CHAPTER 76: CHAPTER 75: OH NO! A SKILL EXPLOSION!

Gazing at the sapphire-blue light screen, the text on it was clearly visible. Chen Pingchuan hesitated for a moment, then resolutely made up his mind.

"Enter Simulation!"

[Simulation Initiated]

[This simulation consumes 100 Simulation Points]

[Remaining simulation cooldown: 71:59:59]

[Drawing random talent. Fixed Talents do not consume Simulation Points.]

[Ding! You have acquired the Rule-Type Skill: Sleight of Hand!]

[Sleight of Hand]: Rule-Type Skill. Level: None. Effect: Active. Allows you to randomly steal one item of any kind from a target. Can only be used on the same target once per natural day.

Note: "Items" are not limited to physical objects. They can also include emotions, moods, organs, etc.

PS: Legend says that those who possess this talent are morally bankrupt and practically begging for a beating. Of course, these skillful hands have other uses as well.

Seeing the text on the light screen, Chen Pingchuan felt as if his entire world had changed.

He first raised his right arm, then flipped his right hand back and forth several times. Looking at this seemingly ordinary hand, he felt an innate familiarity, as if it were guiding him on how to use his newly acquired skill.

"Is this the power of a god?"

Chen Pingchuan hadn’t even had time to adapt to the new physical changes when the simulator started its next deduction.

This was completely different from before. Now, the simulator no longer required his full concentration or the expenditure of his Spiritual Power to proceed. It seemed to have acquired an independent operating mechanism, becoming smoother, more natural, and more automated.

[Using your extraordinary imagination, you resolve all the doubts you had upon waking. If the Goddess of Luck knew, she’d have to call you a genius.]

[The next morning, you gave a huge stretch. You slept soundly, undisturbed by any noise outside.]

[After a quick word with your family, you set off for school with your empty backpack, venturing down the familiar old street, past the familiar shops, and seeing the familiar breakfast shop owner.]

[This time, you order three flavors of tofu pudding, six steamed buns, and four tea-leaf eggs. As for why you chose this, it’s because you feel that in the eyes of a god, all things are equal.]

[Arriving at your usual classroom, you find your classmates are as unfriendly as ever. With your keen hearing, you know they are mocking you behind your back. One small clique among them is the most brazen.]

[Their leader, a boy named Liu Haofeng, is supposedly the son of a high-ranking official. However, he has no idea what kind of opponent he is provoking.]

[After enduring a long forty-five-minute academic career, you finally breathe a sigh of relief. Honestly, even gods can’t stand studying, let alone mortals.]

[During the break between classes, your classmates start trickling into the outdoor toilets by the playground. You tail Liu Haofeng and his friends into the restroom, then use your imposing aura to make everyone else leave.]

[At first, Liu Haofeng and his cronies think you’re just putting on an act. A trash player with bottom-tier simulation scores dares to corner them? You flash a wicked grin and shout, "Let me show you the meaning of divine terror!"]

[Two minutes later, you straighten your perfectly unwrinkled clothes, put on the lonely air of a master, and leave the scene of the battle.]

[Ten minutes later, you are summoned to the dean’s office. A stuffy-looking old man subjects you to twenty minutes of ’brainwave torture.’ As anger boils inside you, you lament internally. The life of a fallen god is so full of hardships.]

"Hahaha, I’m dying!"

In the silent night, Chen Pingchuan’s laughter was particularly jarring. He quickly covered his mouth to suppress any further noise; otherwise, that curious little imp of a sister would probably come and bother him again.

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

"Brother, what are you laughing at? Let me in, I want to see too."

"I’m not laughing at anything, I was just having a nice dream in my sleep. Go on back to bed. I’m going to sleep too. Besides, I’m not wearing anything right now. You’re a girl, so you can’t come in, understand?"

Chen Pingchuan just wanted to get rid of his sister quickly. He was dying to find out how the simulation would develop next.

Since she couldn’t see Chen Pingchuan’s face, Belia couldn’t tell if his answer was true or false. Though his tone was slightly dismissive, the heartfelt joy within it was real and undeniable.

Recalling her earlier interaction and gift exchange with Chen Pingchuan, Belia muttered to herself, "So, is he this happy because of me? Or is it because of the gift I gave him?"

No blush appeared on Belia’s fair, smooth face, yet for the first time, she truly felt the sensation of her cheeks burning hot.

Her tone became surprisingly gentle. "I’m sorry, brother. I accidentally deleted your contact information just now. Can we add each other again in a bit?"

Even with a door between them, Chen Pingchuan saw right through Belia’s little trick. Heh, ’accidentally,’ my ass. You think I can’t see through your lie? You just don’t want to sleep and want me to chat with you for free. Dream on. A little slip of a girl trying to deceive a god. Foolish mortal.

Although numerous thoughts flashed through his mind, his spoken words remained as calm as ever, betraying no ripples.

"Alright, I’ll accept in a bit. You should get to sleep early too, little sis, or you won’t grow tall."

Just as Chen Pingchuan finished speaking, he suddenly felt a powerful aura rise up. He glanced around, bewildered, but found nothing. Just as strangely as it had appeared, the aura vanished.

"Then you should sleep early too, brother. See you tomorrow."

"Yeah, see you tomorrow."

Outside Chen Pingchuan’s room, the false parents looked at Belia in shock. If they had heard correctly, the person in the room had just mentioned this great lady’s taboo. The last person to say that had their ashes scattered to the wind.

Both the Captain of the Guard and the maid were extremely curious to see Belia’s reaction. To their surprise, however, Belia only frowned slightly and muttered something under her breath.

"Chen Pingchuan, you big liar... Just you wait. I’ll make you pay."

Belia’s voice was sweet, soft, and very quiet. If one weren’t standing very close, they wouldn’t have been able to hear her at all.

And so, the two by the bedroom door had no way of knowing what was going through the mind of the person they knew as the ill-tempered, ruthless Bloody City Lord. But before they could puzzle it out, they felt a detached gaze fall upon them.

The gaze belonged to their master, Belia.

They hurriedly lowered their heads, not daring to look at her, like children who had been caught misbehaving. Only when they heard the click of Belia’s door shutting did the two of them let out a long sigh of relief.

They exchanged a look, each seeing the regret in the other’s eyes. It seemed they wouldn’t be able to watch this interesting show any longer.

As for Chen Pingchuan, he turned his attention back to the simulator’s virtual light screen. For some reason, he felt an urge to shout one thing: "In reality, I’m a pushover, but in the simulation, I’m a heavy hitter! Let’s go, simulated me! Time to soar!"

Chen Pingchuan stroked his chin. Considering how personality affects the future, I feel like my simulated self is way cooler. Watching him is so damn satisfying!
