accepting of this training method that might be seen as barbaric.
Nevertheless, the situation with the apocalypse didn’t allow for people to adjust to a cruel way of doing things. If they had to wait to adjust, then humanity might have been wiped out by then.
They need strong warriors and cultivators and such a method of training might help to deliver.
"Alright, I trust your judgement. We can just give the members more things to protect themselves such as weapons and elixirs.
The spiritual spring water is also useful and might save some lives.
If you think this will work, then our whole family will support you. I am also sure that those who understand the severity of the situation humanity is in will agree to your plans." Chu Hao was a yes-man when it came to his sister and Chu Miao knew it.
